Aslahari
This thread is about a city in the Southern Deserts called Aslahari, which translates to be Desert Flower. It is a beautiful city with towering palaces made of rose colored glass and quartz.
The government leaders are called the Flames, and people are based on ranks. Your rank is defined by your understanding of The Ignis, or fire speak. The Flames have total control over fire and can talk to it fluently.
People can write about:
-Government
-Wars with neighboring cities
-Trade
-Nobles
Or whatever you want
Also, before people say that this would be better on an Inkwell RP, this city has things to do with Kyngdom. The people trade with people from Kyngdom, and BIG has been trying to take over Aslahari for years. Also, the desert where Aslahari is located is the origin of many of the dragon species that populate Kyngdom.
Have fun!

I groan and walk off with Icy.
"Where is it?" I sigh.
Icy looks around. "This way," she says, motioning to follow her.
We turn down a few alleys, when we hear voices coming straight for us.
Icy looks at me in shock. She mouths, What are we going to do?
The voices come closer. "Uh, umm...." I stutter. "Oh!"
I quickly think, Dog. Dog. I'm a dog.
I feel my body morph and touch the ground. Icy takes off her scarf and ties one end to my neck, holding the other. Icy does something weird with her hair, so it chanegs colors. The voices finally reach us. They are a couple of people from Catastophe's army.
"What are you doing in the streets?" one of them asks gruffly. "You're supposed to be inside."
I do what would make me seem real, and I bark. I bark more, like a loyal dog to it's master, trying to protect her. Icy goes along with it, and appears to be trying to hold me back. I stop barking.
"I-I," Icy stutters in a higher voice. "My dog," she says, looking down at me. "Was getting restless in the house, and I didn't want her wrecking things."
"What's your name, pipsqueak?" another person asks rudly.
"Anwen," she automatically replies. "And this is my dog, Leva."
A pang of sadness and anger rushes through me like a fire and then calms down.
"Anwen," the person mutters. He stands up straight and looks at her. "Haven't heard of you."
"I haven't heard of you," she replies cooly. "You're not a citizen of Aslahari. I am. Now, all I want to do is walk my dog. No trouble. So please, just let me through."
The people look at each other. The man looks at Icy. He shrugs. "Okay. But get back to your house soon."
She nods and walks briskly off. Once we are out of their sight and in another alley, she looks back and then crouches down to look at me.
"Maybe we should keep things this way," she tells me.
I nod. "That would work. Any specific dog you want me to be?"
She smiles. "Um, let's see.... could you be a wolf mix breed?"
I think about it and feel myself grow a little taller, and more muscular. "Is this good?"
She laughs lightly. "Yes."
We continue along, and we go through a few more places and alleys. We finally arrive.
"Where is it?" I ask.
"I-I don't know," Icy replies. "Let's look around."
And we begin our search.
(September 29, 2016 - 9:02 pm)
I stab at the wall of Scions, dodging when they jump at me.
Then I hear airships.
Big airships.
I turn and see the airships fly over the city, launching blasts of Æther at the Scions.
My forecfeild surges, and I run through the bugs.
Beyond lies Catastrophe's army, fighting with the Scions. All around them, the city lies in ruins. Why must my job be so much like a video game?
I grab a new sword, and lead the airships into the fray.
(September 29, 2016 - 10:26 pm)
I head back to my room and take out a frequency radio. If anybody has access to technology, they'll hear it.
I turn on the radio and start writing in morse code.
W-h-a-t i-s g-o-i-n-g o-n i-n A-s-l-a-h-a-r-i?
C-a-t-a-s-t-r-o-ph-e? O-c-t-a-v-i-a?
(September 30, 2016 - 7:13 am)
Alia~
Hiding in the restaurant, I turn on the radio just in time to hear a Morse code message.
What is going on in Ashlahari? Catastrophe? Octavia?
Both, I think, I reply quickly. I am Alia, a citizen of Ashlahari. Send backup-
I never got to finish as the Scions broke into the restaurant.
(September 30, 2016 - 7:47 pm)
The troops surge through the city, slashing at scions and burning everything in reach. I lead them, the burning fire wall behind me.
The city is in ruins, but the Mass is trying to fight it. I receive a flame message. Dispatch the fire daemons. I whistle three times quickly, then gesture in the air. A rumbling sound is heard, and the fighting stops momentarily. All heads turn towards the middle of the city where the sound is coming from.
