Upcoming releases in

Upcoming releases in Fall/Winter to break up the dread of end-of-summer that looms like a specter before my eyes:

August 7 (Okay, I know this is tomorrow, but anyway: Percy Jackson--The Sea of Monsters. Even though these movies aren't as true to the books as they could be, they're fun anyway.

August 30: The One Direction 3D movie. As I am a faithful Directioner, I cannot wait for this to be out.

October 8: The Heroes of Olympus, Book 4--The House of Hades. Even though I'm not as fond of HoO as I was of PJO (feeling like it's a bit like cold soup warmed over) I like to read anything by RR. Can't wait for his Norse series to be out (although if it's anything like that Loki's Wolves I ranted about, I don't know...)

November 8: Thor--The Dark World. Finally. I have no idea why it takes three years to bring out these sequels, since it took three years to release the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, but I don't mind, since I only had to wait about five months. Now, however, I need to wait two years for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Darn.

December 20: The Hobbit--The Desolation of Smaug. As this bit is my favorite part of the book, I look forward to this chapter with perhaps more relish then I looked forward to Unexpected Journey.

Also, the 3rd One Direction album is coming out soon (date presently unknown) which I am very excited about, since I have listened to their first two albums so many times, I want something new.

What are y'all looking forward to this fall/winter?

(Note: This is the third attempt to write this, without various people peering over my shoulder. If there needs to be a fourth version, I shall move to the mountains and become a hermit.)

@ ~Blue Fairy~

I haven't played Stay Tuned for Danger, though my mom has (we love to share the games, it's so fun!). It's actually really hard, because it's the first and the software isn't as advanced. Plus, all the clues are RIDICULOUSLY hard to find!

I loved Captive Curse too! In fact, when we first got it, my mom and I were up till one in the morning playing it. Well, it was storming, and the wind was blowing really hard. We were at one of the scariest and most intense moments in the game, when the wind shot down the chimney and blew the chimney damper crashing into the fire place! I swear, we both jumped straight out of our seats, over the couch, and raced down the hall to bed! We haven't played a game that late since, and especially not when it's storming! We still laugh over that. I can't wait to play Blackmoor Manor! It looks like fun.

@BHR Stay Tuned for Danger isn't the first game, Secerts Can Kill is. And Stay Tuned for Danger can't be as hard as Curse of Blackmoor Manor ((spoiler) moving doors and others!) and White Wolf of Icicle Creek (STUPID FOX AND GEESE!!!!!). Ghost of Thorthan Hall was very fun, but scary!

@Septimus Heap: They're working on a rewrite of the script. It's on the way, it's on the way...

October 12 -- Pokemon X and Y

Judging by the 'sneak peeks' that have been released so far, the new games are going to be a disaster, but I'm going to get them anyway.

Isn't there supposed to be a sequel to Thor? Ugh... my friend and I were talking about it. Doubting anyone would watch it, and not doubting it would get a generous helping of Razzie awards.. :D

@ Blackberry E.:

Yes, my friend, there is going to be a sequel to Thor and I will watch it, excuse me. I happen to like it very much for the following reasons: it is more or less based on mythology (which is neat), Thor is a very reassuring and realistic hero, Loki is a very well acted and convincing villain, and I think the whole premise is quite neat.

Fangirling over.

@Everinne: Let's agree to disagree. Thor looks and acts like Anakin.in other words, a girl. He's all about "friendship" and "loyalty" and "kindness" I find that annoying, especially when it gets in the way of being an Avenger, cause he thinks he can save everyone. As Count Dooku told Qui-Gon when Qui-Gon was his Padawan in words to this affect: "The galaxy is huge. You just can't save everyone."

@ Blackberry E.:

All right, I'll agree to disagree about Thor as a hero. But you didn't say there's anything wrong with Loki. As far as I can tell...there is nothing to complain about with him, either as an actor or character.

@Everinne: Sure, Loki's all right. He's a bad guy... what's not to like? Just apart from the fact that cool bad guys are gothic and really big deal evil. Like Von Strucker. I just think Lok's not as professional as he could be.

@ Blackberry E.:

All right, I don't want to start a war here, so after this post, I shall retire from this argument with grace.

From how I see it, Loki is only "evil" because he is more or less a victim of circumstance. He was always in Thor's shadow and not even Odin's son, but the child of the "enemy" so he can't be very happy about that. That's why he rebels, if you will. He isn't really a "villain," not the real villain, that is. Like how Luke is only Cronus's puppet in Percy Jackson, and Loki is (in the Avengers at least) acting at the bidding of someone else. So he can't be measured against other villains on quite the same barometer. And what do you mean by "Gothic?" He has dark hair and that pale complexion thing going on; he seems Gothic enough to me.

Wait a second.....

HOUSE OF HADES comes out on the same day as WILL IN SCARLET! Inconcievable!

Not trying to sound angry but...,

MATTHEW CODY ANNOUNCED HIS EXACT DATE FIRST! IT WAS STILL JUST 'FALL' FOR HOUSE OF HADES WHEN I KNEW WILL IN SCARLET WAS ON OCTOBER EIGHTH! WHICH I SPELLED EIGHTH WRONG I BELIEVE!!!

Okay, I'm done. I just noticed that. What a coinencedence. Does this mean no one will notice WILL IN SCARLET because of HOUSE OF HADES!? I'm going to read both, but WILL IN SCARLET preferably first. You know what? I'll be okay. As long as I can read WILL IN SCARLET. I just noticed October Eighth...............
