- You have until the due date and time (central time) to submit answers to the current challenge.
- One answer per partnership may be submitted.
- At least one correct answer by the due date is necessary for the entire group to receive the challenge's clue.
- You may interact with the enviornment in any way you like. You may also speak to as many people in the environment as you want. Chat, ask them questions, etc. Once you post your end of the conversation, I'll submit their responses to you.
- If a partnership is eliminated, any answer they submit will not be considered.
Good luck.

When I first read the clues, I thought of a hippopotamus for some reason. :P
Anyhow, I found it interesting that 'elephant seals' popped into your head instead of the more common 'sea lion,' so I have a slight feeling it might be a sea lion (overthinking things, whoop whoop), and then I read Ruby M.'s comment...
Domain: Eukaryota
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Carnivora
But for some reason, I couldn't find any seals/sea lions that actually give brith to 3 pups or have bad eyesight... so the closet thing I could get was a Galapagos sea lion.
Buuuuuhht family Ursidae seems to match it better, and they are close the pinniped clade...
Whatever I'll just go with family: Ursidae and genus/species: Ursus maritamus. Polar bear.
This is wrong but feel like overthinking stuff tonight.

If I'm allowed to make another guess after the hint, I'm pretty sure it's still a pinniped. Having Phocidae (seals) ruled out, that means it could be Odobenidae (walrus) or Otariidae (sea lions). I'm going to guess Otariidae both because there are more genera (genus-es), so more probable. Plus, walruses have vibrissae which would provide them another sense? (Cho, please correct if you find anything wrong...)
Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, and Family
Answer: Eukarya, Animalia, Chordata, Mammalia, Carnivora, Otariidae

Not to hack the contest, but another team guessing Odobenidae (walruses) would hedge our collective bets to make sure that, if the answer is anywhere in the pinniped group/clade, someone will get it right. Of course, it could not be a pinniped...

Sorry, I'm extremely busy right now and running on no sleep. I'll be able to attend... perhaps next Friday?
