Appearance: Waist length, slightly wavy, silver-blonde hair. Blue-grey eyes. Athletic build (small, lithe, much stronger than she looks)

Personality: Loyal, doesn't trust easily, observant, smart. You can easily see her emotions on her face, despite her best efforts to hide them. Curious, somewhat tempramental, doesn't always think things through before she acts, adventurous, doesn't like to not have anything to do. Quick to protect those that need it. Caring and empathetic. Fierce.

Name: Clouded Leopard

Appearance: Leopard ears & tail, white-blonde hair, turquoise eyes, red shirt, pink jacket. Usually wears denim jeans. Nails painted light blue. Simple shoes like sandals or sneakers.

Personality: Poetic, thoughtful, easily spooked, intelligent and clever, cautious, helpful and loyal.

Name: Scylla

Appearance: Copper skinned, black hair in a braid. Turquoise eyes. About 5'5". Wears comfortable stuff.

Personality: Fairly large vocabulary, reads a lot, brings a notebook and pencil everywhere. Always has a quick, witty comeback and doesn't make friends easily. Writes a lot as well.

Name: Shadowmoon (you can call me Shadow)

Appearance: Long, black hair, pale skin, blue eyes. Large, feathered wings. (Optional)

Personality: Very spunky, outgoing, fangirlish. Quick to apologize. Loves to read. 

Day 1~

Ballet had always avoided water. She didn't know why, but it always made her nervous. She thought that perhaps it had something to do with her Ro-ness. Maybe she was the keeper of a fire sign, like Leo?

She was in a room with 11 other girls. With a start, she noticed her friends had been changed; their skin was now a light shade of a color, a pastel, and their hair was a different, slightly darker shade.

Rose Bud had pale red skin and deep purple hair.

Owlgirl had light blue skin and grey hair.

Athena had light brown skin and black hair.

Scylla had light green skin and midnight purple hair.

Shadowmoon had paper-pale skin and deep black hair.

Kestrel had light orange skin and red hair.

Joan of Arc had light grey skin and dusky black hair.

Jack-a-Nat had light yellow skin and golden hair.

Clouded Leopard had ivory skin and light brown hair.

And Riddler-

oh. Riddler looked the same as usual.

Ballet looked down at herself and gasped; she had pale pink skin and cerulean hair. It was a lovely color combination.

"Does this mean that you guys are Ro?" Riddler asked, seeming a tad hurt.

"I guess," Scylla said, not realizing the effect on Riddler. Riddler wilted slightly, and Ballet wanted to hug her.

A bright light flashed in the room, and three girls appeared.

The first was the most petite. She had pale teal skin and sea green hair. She smiled politely.

Beta Ro.

The second was the tallest. She had hot pink skin and hair, and was pleasantly plump.

Gamma Ro.

The third was pale yellow with burnt ombre hair. She was tall and lanky.

Epzeta Ro? Yeah, we'll go with that.

"We have a simple test to start," Beta Ro said, "but it's getting late, so we'll make this quick."

Beta, Gamma, and Epzeta vanished. Spigots opened in the walls of the room.

The girls stood and screamed as water began to rush in. A loudspeaker turned on:

"Don't worry, girls, it will only fill this room halfway. It'll only be a little over your heads. You can swim, correct?"

All the girls but Ballet calmed down, nodding. Ballet jumped on Rose Bud's shoulders, whimpering.

"Hey, it's OK!" Rose Bud said, "Why are you afraid?"

Ballet didn't answer. The water was knee-deep now on Rose Bud.

"Come on, it's fine!" Rose Bud said, prying Ballet off. Ballet fell into the water and her legs went numb. She shuddered in terror.

Wait, this wasn't so bad! Maybe-

"WARNING: AUTOMATIC SPIGOT SHUTOFF MALFUNCTIONING."

Ballet screamed.

The water was now almost over her head, and Ballet couldn't for the life of her get her numb legs to kick. She screamed along with the others as 90% of the room filled with water-

The Alpha Ro woke. Her host's own mind was asleep, unaware of the carnage she was about to cause. Alpha was furious that Riddler would even PRESUME to be a Ro. She swam to Riddler, who was just keeping her head in the air pocket, and dragged her under.

Riddler frantically tried to kick away, but Alpha had her; Riddler was shocked when she saw Alpha's host's face.

Soon enough, Riddler stopped struggling. Alpha put her in a corner of the room underwater before swimming back up with the others. Alpha released her host's body.

Ballet was underwater, and no one knew.

Her legs wouldn't budge, and there was no oxygen. She screamed in a haze of bubbles when she saw a dark, unconscious form across the room.

I just need to reach her, Ballet thought, I just-

She moved both legs in a mermaid-pattern. She swam to the form and with shockingly good underwater eyesight beheld the Riddler, limp in the water.

Without thinking, Ballet pushed her hands out. The water in the room forced the walls down, gushing out in a wave, and sending everyone in the room sliding out, Ballet with them.

Beta, Gamma, and Epzeta appeared, looking horrified.

"Sugars! You OK?" Gamma asked.

"Fine, I think," Athena said, remarkably calm.

"Not Riddler! She's unconscious!" Ballet called. It was strangely hard to breathe without water-

Everyone turned and froze. "What?" Ballet asked.

She turned and screamed when she saw her tail. Not legs. Tail.

"I-I-go help Riddler!"

Shadowmoon, Kestrel, and Jack-A-Nat ran to help Riddler.

The rest still stared at mermaid-Ballet.

Beta Ro walked forward. "Everyone, please welcome Delta Ro, Keeper of Pisces."

That night, the girls had a sleepover.

Riddler was in the infirmary. Ballet hoped that she'd be OK.

It was twelve at night when Athena called, "Is anyone awake?"

"Yeah, now I am. Thanks sugar," Gamma pouted.

"Shh!" Shadowmoon called, "I need beauty sleep or whatever the Ro call it!"

"Thank you. You seem smart," Gamma smiled.

"Can free will exist with divine preordination?" Beta asked.

"Shh," Capricorn said.

"I agree, please be quiet," Kestrel groaned.

"Blbblbblde!" Ballet, who had recently learned that she could never change back into a human now, said something in her fish bowl.

"She just said she wants to talk with Epsilon and Zeta, apparently those three have struck up a friendship," Beta said.

"How did you-" Scylla began.

"Ours is not to ask why," Beta responded.

"I'm under the bed!" Epzeta said.

"What the-" Jack-A-Nat gasped, as they were under her bed.

"Sounds fun," Joan smiled, crawling under with them.

"Can we PLEASE go back to sleeeeeep?" Clouded Leopard asked plaintively.

"SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH then," Scylla said.

Obviously, no one got any sleep that night.

Except Riddler.

She slept the sleep of the dead.
