Ferra, may we ... collaborate? I play a combination of dubstep. So, I could play as your band. I'll get back to you soon for what time I can play for your performance if you agree.
(April 26, 2016 - 11:12 am)
Yes, that sounds good! A double act! But, and this probably makes me sound like a dummy, but what exactly is dubstep? And how is it pronounced?
(April 27, 2016 - 8:00 am)
I don't know what you mean by pronounced, but it's similar to classical, just a little more dressed up.
(April 27, 2016 - 1:02 pm)
I shall field that question.
Dubstep (DUHB - STEHP) is a noisy, distorted, and obtrusive subgenre of tehcno, pop, and/or hip-hop music, in which a rhythm and percussive focus drives the piece through amplitude-throttling digital synthesizers. Its distinctive sound is a bass emphasis, played at frequencies low enough to evoke the physical vibration being the primary draw of the sound itself. Its made to sound very much like computers are the musicians.
It is a new musical movement that came quite recently from the Earth realm into Kyngdom. In fact, most of us thought it was the burrowed civilzations beneath us, readying their drills for their impending surface breach. But thankfully, it was merely a (mostly) harmless new style, and not a full scale revolution.
Elements of dubstep are often incorperated in a wide vareity of virtually any musical genre these days, as it serves to make a song sound "very now".
Personally I find the entire thing quite intriguing. Humans are amazing sometimes with the ideas they come up with.
