(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)
Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Hey, remember that drawing of Stardust I posted a few days ago? Well, guess what I’m unreasonably excited about.
I was so happy with this I started looking for flaws even harder, and I think the head’s too big, I went overboard on the crinkles in the hair and now it isn’t styled right/is unpleasantly inconsistent, the eyes are too small, the eyebrows might not fit the style of the rest of the piece, the hand under the chin would be pushing really uncomfortably into her neck, the constellations are probably inaccurate, the lips are a bit strange in relation to the nose, the highlights in the eyes are off, the eyelashes on one eye have a different texture than on the other, and the general anatomy of the hands is abhorrent. And despite all that I’m still stupidly happy with it. The dreamy expression, the graceful lines (even if they’re placed wrong), the lower hand (somehow), the cloak’s clasp (which I redesigned, and gave me some trouble), the hair (which varies/balances the values and texture), and most of all the star freckles. They’re just so gosh darn pretty. I planned to add the lines between them with colored pencil, but now I love it so much as an ink I’m not sure I want to color it. I actually scanned this instead of taking a photo and editing it like usual. Aah. And everything was so fun! I looked up references for all the constellations, even made little maps to remind myself what had gone where, and I loved mapping them around all the curves everywhere. Also, Ursa Major is upside-down and slightly split up on her lower hand, which was super cool to do. And I had fun just doing it. I simply loved putting ink and pencil down. It’s great.