Then ground ground erupted. Burning soldier's flew out by the masses, flying into the air with a demon like shriek. They had burning red swords, and their wings were dancing with flame. There eyes look like windows to an inferno, and obsidian black horns curled up out of their heads. They moved in one mass, hacking and slashing, burning everything in their wake. Aslahari would not fall yet.
(September 30, 2016 - 8:41 am)
Goggles.
Armor.
Swords.
Ropes.
Explosives.
Æther.
I am going in.
I run into the conflict, destroying the buglike Scions.
I run through wall after wall of them, destroying them.
Catastrophe and his army are probably fighting octavia's army.
The only difference between the to is that Octavia is turning her minions into giant Scions, and causing even more destruction.
Then a throught hits me.
"Retreat!" I yell.
All the airships and troops fall back.
Alashari has fallen.
(September 30, 2016 - 8:44 am)
It's hard to get to the center of a battlefield. And harder to fight someone there. Who am I fighting and why am I here? The answer is simple.
Catastrophe.
His blue eyes glint as he dogdes my arrows, more and more gleeful with each one. He even laughs once or twice, causing me to try harder. I am running out of arrows. I reach into the quiver on my back, and feel only one or two left.
I panic, and he obviously sees it on my face.
"Why not just give in?" He says, grinning.
"And why do you think I would ever do that?"
"Maybe I'd spare your friends. This city. Maybe I'd even help you find your brother."
I pause for a moment, considering.
"How do you know about my brother?" I ask. My grip loosens on my bow.
"I have my ways," He responds, smiling his charming smile, "What do you say?"
"And you would stop killing all these people, if I just gave in?"
He nods. I reach into my quiver for another arrow. It's empty. And I freeze in the middle of a battle field. What if I just gave in?
(September 30, 2016 - 3:17 pm)
I hear a rumble beneath my feet as Icy and I search for the Power. It mus just be a bomb. But I know it deep inside. Aslahari has fallen.
"C'mon," I growl, grabbing Icy's hand.
"But we have to-"
"No!" I shout. "We'll get killed if we stay. Let's go!"
She follows me as we hed out into the clearing, into the fighting. I look all around me. So many are dying, the ground sprayed with blood.
Shadow spots us and runs up to us."What are you all doing here?!" she shouts.
"It's too dangerous to look for the Power," I huff.
Shadow glares at me. "I told you to stay away and look!"
"And we did!" Icy intervens. "But like Mina says, it's too dangerous." She looks around. "It looks like we're losing too. You need more troops, more people. We can help."
Shadow takes a long look at us and then shrugs. She goes back to fighting. Icy looks at me and nods, then going to join Shadow.
But while they aren't looking, I slip off and join Catastrophe's side of the battle line. I find him in the middle of fighting. As I walk up to him, I pick up the Aether gun of a fallen warrior and start shooting.
"Catastophe," I say, as I approach him.
He acknowledges me as he shoots a person charging at me. "Glad we could meet. Queer place to pick a battle ground."
"At no cost," I reply.
He nods. "True. This is nothing compared to my designs for my kingdom."
I nod and smile.
He laughs. "Don't let me keep you. There are still many to kill. Go up to the front lines, they need a captain."
I'm shocked. "What happened to the other captain?"
Catastrophe smirks. "Turns out he was a spy all along. We can't have that, can we?"
I hesistate before I shake my head. "No."
"Good," he replies. "Now go."
I nod and run off to the troops in the front. Everybody on both sides seems to have fallen back and sought out shelter to replenish.
"Alright!" I shout. "Here's what we're going to do."
"Who are you?" a soldier spits.
"Your captain," I reply codly.
He is taken aback but regains himself and nods.
I turn my attention to the rest of the troops. We have little time.
"We have to take out the front line on their side. I have observed they put all of their good warriors there. Take them out, and we win. Some of them will beg for mercy. Show them none. This is war." I pause, letting it sink in. "And we. will. win."
(September 30, 2016 - 3:41 pm)
Catastrophe leaves for a moment, and I get a chance to see Mina and Icy. Mina slips away, but Icy and I talk for a moment.
"Where's the Power?" I ask,
"Mina pulled me away before we could get it," she grumbles,
"Where's Mina going?" I ask
Icy shrugs. "She probably went to join the rest of the battle,"
She leaves to battle a cyborg boy. Catastrophe returns.
"I think I found someone who could change your mind."
I roll my eyes. Like anything could change my opinion.
"Hello shadow," Says Mina. And she wears a red sash. The sash of a general in Catastrophe's army.
"Mina?!"
"It's not Mina. It's Ravage, actually. Nice to meet you,"
"I thought you had decided to change, to come back and rejoin the side you believed in!"
