No jewelry? I guess it would only get in the way in a fight, but it's expected at a ball. I imagine it as very formal, a showing-off-the-best-to-no-one kind of thing. And the wings might cause trouble, given that they're enormous, distinctive, and real.

I'm slightly confused. Now there's a ball. Okay fine. But no animals or mutants...does that include SOCS students? I am very very confused. I'd like to go, though, since my charries are feeling pretty left out...

@sprocket, I could go with you to the ball as backup. Less people want to kill me than you so I could act as a bodyguard/escort.

So should I go? I could wear a long sleeved dress to hide my arm. I will try designing a dress, and I think I can do the weapon concealment.

I think you should go if you want to. I actually had an idea for your costume; you could be a steampunk queen or goddess, with the automatons
as a personal guard or attendants. The main colors would be white, gold and brown, maybe with some silver accents, and you would have really elaborate jewelry involving spikes and chains with gems on them strung between gears. It could double as
armor and/or help hide weaponry, and would extend to your mask.

okay, so shadow's going, and I think I'm gonna send Autumn too. Is that okay? I will design her dress and everything. Also, where is the ball going to be held? Who's invited? Can anyone come? Who's the host? Who came up with the idea?

I think the ball is going to be in New Cogsville or at some SOCS facility. I don't think we decided on much of this, but I know that very few people can come; only those in SOCS or one of the towns next to where the ball is being held. I don't know who the host is; presumably the head of SOCS. Mina came up with the idea for a SOCS Army masquerade ball, and enough of us liked it that it's happening.

I guess this means all of my ideas are out the window... Your costume, Poe's costume, the storyline, basically everything that I had to offer. This is going to take some rethinking.

@Tuera, you can totally go! I was just saying, like in my case, it would be obvious it is me because I am a cat.... But Alexander said that he has a de-mutantizer or something, so we'll see.
@Alexander, okay on the mutant thing, but Poe Allen isn't going to be there? Oh...that kind of makes it difficult then, and Viola had ideas too.

Oh, wait, if Autumn is going, would she be able to bring anyone else from the Resistance camp? Because then maybe Nygrune and/or Lycaella could attend... I don't know if Laeta wants to come.

Well...actually I was thinking not the steam punk theme because I am already known as a huge mechanics person and that everyone will know who I am. I was thinking of going incognito as a guest. I will post a picture of my dress later. Also, do I need to design human automatons? I think it would also be helpful to add miniature metal hummingbirds to everyone's weaponry. I know they sound wimpy, but have you ever been attacked kamikaze fowl with razor sharp beaks?

Yeah, that's a drawback... Maybe it could be for something else that you don't have to hide your identity for. I don't think you need to design human automatons, but the hummingbirds sound good.
