Gryphon Encounters
I am compiling an account of our interrogations of the Gryphon to pass on one day to my successor. I am also collecting detailed descriptions of previous sightings of Gryphon activities--or those that it will admit to. I'm starting with a story of what happened to one of our allies as he questioned the Gryphon. I'm sorry, I didn't catch our ally's name, and he fainted before I got the whole story. But if you think you know what happened next, add your ideas in the comments and help me complete the story. Hopefully together we can learn more about what the Gryphon does and what goes through its head.
Partial Account of a Gryphon Encounter: "Our ally moved slowly as he entered the cave area cautiously, trying to be brave. But I could tell he was terrified just beneath the surface. He held the cypher in his hands, knowing this was the only way to communicate with the beast. He'd only used it a few times, so he fumbled around at first, sliding his fingers on the different buttons, trying to come up with the perfect first question. Should he ask something easy, like where it came from? Or should he ask the question he most wanted to ask--the question with the answer that terrified him most? He took a deep breath. Then breathed out. He looked the creature straight in the eye. And said...

I seek out this person Icy mentioned. Eliyana Fur I think. For some reason I think she might be easier to find then Capsene. Looking around to see that no one is looking I morph into a owl. Silently, I fly seeking any signs of movement from the forest. I spot a tree rustling just below me. Swooping down gracefuly, Try to see if this is the right person. It is! I come in for a landing bu the girl spots me first. My eyes widen as she takes our a bow and arrow, and aims it at me!
I narrowly dogde the arrow and zoom faster to the ground. As she shoots another arrow, I lose my ballance. I'm falling! I think, panicing. Falling. I hit the ground and before I relize it I have morphed back into a girl. I gasp for for breath. Hearing the rustle of the branches I curl up in a ball. "Please don't hurt me." I say in a frightened whisper as Eliyana comes into view.

Sorry, I forgot that Eliyana is an artic fox or something
(April 21, 2016 - 12:03 pm)
:p I'm actually an Artic Fox.
I pull back my bow, specially adapted for my paws. I bare my teeth, like a wolf. "Who are you, human?" I growl. "Please don't hurt me." She whispers. "Very well. Now, why are you here?" I say, baring my teeth. My hatred for humans pulses in my blood. "I-someone said I should come here for help-to find Storm Windwhisperer." The girl says quickly. "I don't give information to humans." I growl. "I'm an owl that can turn into a human-see!" She says quickly, then morphs. "Hmph. In that case..." I consider my options for a few seconds. "I can help you find him..." I say gruffly. I put away the bow.
She quickly flies to a branch above me. "He's at the base of Capto Obelere." I say. "He's been there for a while-so is a human girl. A dreadful one. Her name's Icy. Steer clear of her." Then I hand her a map. She takes it delicately in her claws then soars off.

The sky is shattered by lightning, and thunder pounds through the screaming rain. But I don't hear any of it. All I hear is a faint buzzing and my heart throbbing in my chest. I should've gone back. I should have saved her. I should have brought her with me. I know I can't do anything but breathe and think. I don't want to think. I want to fly away from this. But I can't. I know the wind saved me. But why couldn't he save the others? Why couldn't he save her? I crouch down between the rocks and try my best to sleep. And to forget.
The next morning the sky is smeared with smoke. I should go out and look for survivors. My wing drags stubbornly behind me. The edges of my feathers are nothing but soot. My eyes scan the barren landscape before me. It would be a miracle to find someone or something out here. My eyes fill with tears. "Shhhhhhhhh" the wind tugs at my shoulder with the threads of air that encircle me. I stand firm. "Whhhat are you doing?" His words float for a moment before they are carried away by a passing breeze. I know it isn't his fault but I have no one else to blame. "Coome" says the wind; this time his words hang in the air. Everything is still, silent, hopeful. "Why should I?" My words are harsh and fear fringes the edges. "I was raised in the willow fields you know that." I know he is annoyed, why shouldn't he? "I am staying and no. one. can make me leave. Not even you." My anger rolls through my head waiting to be released. "Fine." The wind's voice shows no emotion; it never has. "But if you ever do leave... I want you to take this." For a moment I can almost see the patterns and the currents of air entrailing the sky. They vanish and reappear only to whisk across the field and back again. They roll through the air catching the light in all different angles and then a vial, of the purest substance, Solidifies above me. It floats in front of me, its pearly surface dazzling and mysterious. Inside I can make out a swirling rolling..... "It's wind," my voice catches. "It will grant you thirteen wishes. The wind's voice grows fainter, and fainter. "Use it solely for good!" And then he's gone.
And I'm left with a vial of wind.

I am confused. The fox named Eliyana told me to steer clear of Icy. But why? Icy is nice. I shake my head to clear my thoughts. I have to find Storm. I have to find him to devise a plan. And I had better do it befor it was too late.

I look in the general direction of Gryphon's hideout. As it always does, it sends chills up my spine, but this time it seems stronger. With a chill, I realize that Gryphon's team is planning something. Going closer, i see that they are deep in conversation. If they spot me, they will kidnappe me. I slowly back away and run to our nest to post this chat.

