Labyrinth Tunnels Code13

Labyrinth Tunnels Code13

If you're new here, start at the first labyrinth post. All the labyrinth posts live on the Power of Claw page.

Wiseowl, Claaws, and Scarlet saved the day this time! "F-O-R-E-S-T" opened the door of the forest-looking room, and we've reached it: the thirteenth room.

Some people think the number thirteen brings bad luck, but I don't. Maybe it's because I like being contrary. I have this theory that if you believe the exact opposite of everyone around you, you might be wrong 90% of the time, but 10% of the time you'll be amazing. Anyway, I really like the numbers thirteen and four. (A lot of Sprocketvillians think four is unlucky.)

The thirteenth room is less of a room and more of a cave. The walls are covered with all sorts of little holes. From what I know of caves, they probably go on for miles and miles. Thimble, Little Crow, and some other small creatures could explore them, but at this point in our journey, it might be best to stick together and focus on the next gate.

That said...we're running out of food and water again. Who and Little Crow volunteered to leave the tunnels and fetch more, but I don't feel great about leaving those two alone again. I propose that some other flying creatures—maybe Wiseowl or Storm Windwhisperer?—go with them.

Don't forget those green stones. And if anyone can find some chewy black licorice, I wouldn't complain at all.

OK, I just had a minor shocked. The old badger just ran up to me, shouted "Seventeen will leave, nine left over," and enthusiastically scratched the letter "F" off the bark.

-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-

He seems to be talking more and more, although half the time he seems to be talking to the walls themselves. I just watched him whispering to a dripping stalactite for almost fifteen minutes. When he was done, he just turned back to the little fire he had made to warm up another cup of tea.

I doubt he was talking to himself. The strange voices in these tunnels really have been growing louder. For the most part they seem harmless, but sometimes I'll wake up and the tone of the persistent whispering chills me. I start to sweat. It never lasts long, though.

Wait a second. This one seems damaged or something. A lot of these characters aren't in my Cypher. The combination lock is straightforward enough, at least. Any ideas?

Huh... this seems tricky...

I, MoonRacer, volunteer to help find food and water. Being stuck trying to find Eli, I'll do a transport to get there and back again.

Do we add up the sides maybe?

(mwuhahahah heh I'm just commenting to get the first comment, MWUHAHAHAH!!! sorry I'm slaphappy right now.)

I'll be glad to help Little Crow. I think we can figure some things out. Notice how some are fully drawn and that there are more space between the pawprints if each line was the same. If we somehow find a pattern where the spaces and lines are the same and match up, then we could decode it!

I think the lines are missing because IT IS 13!

Anyways, Little Crow and Who want to get going. I hope the water source isn't far, otherwise, i will make the wind blow storm clouds over!

"EeHeEhEeHeEhEe!" I wake up, again, with the same headache. Icicle (Icy to those of you who know her. To me, she's scum.) lets a moan escape from her lips. Of the two captives, she's the weakest, I think to myself pridefully. "OOooh! ThErE's pEoPlE lOoKiNg FoR yOu, FoX tOy-Oh? It'S....hEr? WhY iS sHe LoOkInG fOr...?" "Who's looking for us?" Icicle speaks. It's been the first time she's spoke for the entire day. "NoBoDy'S lOoKiNg FoR yOu." It speaks quickly.

And then I feel the same....fear try to seize my heart again....but...I will be brave.

"That's not true." Me and Icicle say at the same time.

I'm not gonna try decoding this one, it seems too hard, but maybe the clue is in the letters. Think about it. The next letter is L. The code has five spaces. And this is door thirteen. Try the answer, Lucky.

I'm sorry guys, but I won't be able to help a lot, I'm leaving for my family's Chesapeake house today and will be staying there for a month. So there won't be a lot of comments from me. But I can still wish you good luck!

So here's my last comment: I think that it was written like this on purpose and the idea that you can't read it is the riddle itself. So maybe the answer is mixed, or erased. Also, not sure if this is relevant at all, but the only letters I could make out are H-O-H.

Slight correction Charlie, we have reached the thirteenth code, but not the thirteenth room. If you look back, Labyrinth Tunnels Code 1 was the first code, but we were outside. In Labyrinth Tunnels Code 2 we went through the door, reached the first room, but the second code. I'm sorry, i'm nitpicky like that.

Claaws paced. And paced. And paced some more. Instead of this being hypmotizing to her mind, it made her think even more. The Riddle is broken. The code is broken. The door is shut. Therer is no way fowards...no way back. Caelani had flown back and cheeked if the other gate was open. No luck, like before it was closed, but this time it was locked. Now they were trapped in the darkest cave with no way out. Claaws paused in her pacing to bang her head on the gate. "No. Way. Out. No. Way. Fowards." She raised her head to look through the gate. "Ive failed. Ive failed Eli. Ive failed my honor."

Cealani landed lightly on her sholder. "I bet theres still a way." He chirpped. "I bet we can get out, or, or find Eli. We can do something, we are Powers. We are the creators of Kyndom. We are stronger then any tunnle."

we are Powers. "Thats it! Cealani, on the count of three I need you to fly. Right into the gate. But while your at it, turn back into Gryphon. But on the ount of three!"

She took a deep breath. "One," she spread her claws and gripped the stone under them. "Two," her tail lashed from side to side, the breeze it made slowly winding itself around her legs. She took another deep breath, closed her eyes and, "three." She spread her wings and hit the cave celing with all her stranght, making a crack down the wall. Cealani barreled into the gate, half way through his flight turning into Gryphon. A split second latter he was on the other side, the gate smoking and broken down the middle. Cealanis feathers were smoking too, but he paed no attencion. His head bumped the ciling and he crouched down, his tail brushing the next gate. Claaws smiled, before turning back into a panther and jumping through the hole in the gate. In a flash of clear blue light Cealani was hovering in the air next to her, a smile spreading across his beak. "We should do that again sometime," he did a flip in the air. "It was like we still controlled Kyndom!"

