ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

Awww, I love The Fox and The Hound. I'm pretty sure I cried at least three times watching it, too. Good luck on finals!

Thanks for the compliments! I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you mean by the half-circle method, but I'd love to see a diagram because I'm still struggling with them.

Thanks for your compliments! Your essay is very well-written, for a spontaneous attempt. (I'm sory but I get really awkward in these kinds of situations.. Glaux help me XD)

Hallia says oddk. Yes, I am odd, and yes, that's okay.

Urk! I just finished a drawing I SO want to share- but I can't, because I don't have the camera-to-laptop connector. Fingers crossed I'll find it!

Ahh... the essence of art. Beautiful, relaxing, and very stressful if you can't get a detail right. (much experience on that! XD!) maybe I will post...

Here goes. New sketch book, first page. It's in oil pastels. It might have looked better in pencil. What do you think?

I really like this style. It's kind of relaxing, but still manages to use a lot of vivid and expressive colors. Nice!

I was going to enter this in a competition in Cricket for the 'what scene would you like to see looking through a magic bottle?' But we were on vacation and I just colored it. The blue thingy in the bottom left corner is a telescope.

I think the oil pastels are great, UNSUSPCTINGSTRYLLER! (did I spell your name right?) Geez, I haven't done anything with pastels in like, two years. Your scene is cool, too! I was going to enter as well, but forgot to renew my subscription and didn't get the issue. *grins sheepishly* My favorite part is the ghost.

FYI, the current contest is posted by the first of the month at cricketmagkids.com/contests.

Nice pictures, UNSUSPECTINGSTRYTLLR!  I think the second one is my favorite! It looks very lively!

I haven't done any shading in forever, so here's something I drew using a picture out of my science book as a reference.

Ohhh, that's lovely Bluebird! I really like those hands protecting the little plant. UNSUSPCTNGSTRYTLLR, I really like your art, espesially the 'Magic Bottle' one! It's so imaginative!

Here's Counter, my new AE! (I get a tad bit obsessed with drawing new charries, as you all may have previously noted! I also drew some little figure drawings, one where he's playing basketball, and one where he's eating the muffins from Mandy! But the camera ran out of batteries before I could take a good picture of those two.

This one's a little bit blurry, I might take a better picture if I can borrow an iPhone.

I love the shading on this, Cockleburr! I'm a little obsessed with drawing my charries, too.

Nice, Cockleburr! Believe me, I love drawing new OCs too. I drew... hm... *counts back from a marker picture of Jade, then Four-Eye-Hammer-Lady, and a bunch of other spontaneously invented characters* I especially love the way you shaded here! :3