"I was telling the truth. It just wasn't about your cause. I meant mine."
"That's right," says Catastrophe, "And," he holds a gun to Mina's forhead, "I'll kill her if you don't surrender yourself, this town, and the Power within it to me,"
I stare at Catastrohe, Mina, and the gun held to her forhead.
"Tick tock," he says.
"Fine."
The word escapes my lips before I can stop it. Mina may be a traitor, but she was brainwashed. And I can't watch any more innocent souls die.
"Wonderful," says Catastrophe, releasing Mina from his clutches, "Go round up the villagers. Find a place to keep them. The palace would be nice. I understand the ballroom doors lock. "And you," he says, pointing to me, "You don't go forgetting you're promise. Hands behind your back."
Reluctantly, I put my hands behind my back and feel the cuffs encase my wrists. I try to pry them off, but I can't.
"We heard you had super-strength. The cuffs are made out of rose-glass, one of the strogest materials in Kyngdom. You won't be getting out of those anytime soon."
I sigh. This is going to be a long day.
(September 30, 2016 - 4:53 pm)
Alia~
Fighting my way out of the restaurant, I look out to see Mina, Shadow and Icy with Catastrophe. Except Mina looks...different. She's wearing a red sash, and..laughing. Shadow sighs and turns around. Catastrophe laughs as well. I gasp. Shadow and Icy disappear with Catastrophe and Mina. I scream and run after them. Everyone whips around. I gulp.
Busted....
(September 30, 2016 - 7:54 pm)
Catastrophe looks at me and smirks as he bounds Shadow.
"Not only are you a good general, but you're a great actor, too."
Shadow whips her head around. "What?!"
I laugh. "You think he was actually going to kill me?"
Shadow looks like a light bulb went off in her brain. "Of course not."
Catsatrophe lightly laughs. "Ah, you are so gullible." He looks at me. "Take her away."
I nod and walk off with Shadow. She tries to break free a couple of times with her wings, so we end up shackling them. I finally get her to the prisoner's ship.
As we board, I say to the guards guarding the entrance, "Lock the bay door up. This one is taking off after I leave."
They salut and stand guard.
I walk up the entrance with Shadow, and we go deeper into the ship. I open the door to the cells, and we walk inside. It is a pale blue with clear glass cells. I walk up to Shadow's cell and unlock it, opening the door. I take off her bonds quickly before she can respond, and I throw her in. The door slams before she can try to get out.
"Tratior!" she screams.
I sigh. "Please, not this again."
"No," she sobs. "I-I'll tell you until I can't say it anymore. I don't know what it will take, but you need to know that this isn't you!"
I look at her coldly. She looks at me with a tear-streaked face.
"Goodbye, Shadow," I say as I walk down the hallway and close the cell door.
I can hear Shadow's screaming and crying echoing as I walk off the ship and give the signal to fly off. I look back, only to see the stream of smoke left by the departing ship.
I walk up to Catastrophe.
"Well?" he asks.
"What's done is done," I reply.
"Good," he smirks. "And we're just getting started. Get the troops ready."
"For what?" I ask.
He smiles. "For the final downfall of Aslahari."
(September 30, 2016 - 8:02 pm)
Elliot, take a party to the west.
Ludvic, take one to the east.
Bats will swarm over Alashari.
Everyone, stay down.
(September 30, 2016 - 10:14 pm)
(I think it's kinda rude to storm into Ashari and then write that Catastrophe is destroying it. Just sayin', it's major charecter control.)
"General? His general!?" Shadow yells. "Calm down." I say softly. "He's heartless, pitiless, he'll kill us." Shadow explains carefully. "I know. But, he can't kill you. I know something that he doesn't." I say quietly. "W-what?" she asks.
"There is no Power; I was faking it." I say quietly. "There's something else here in Ashari. But I can't tell you just yet," I say patiently. "What--"
The door flies open. I hope that we're saved, free, because I'm sick of being a captive--
But it's the Blonde King Catastrophe himself.
(September 30, 2016 - 10:20 pm)
Out of character
Icy, Sienna,my apologies. Whenever I write, the story just flows out of my hands and into whatever I'm writing/typing. The characters get minds of their own, and they develop in ways I would never have thought before. For example, I was writing a book, and I just suddenly wrote that one of my characters (one of my favorite characters) died. It just happened. So did Aslahari. But, I was thinking that maybe once Catastrophe completely takes over, the villagers can form a resistance against him. Just throwing that idea out there.

You're writing a book? Oh my Kyngdom I wish I could give you my email adress so you could share it with me, but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to post contact info...
