ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

@SeaWolfWhite, that's really awesome! I love your art style.

@SandCat WHOA THAT'S GOOD. I really love the lineweight and the colors!

@AutumnArtist That's a really cool picture! I saw faces when I first looked at it XD, but I'm guessing it's fire. It's really pretty!

Okay, it's a day late, but here's part two of this week's Sunday Cyborgs. (Also I just realized this is Volume 4 of Sunday Cyborgs, not Volume 5 XD)

@coyotedomino

I have Fire Alpaca now! It's very fun. Layers are so helpful, but also confusing!

@Agent Winter

I wanted to write something about Photoshop but I can't explain?? Basically, I'm able to use Photoshop, it's just not installed yet. So, it DOES cost money, but not for me... I can't write xD

So, anyway, here's a FireAlpaca art

@Aqua, Woah thats really good! Layers can be a little confusing.  The app I use for drawing also has them.

When I was in second grade, erm, I mean, when I was an apprentice, I used to copy pictures out of my sister's Pokemon book. I have a notebook full of the drawings. First I'd do a bad version of the Pokemon, then draw them in a better, more realistic way. No, I never traced. Here's a few. I hope the pictures go through.

I actually drew some sort of proportionate people, I'm proud of it! And I was practicing drawing hands and feet, too.

Those are really good! How do you get the arms and legs to actually have, you know, shape? Mine always end up looking like rectangles :)

Thanks! I used a reference to draw these and kind of just copied what I saw but generally you want to add way more curve to people's figures than you think you need to, because if you look at a person's arm or leg, it's not straight lines, it's curves. If someone's standing up straight, their thighs would be wider at the top and even curve outward a bit, starting at the hips (especially if it's a girl), and then they'd taper inward to the knees so that it's a lot narrower, and then they'd curve outward again because of the calf muscles. And arms are kind of straight from the shoulder to the elbow, and then they get a lot wider at the elbow, and then narrower at the wrist again. That's kind of how it works. And it's really helpful to look at pictures of people or drawings and see how they do the arms and legs and stuff.

I was sick this week, so I didn't have time to make any drawings for Sunday Cyborgs :(

But here's something, it's my character from an old RP (General Waffleson's Apocalypse RP, which sparked a big conflict... oof), who I felt like drawing bc she has a cool design.

Wow! How long hve you been doing Sunday Cyborgs, AW?

Alex, is that a penguin? Nice!

Alizarine, that looks amazing! And also possibly toxic. Yeah, that's the parenthetical part of me.

Aqua that's beautiful! I love the shading on her eyes, it makes them look watery.

Eclipes, I've never seen something like that before! Very cool.

Nice job, Leafy. I really should be practicing proportions more too.

Clovertoe, here are the steps for dowloading picture for a comment:

1. Click "Choose File"

2. Select a picture that you have saved on your device and click "Open"

3. Click "Upload" (you don't have to input the captcha)

The picture, at this point, will be represented by a big blank box, so don't worry if you can't see it.

4. Type in the "Title" box whatever you want to be seen on mouseovers. (optional)

5. Input the captcha

6. Submit

I've done these steps as well, so you should see my picture show up.