Claaws laughed a little. "Well, we will soon controll Kyndom once more."

Suddenly they turned to the next gate. Beyond that, there were voices. Claaws brightened up even more. "Eli! Eli im coming!"

Claaws bounded fowards, brushing Cealani's wing with her tail. It was good to have him back. His good mood and the way he could always make a dark situtaion brighter. Now though, they may need more claws and teeth rather then words and feathers for whats waiting for them at the other end of that door.

There's a cold hand that attacks, that makes survival impossible...It's name is fear.

So, ShE's CoMiNg. ExCeLeNt." I tremble for a few seconds, then fight against the cold hand, trying to get it's grip off my heart. Eli's fought with anger-can't I fight with something else?

I put all of my positive emotions, all of my thoughts-Family. Anwen. My animal family. Home-the forest. My room at Capn'O-into my anger and then it happens.

I start glowing. Which is strange since, as far as I know, I'm not within at least 10 feet of a Power. But for some reason, I feel like...there's a Power...and it's coming closer-and I use the thought of it to make myself glow-what does the room look like anyway?

I'm in a huge cavern with a domed ceiling and covered in stalagtites and mites, with a exit to the Labrynth on my left, but I know I can't get to it in time.

There's a giant black dragon, standing contentedly in the middle of the cavern, looking at me. "NiCe....TrIcK." it says, although it's voice sounds a little strained. I shiver. So I can see my surroundings, although they're still pretty dark, but it doesn't really help me.

But it helps Eliyana (I refuse to call her Eli anymore. Pernounced Ellie, by the way, but a cooler spelling.). She darts up and her claws are out and her claws are locked against the....dragon thing's claws in combat, and she looks seriously strained and I don't know what to do.

"You. Monster." She whispers as she tries to get a blow in. "EeHeEhEe!!!!"

I race past Claaws, my tail sliding behind me. Bursting into the room, I see Eli trying to fight the thing. "ZYou?" I gasp.I have a flashback- the forest burning how this monster came to change my life forever. How he nearly would have killed me. How he slaughtered everyone I know.

Instantly I change into dragon form, roaring at the creature. He stands his ground, though, roaring back. "So YoU  StIlL LiVe? " "Yes," I answer, my spines rising. I'm here to get my friends back. To finish this." He sizes me up, looking at Claaws and Cealani. In that moment of indecision, I take one step back, flare my wings, and charge forward with all my strength.

The blow knocks Eli of off the other dragon, sliding her onto the floor. Claaws and Cealani have taken the brunt of the fighting, so I go over to Icy and Eli. "Here," I say, motioning them to go closer. It takes all of my strength to stop him from controlling me--as well as fighting.  Touching their forehead with my snout, they both watch as purple bands of light wrap around them. forming a barely visible barrier. "Thanks," Eli and Icy say. "You're welcome." Straightening up, I glance back at how Claaws and Cealani are doing. "The protection spell links all of us and stops him from mind control. If you're faring badly, I will get the distress signal." They both nod. " Icy, one more thing--how good are you at shooting?" From in my rucksack, I pull out a bow, the slender oak enough to damage even my scales. A quiver of arrows follow. Icy takes them, then notches an arrow. My last words are to Icy and Eli. "Let's fight!"

AhAaa...tHiS pUpPeTeErIng iS rEaLly qUiTe fUn.

--{I won't be typing in the strange font, because this might be a long post.}--

"Let's bring back some mealworms!" says an owl whose name I have figured out to be Storm. We head off down the passage, through the previous gate and into the strange cavern. We're flying at a fast pace. And we're about to pass my hiding place.

We're swooping down the tiled hallway now; the owl Who pulling ahead. Something strikes my interest from my cave, and I pull my mind out of his. He is now being controlled by me, but I cannot see through his eyes.

The fox is hitting my side. I shake my head, freeing myself from the struggles of the crow.

"I...am...not...staying...here..." She collapses from exhaustion. My presence does that to people.

"I assume you're feeling a little angry," I say mockingly. Eli doesn't answer. The human looks at me with a rage I know she's never felt before.

"You're all doing wonderfully," I assure them. "If you'd like to know what's going on, I'd love to tell you."

My prisoners glare indignantly up at me, but I can feel that their curiosity is pointed this way. "Well, then. I'd be glad to enlighten you!" Oh, it's such fun toying with them! I've had a millenia to plot and plan in my sleep. This sure feels good, doing what I'm meant to do. "You probably haven't...heard of me," I begin. "I am an evil greater than any that you have ever known. My name...oh, I'll tell you later," I say with mock humility. "You want to know the juicy stuff. I'm toying with you. Little Crow is under my control. He'll be scared to death, you know, not being able to warn his friends and all. You both, on the other hand, are sticking with me. You're being saturated in the darkness I emanate. Right now you're drowning in it. I must admit, you have stronger hearts than most. Even you, Eli."

The almost insane fox is glaring at me now--again. I can't resist a happy giggle.

"Yes, you have goodness in you. But fear not, Icy and Eli. A few more days and it'll all be gone. You'll be the darkest animals in all of Kyngdom, and you will be living messages to all--A warning that I am ten thousand times darker, ten thousand times more evil, and will always be. Kyngdom will fall beneath my talons, and you have your precious Power Claaws to thank for that. The more I confuse her, the longer time I have with you. So relax, and sit back, and enjoy the chaos."
