"I have to go." I say, and begin to walk off.
Lia looks shocked.
"This can't work. I am sorry." I say. "I cannot take off the Relic of Blood, and all the time we were dancing, the magic leaked into you. If I dance more, then you will be a vampire. Goodbye."

"I understand," I say. But as I watch Elliot walk off I hold back tears. I would have turned into a vampire if he had not left, I scolded myself. He did it for me. "Elliot, do you think you could stay at the dance? Just not.... Well dance." I ask.
