Monsters University
Hey, everybody! So, let's get talking about Monsters University, the upcoming prequel to the Pixar classic, Monsters, Incorporated! The new film follows Mike and Sulley's college years and their journey to become scarers. Problem is, they don't get along. When they get kicked out from the University for that reason, they team up with other scare rejects: some of the least scariest monsters ever known!
The trailers are now on YouTube. We can use this thread to discuss our expectations for the movie, and when it comes out, we can use this thread to review the movie after we've seen it!
I was watching the trailer when it broadcasted on Disney Channel, and I danced to the music and said the dialogue along with the onscreen monsters! Twice!

Is something wrong or are you quoting a line from the original Monsters that I don't remember? GOOP!
(March 30, 2013 - 5:10 pm)
I'm just not a movie person. Especially if they're not from a book ahead of time.

The first movie is one of my favorite movies ever so I'm really excited to see how this will turn out.

Did anyone see the new trailer? There's a young Mike Wazowski in it.

Yes, the thread is Gooped back up! I'm seeing the movie this Thursday. Anyone else seen it yet? Post your reviews!

Keep it at the top!

I haven't seen it, but I love how the website is so much like a real university's.
(June 22, 2013 - 2:05 pm)
Oh, yeah. Two websites. One where they have all the stuff that mimics a real university site. The other one goes as a section on Disney's site, and it has a bunch of games and stuff. Unfortunately, I must warn you we cannot show off the IDs for the monsters we create for reasons I personally believe are invalid and bogus. But my (very valid and not bogus) argument does no good, so we have to live with it.

P.S. Doctor Seaweed Stink might be able to show his.

I really, really want to see it, but I don't think I'll be able to in theaters.

I saw it and it was good and all that jazz. Except they took this song "Gospel" from the band Marching Forth, but they cut out part of it. It was still really cool, and I liked how they used the song. Has anyone heard it before?
(June 23, 2013 - 7:20 pm)
Umm... no. I'm listening to it now over YouTube, though. Hm, it does really fit the movie, stays with the "Bum bum ba dum dum" themes of the original.
Was Art an awesome character?
