Sharing Photography

Okay, so I ran across the Art Posting thread, which made me really excited. I love art, learning techniques, and just enjoying other people's masterpieces. Then I thought, what else do I really love doing besides reading, art, and video games? Photography!

And that is why this thread now exists. I love photography almost more than art. and the Art Sharing thread inspired this, so thank you. I want this thread to be a place where people can share their photographs they have taken. A place to share the stories behind the pictures. A place, really, where your photography can be enjoyed by others, and where story inspirations can sprout.

So what do you say? Wish to join in the fun of photography? Even if you don't take pictures, you are more than welcome to come join in with comments and stories. I'll share some of my own photos once this thread is up.

@Lap R. Again, thank you for creating the Art Posting thread. I hope it is fine with you to have this thread, being that it was sort of your idea, but with art.

This is pretty bad, but...

S.E, I love it! Do not ever say your pictures are bad. You did an amazing job freezing the motion of the waves, making it look like rolls of plastic being stretched and created. Amazing work!

Wow, you're all so good! I'm not much of a photographer now, but I used to be taking photos everywhere. Here's one of mine. I took it in Saint Martin at a butterfly farm.

Clouded Leopard, I love that photo! Close ups are something I do a lot as well, so it is something I easily relate to. I love that you were able to capture the smallest detail of the butterfly, such as its wings and antennas, and the veins of the plant. Also, you had a great aperture, helping blur out the background. Great work! And if you still have an interest in photography, keep on taking pictures. You have a natural talent and skilled eye for catching beauty.

Ooh, I like the new additions! These all look like they could be in a magazine! And to S.E., your photo isn't bad at all! It's just the opposite! :)

Here is a picture I took the same day as the first picture I shared. Also, I love everyone's pictures! Each and everyone of them is stunning, and I hope you guys continue to share more.

The picture isn't showing, Ashlee. Try again.

Okay, so the photo never uploaded, so I'll try again. If it still won't work, I will find some other photo to try.

Thanks you guys for commenting on my photo!

Here's another one:

I took this picture at a family reunion about a year ago, I was playing a game and I had my camera on me when I just turned around and saw this beautiful sunset.

The rock formation was really pretty too.

Wow, that looks amazing, Joan! I love the sunset as well, the light colors on the shadowed bushes. And the rocks are really cool to look at, like ruined buildings.
