ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

Whoa, those are really good. I love that style, and the anatomy is great. And, ah, the coloring! The coloring is amazing!

I made this with my finger...It’s pretty bad but I find it funny. Anyone else like Hamilton?

That's pretty good for a finger drawing! I really like the cartoonish style.

I used to constantly play through Hamilton (while frantically trying to mute every cuss word in time) outside of headphones in our house, and my mom actually banned me playing the Stay Alive reprise and It's Quiet Uptown aloud.

I was looking through my Grandma’s drawing people book and was inspired to draw this! :)

Oh my goodness, Tux, that is incredible. I love the hair and the way you did the inking, it’s so pretty! Your art never fails to amaze and inspire me.

Hello! I'm a novice artist that would like some advice.

I just got an...art...doll...dummy...thing? I'm not sure what to call it, but it's a small, wooden doll that you pose then reference from when drawing (if anyone is confused as to what this is, I can post a picture). Before I begin using it, I was wondering if anyone had any tips as to using them and referencing from them?

Thanks!

A mannequin? Sorry, I don't have any advice, but that's what I think those are called.

The one I have isn't as articulated and flexible as a human body, so I mostly use it for reference on how simpler poses look from different angles.  You can also use it as a reference for lighting (or just a decoration to make your room look artsy, which is what mine is doing right now because I mostly find photos for reference on the internet).

WHOA. That’s incredible. It looks professional! Aaa, I love Prismacolors, too, though I’m not nearly as good at using them as you are! I got the 72 set for Christmas, and all those colors all lined up are so satisfying ahhh...XD

Also, I got some brush pens, which are super cool and I love them, but I’ve never really used them before and don’t really know what I’m doing. xD Since you used them in your drawing on the last page, I was wondering if you had any tips on drawing with them?

Thanks so much! Brush pen tips- i guess just don't be hesitant to move your paper around to get the best angle that is comfortable for your hand, and don't be too scared to get really thin and thick lines. And for tiny details like eyelashes on my drawing, I used another regular inking pen instead of a brush pen, so you don't have to use them for the whole piece.
