I am compiling an account of our interrogations of the Gryphon to pass on one day to my successor. I am also collecting detailed descriptions of previous sightings of Gryphon activities--or those that it will admit to. I'm starting with a story of what happened to one of our allies as he questioned the Gryphon. I'm sorry, I didn't catch our ally's name, and he fainted before I got the whole story. But if you think you know what happened next, add your ideas in the comments and help me complete the story. Hopefully together we can learn more about what the Gryphon does and what goes through its head.
Partial Account of a Gryphon Encounter: "Our ally moved slowly as he entered the cave area cautiously, trying to be brave. But I could tell he was terrified just beneath the surface. He held the cypher in his hands, knowing this was the only way to communicate with the beast. He'd only used it a few times, so he fumbled around at first, sliding his fingers on the different buttons, trying to come up with the perfect first question. Should he ask something easy, like where it came from? Or should he ask the question he most wanted to ask--the question with the answer that terrified him most? He took a deep breath. Then breathed out. He looked the creature straight in the eye. And said...

I know a little bit about gryphons: they don't like to be disrespected, so bow to it and keep eye contact. Don't blink. If he bows back you can talk to him but if he doesn't you will have to go with plan b.

I watched from between the trees, staring at the Griffin/Gryphon. I had never taught it any way to communicate with me..but maybe it would listen? My comrades at Captn'O would never aprove. The FAFA...well I didn't know that much about them.
I had been freed from the B.I.G by Moonshadow and StormWindwhisperer (Thread The Wind Wails in archives) and I saw that their ally had talked to it. None of the animals should know. I watched the animals guarding the cave. They were bored, and looking away, so I climbed above the cave and dropped down into it noiselessly. I scrambled into the cave and stared at the Griffin, behind the bars. I began to speak in a calm voice.
"Hello...Don't be afraid. My name is Icicle Soul...I'm a human girl," I was saying. The Griffin/Gryphon snorted. "Shh, I'm not going to hurt you, and if I ask you something uncomfortable, then you don't have to answer," I said. My mind was racing. Did the Griffin/Gryphon understand english? Suddenly it looked at me and began to speak. "Eyes..." It said. I nodded. "Go on." The Gryphon spoke slowly in human, with an ancient-sounding voice. "Eyes are like your mother's," he said. My eyes open wide. "You knew my mother!?" I ask, forgetting to be quiet. "Yes. Your mother was friend, kind human," it said. "Father-no good," it said. My eyes open wide. "C-can-" I began. Then the Gryphon interrupted.
"Your mother was kind woman. Like human, but touched inside by power. She was friend to power creature like me. I knew her. Her honorary name was PowerFriend. You have it too," the Gryphon said. I listened. Could this be true? "One day she came even less. Powers were upset, I mourned. I asked her why. She said that she was in love with other human. That was the last....time I saw her. Ellie was a good woman. But one day I sensed that she had died. December 1," I gasped. "That's my birthday!" I knew my birthday because I was found with a tiny paper saying it attached to my dress. The Gryphon nodded. "You new PowerFriend." I was flustered. "But-is it true-really-truely?" I asked. "I can prove," the Gryphon said.
He put his claw through the bars and touched it to my forehead. The room was suddenly bathed in blue light. I looked at a puddle on the floor and saw that I was glowing. I fainted (Much like your ally!) and laid there on the floor untill an animal found me. (You can post YOUR story of discovering human footprints in the Gryphon's cave/prison later.)

Once again, I feel akward for writing so many comments. I just have so much to say! This is another peice of my story. :)
I leap from tree to tree, then once I'm at the closest one to the cave, I peer down. No animal guards..? Strange. I spider down the tree and run towards the cave and enter it. I see my footprints from earlier, and then-It's gone! "No!" I scream. Suddenly I realise that theres animals staring at the cage. One turns around to look at me. "...It's a blow." A red hen says. "It just...dissapeared." The hen is saying. "Scarlet." I say. I know her from Capn'O. (Sorry for charecter stealing, AGAIN please let me know if you're hurt. I promise I won't use anyone elses charecters for a LONG TIME!)
Scarlet sighs, in a chicken-like manner. "None of us saw this coming. He's just...gone." Scarlet says. I have an empty feeling in my chest. "No damage to the cage..." Scarlet said softly. "Don't blame yourself. You only were on guard a few times.. None of us were when it happened." The words meant to reassure me makes me feel cold inside.
I touch the locket at my neck for reassurance and realize that it isn't rusted, It's shining. Did this happen when I was..glowing blue? Probably. I gasp. A wolf turns around. It's Moonshadow. "Isn't that the locket you always wear?" He said. "I thought it was rusted shut?" I gulp. "It was."
I reach out my hand, find a catch, and swing it open. There's a symbol inside. The symbol of the Brazen Inquiry Guild. I shriek and the animals crowd around me and stare at it. "W-what?" I say. My breath is hurried. I find a little writing wrote on it. The writing reads:
I can't keep you. I was afraid you'd be like your mother. This is where I am and my heart belongs to stopping the animals who turned your mother into a freak..From her Great-great-great-great-great-great Grandmother all those years ago. I hope you join me at the B.I.G if you survive me abandoning you. I hope you'll forgive me.