"Storm!" I yell, bursting into his room through the window. I must look crazy because the people sitting on his bed give me a strange look. Oh right. I'm still a bird. But then I spot Storm. Speaking in soft hoots we communicate. "It's alright," he says. "We can trust these people." I morph into a girl. "How did you escape?" Storm askes. "We were planning a rescue mission for you." Summerizing as best as I can, I pour out the story. I end with my problem, getting into the B.I.G. to uncurse the animals. "I might have a solution," a girl on his bed says. I instantly reconize her as Trill. "I still am spying there you know." I sit down to listen to her plan.

omg! Icy and friends I've just had the greatest idea about the Powerfriend! So, how about Icy was a direct descendent of Catastrophe. And you know how some of the power of the Powers couldn't fit in the instrument, and went looking for other body sources? One of her direct descendants could have interpreted all six powers, a very strong version of them. So that's why Icy and sister glows when they touch a Power, and that's why the Powers don't hate her. They can't see past the reminder of themselves, therefore ignoring the fact that she is human. Tell me if you like; I kind of came up with this idea to put together all the Powerfriend stories Icy and friends are saying.

I like! Just a little hitch which I won't tell.
(April 24, 2016 - 1:55 pm)
That's a brilliant idea!
I also have a bit to add on. I want to downplay a bit of supreme power :P
The ages went on, and with each new person with the powers in their blood born, the power inside of them faded. It grew weak from having one normal parent...through all those years. Each person's magic was weaker than the lasts. But the magic never died. If it began to, it would sprout up with more magic.
Which explains why Icy & Anwen's powers are weaker. Like glowing and having a good rep with the power creatures. I think that there might be a minor power put into it.... we'll have to see how it turns out!

I scramble out of the forest and into a clearing with a cave in it. After the encounter with Kasumi, I tried to get to Bog & Burrow Inn, but it was closed. So here I am. FAFA contacted me and said that I had to interogate a Gryphon. I sigh and walk to the cave in the clearing. The gaurd animals block my path, but I just say; "I was told to interogate a Gryphon." And they let me pass. One of them snickers and whispers something to another gaurd. All I catch is something about a test and a new recruit. I immediantly get suspicious, but I still walk into the cave. it's barren inside, exept for a iron cage in the center. In the iron cage was a Gryphon. It was majestic and fierce and everything but so much more than what my dad had told-I stop that train of thought before I think about dad.
He's gone now, so stop thinking about him-him and the others. Not until I get my revenge.
I sternly tell myself. I warily walk towards the cage. I stare into the Gryphon's eyes and ask; "Why was I sent here? And why are you locked up?" He opened his beak and said, in an ancient and deep voice: "You are here to be tested.... they do it with all the new recruits... to see if they're clever and strong.... and you have more important questions than that. I can see it." I sit down near the cage and ask another question: "Do you know anything about the Powers?" I'm not ready to ask the Gryphon about who killed my dad.. I don't trust it. The Gryphon eyed me and closed his eyes. "I know of Claaws.... but of the others I know nothing... Viridis may be able to tell you more." I cock my head. "Who's Viridis?" "An ancient Earth Dragon. I will show you where he is-" The Gryphon leaned towards me and touched my forehead with his beak. Suddenly I see a forest, a small green-gray Earth Dragon flying, and then it was gone. I stood up, walked out of the cave, and started to run for the place.

My name is Bitty "Bit" quirrel. I work alone and spy on B.I.G. I had been looking into a lab, and someone saw me. I bolted for the woods, but I saw in the corner of my eye a beast that looked like a gryphon. I ran faster, and once I was in a tree, looked back, but saw nothing.

Shouldn't all this be posted in Kasumi's "The Animal's Side" RP thread?

I woke to silence. Griffins never wake to silence. I looked around from the rock I was hiding by, and I saw nothing. Not even my father, who was sleeping also. Where did he go? I thought. I didn't know where he was, and I was scared. I looked around, and something strange caught my eye. Faded, but small human footprints in which I do not know how it could have appeared. I had a sense of danger building up inside of me, so I warmed up my bones, scrunched my muscles, and took off into the cold, brisk, night.
I let the wind blow over my face to wash away my clouded thoughts, to wash away my fear. He couldn't be gone. Not like mother, not like sister.
I still remember the warining letter we recieved from, who was it...? Ah, yes! Cyl T. That creature, unable to see what it fully was, came in the dark of night, telling my father and I about what happened to my mother and sister. My mother was taken prisoner by a coorporation called B.I.G. I did not quite understand everything, but I also found out that my sister was taken prisoner by large owls, owls that have not been seen, owls that do not I want to be seen.
I shuddered thinking about the past. What had happened on that night? What had happened tonight? Was my father taken prisoner by humans, just as my mother possibly was? The more I thought about it, the more hatred started to plant a seed in my heart. Who would do this? And more importantly, why?
