This person might consider themselves to be an ordinary person, but today the life they have always lived might take a turn for the extraordinary. On May 15, a day like any other, this person picks up the mail. There are the usual ads, a letter from a family member, and- what's this? A letter addressed to the person but with no return address? Curious, this person thinks. Tearing open the envelope, the person reads the letter.
Dear Reader,
If you have received this letter, you have been invited to the greatest ski lodge party ever to occur. We would be very pleased if you would attend. We shall begin on July 15, giving you two months to RSVP. We shall be very sad if you cannot attend. Come, come! Join in our celebration. We have but a few rules:
- In the past, a couple of murderers have seemed to sneak into the lodge and murdered everyone. If you're a murderer, stay away, unless your name is Melody, Red, or BHR.
- It's all fun and games here. No matter what happens, everything shall be silly and fun.
- If you have no idea what I'm going on about, you can read the rules to any of the past ski lodge adventures (the top comment on Pudding's Place should be one). If you do, ignore this and keep reading.
- A new day is usually posted in the morning by me. Every day, a new installment in the story occurs.
- You're very welcome to write your point of view of the day (why most people don't is a mystery to me!) but please wait for me to put the day up first.
- Logic sometimes gets tossed out the window. Nobody needs that stuff!
- I do not pick who lives and dies- my immortal companion, the Sugarbowl, carries your names and I randomly draw them out.
- If you ask me to put a really long, narcissistic, name into the Sugarbowl (*cough cough Melody cough cough*)- Excuse me, I seem to have come down with a bit of a cold. As I was saying- if you do ask me to put such a long name in, I will ignore you and probably tease you about it for the rest of your life. Don't think I won't.
- I tend to make fun of people a lot (*cough cough Melody cough cough*). My goodness, that really is a very persistent cold! Please don't take it personally. Also, I am sure I will mess up someone's gender. Don't take that personally either. I botch personalities and tend to make a general mess of things. Moral of the story: Don't take anything here personally. If I mess with you, it means I like you.
- What a hypocrite- "but a few rules", my foot.
- I always feel like this section is hard to write. Eh, if you don't get things, read another rule page, or ask me questions.

*sticks up hand and waves it in the air frantically* Ooh! Ooh! I've seen one of these before, I think, but I was much too late to join in. *looks around* Oh, no one can see me, can they? *lowers hand sheepishly* Anyways, I can't wait for this to start! Is this like a RP? In which case, is there some sort of character form or something? If these are silly questions or there are answers to them, please tell me so immediately and ease my curiosity!
Cappie says neon! Yes, neon lights everywhere to celebrate that Cappie has learned to spell!
P.S. One last thing, is this mysterious sugarbowl the very same that the V.F.D. are looking for? Just a thought....

I wouldn't really say this is an RP. Hmm, how would you describe this? I've been doing ski lodges since before I came here and I think it's kind of a... stick-around-and-see-what-happens more than a Role-Play. Once it gets started, you should be able to get into the groove of it pretty quickly. You can write your POV of every day after I post the day's episode, or you can simply read, enjoy, and make "helpful" comments. Speculate who the murderer is! I bet you'll find them out right away.
You play as yourself, so no need for a character form. I either know who you are or simply make up your personality.
The Sugarbowl of DOOM (commonly just called the Sugarbowl) has existed for much longer than the V.F.D., so I don't think they were looking for it. It might have been playing a cameo there, but I'm not sure.

Hey, look, responding to something from two months ago.
Sorry, I got confused. There was a group on the CB that hunted for a Sugarbowl (long after the establishment of mine), and that's what I thought you were referring to. Only now did I remember that V.F.D. is from Series of Unfortunate Events. Is it the one they're looking for? Who knows...

It's pretty much the same story line, but I've gotten a lot better at writing and added some new features which I hope you'll enjoy. I assume the deaths are going to get even crazier- I've broken out a new list of ideas.
The Omnipotent Narrator is too long to fit in the name box, so I just shortened it into an acronym.

Sorry I did an awful job up there, but I like making up new methods of starting the game to interest "repeat customers". This is the ski lodge murder mystery. You join, and in a couple of months, the game begins. One of your number is a murderer and they begin to bump off someone every day. It's your job to figure out who the murderer is. A new day will be put up every morning and you'll see who died and a miscellanous collection of other silly tidbits.
I like to make each new lodge exciting and fresh, but I like to put in jokes from past murder mysteries as an extra bonus for people who have played before. If there's stuff you don't get, don't worry about it, you'll pick up things quickly. Warning: This story is weird. For the first 3 or 4 days, you'll probably have no idea what's going on, but you'll pick it up quickly and hopefully enjoy it. You can read past ski lodges to get an idea, if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it for spoiler reasons.

That sounds awesome! I don't know how much time I'll actually be on the CB during summer vacation, but I'll try to be as active as I can.
Also "I don't know how much time I'll actually be on the CB" is not a proper sentence but who gives a snowman?
