Sharing Photography
Okay, so I ran across the Art Posting thread, which made me really excited. I love art, learning techniques, and just enjoying other people's masterpieces. Then I thought, what else do I really love doing besides reading, art, and video games? Photography!
And that is why this thread now exists. I love photography almost more than art. and the Art Sharing thread inspired this, so thank you. I want this thread to be a place where people can share their photographs they have taken. A place to share the stories behind the pictures. A place, really, where your photography can be enjoyed by others, and where story inspirations can sprout.
So what do you say? Wish to join in the fun of photography? Even if you don't take pictures, you are more than welcome to come join in with comments and stories. I'll share some of my own photos once this thread is up.
@Lap R. Again, thank you for creating the Art Posting thread. I hope it is fine with you to have this thread, being that it was sort of your idea, but with art.

I took this one when we were in Japan:

Lovely picture, Butterfly! I like the contrast the red adds to the surrounding background. Japan is one place on my Places to Visit list.

I had no idea it turned out that well! But now that I'm looking at it I think it's a good photo. A sunset over Lake Kampeska, SD.

Oh yes, I have to agree. That is a stunning photo, Stormfly! I love the colors it shows surrounding the sun. And it still hurts to even look at the sun in the picture. That is how I know it is great. Again, another photo! And again my thread was revived... I really need to do a better job with that.

My Grandma took this picture while we were in the Oregon caves:

That's stunning!

I love that picture, Emodaisy! It captures the vivid colors of the gazania sunflower (right?) very well. It just pops out from the green and white of the remaining photo. Great work!

I have a really good idea for a picture. I'm going to SD next week and my Aunt and I are going to take pictures of wind turbines in honor of me going to Kidwind Nationals in New Orleans.

I kinda feel like I'm hogging the thread but here's another picture I took:
the sunset over the trees in my backyard....

No, you aren't hogging the thread, Stormfly. I love all of your pictures, including this one! The sky looks like that of a fairytale, showing a large variety of colors to create a stunning backdrop. And the silhouette style of the hills and tree are amazing as well!

Thanks!

I hope this works! I actually took this picture by accident! But I felt like it was better than pictures I meant to take (that's how bad I am at taking picturess!)
