Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

I use a Canson XL Mix Media sketchbook. You can find one online or at a lot of craft stores, too. I would definitely recommend it-- the Mix Media kind has textured, thick pages, great for watercoloring, and nothing really bleeds through but thick sharpie. There are lots of different sizes of book and paper weights within this brand and it's not super expensive either. It's spiral bound, too, with a hard cardboard cover. It's pretty durable as well-- my old sketchbook literally fell apart but this one's perfect, and it has pages that you can evenly tear out along a line if that's your thing. (And if it's not, it's not like you can accidentally pull a page out-- you'd have to purposefully want to take one out to get it out.) Overall, I'd highly recommend it!

Whoa. That's amazing. The face has so much emotion and detail. Your attention to shadows is incredible! It's the perfect blend of melancholy and mystery.

Hey Lap R. Your posts sorta look like manga! If you’re interested how to learn how to draw it, there’s a book called Mastering Manga. And that’s how I learned to draw it!

Today I woke up to my cat, stomping on all my drawings like a mini t-rex or something. I would highly recommned getting a sketchbook, and not using my leaf paper strategy. I saved my papers right after this picture.