The animals eyes are wide and mine are too. I begin to cry and one of the animals, Scarlet I think, hands me a leaf. I wipe my eyes and tell them how I snuck out to see the Gryphon, and my great-great-great-oh never mind Grandmother... and I'm crying as I say it but I tell them I'm sorry and I should have told them and I never expected that my father would be....would be...
"Would be?" A fox asks. "A freak!" I yell. "My mother was never... Just because of this strange magic from the PowerFriend...." I say, sobbing.
One of the animals is talking. My vision is blurred with tears and I can't tell who, but she calls me by my nickname, Icy. "Icy, listen. If you want to know about.. this PowerFriend... then you should talk to a power creature itself. I would normally never tell you to put yourself in danger, but..... there is a creature. I believe it is part of the powers. It's a dragon-thing... It's called Claaws. If you find him, you might be able to..." I sob as she speaks. "To find out more about the PowerFriends. Who knows, Claaws might teach you to use your powers..." I stop sobbing and fling my arms around the Fox, who was the animal who was talking. "T-thank you. I'll l-leave in the m-morning." I say. "Please, be safe." The fox says.

P.S: The PowerFriend powers that I inherit are intended to be the power of growth... and talking and who knows? Maybe even taming a power creature. I am intended to protect them. Although, I don't know this yet. I am a guardian...But I do not guard only one power. I will guard them all. And that is PowerFriend.

Gosh. that post was long. I'm embarassed,,,, but anyways, this is a question for the Admins. Is it O.K that once there was a PowerFriend? If you don't like the idea, I'll just make the PowerFriend be a friend to some of the Power Creatures a long time ago.
Also, I'm not going through the idea about it coming with powers and growth, although I glow when touched by a Power Creature. But who knows... maybe I come with harmony as my skill?
But anyways, can there be a PowerFriend? Like a human guardianship that was passed down through the ages, except instead of guarding a Power itself, they gaurd the Power Creatures? Admins, please let me know! I'm really sorry for not asking before I wrote that previous post/comment.

I'm a human shape-shifter who loves animals and is eager to help everyone. I never knew my family and I came to an orphanage in a basket with the tag Claire H on it. As soon as they noticed I was magical I was thrown out and raised by animals. I learned to survive the hard way, and I've learned to trust animals. I hate most humans but I have some human friends.
My main goals are to:
1. Help all animals.
2. Help put BIG in their place.
3. Find my real family.

I have my own charrie, sorry. Also, I'm focusing on making the PowerFriend less over powered. The PowerFriend now: -Only guards the CREATUREs of the powers. -Only has one power, harmony. Anyways, that's it now! -Icy

Hi Icy! I don't mind if you use my charrie! I actually like charrie controlling! It makes me feel good, like I'm in more stories than just my own, and that people actually know who I am and acknowledge my existence. Just don't make me do anything stupid :p but, as for the whole PowerFriend thing, I'm not so sure. We haven't voted on the origin stories yet, and you could put this in as an idea, but you can't just throw things into the story that haven't exactly been decided yet. Also, I'm confused about it. You can't just guard all the powers like that. We have been carefully building up this story, debating the origin of the Powers, and this kind of makes me feel like you're just barging in and taking over the story. Please try to remember, Icy, this isn't just your story. It's our story. It's for everyone. I'm very sorry if I sounded mean, rude or bossy. I tryed to be very polite about this. I think you should state your ideas in the Power Origin thread, and maybe we can work something out.

Hey Scarlet! Glad to hear. I added a comment to ask the Admins but no reply yet. Also, I'm working on making the PowerFriend thing less OP, or over powered. Instead of guarding all the powers I only guard the CREATURES of each power. I completely get that. I want to make a different charrie the hero. Spoiler Alert: soon I'm going to add a major plot change involving the Gryphon being attacked, me defending it, and the animals getting pretty mad. But I am asking the Admins about it and I really hope it goes through. UGH now I"m mad at myself for not getting a response or asking BEFORE I wrote the PowerFriend thing. SO SORRY! But hopefully they agree and hopefully I get saved from MAJOR embarrassment. (oh please Admins..) I think I wrote to them about it and I think that the creatures of the powers THEMSELVES deserve a little help. We help out the normal animals, so why not those Creatures? OF COURSE I won't make you do anything stupid, and I only use charries as side-characters. They only pop up a few times. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry..... -Icy Icy's Inner Self: you just talk and talk... They said YEESSSSSSS...... Sorry. *composes herself* I'm not going through with the PowerFriend being part of the origin anymore.... Like I said, I'm making small changes. I swore myself to guard all of the Power Creatures... actually, I will in the future. I haven't written it yet. But the editors said yes to the new PowerFriend version and actually I'm pretty excited :D

Icy, I think it's really awesome that you have a whole story going on. I am new to Kyngdom, but it seems very awesome and it is nice that we can use our imaginations. I hope to be able to get involved with some of the larger stories (if you want to know more about me, I am one of the latest additions on the "Who's Here?" thread.
