Rhi slumped down against the cold, stone, dungeon wall, after yet another futile attempt to wriggle her legs out of the shackles. It was hopeless to try to do anything. She was stuck here, for good or until someone came down here to get her. And bring her up to her excecution, most likely. Once again she cursed her stupidity. Why had she tried to create a magic fire? The alley had been cold and dark, but not nearly as cold and dark as a dungeon. She had known she would get caught. She had known magic was against the law. And it wasn't as if she was a real witch, one who could turn attackers into toads or whatever. And now she was stuck here. May as well give up, she thought. Can't do anything.
Then a sound jolted her out of her thoughts -- a loud, long creak as the door swung open, and light came down into the dungeon. "Anyone down there?" a voice shouted.

(August 6, 2010 - 12:22 pm)
Kay: Of course you can join! (But you might want to ask the others too.) And where did you get that smilie?

//The Master//
(By the way this first section is going to be around the time Ven left... and will just be The Masters thoughts.)
"So, Ven had left. I knew she would, I would have. She was one of the few people I really trusted. Not just someone I had frightened into following me, or someone that could do good magic... I realy trusted Ven. she had been in with me from the beggining. She always blamed herself, but I hadn't once - tried to stop her. This was going a little far though. Hmph. I'd give her a week to get back. then I would go after her my self. She didn't know what the real danger was, the real evil they were fighting. If it was just the Queen and her circle we were up against, we'd have won in a hartbeat. No... we were up against far worse dangers than that, and if their was one person I did't want tangled up with Him... it was Venificus."

If anyone would rather I didn't create a new enemy in my first character post... we can change that.
(August 8, 2010 - 12:12 pm)
It's okay. Him would be cool. Like a puppet master pulling strings behind the curtains. Once again though, you might wanna check with everyone else. ;-)
(August 8, 2010 - 5:22 pm)
Is anyone else on? Hello!
(August 10, 2010 - 12:39 pm)
Calm down, I'm here! Of course, I don't have time now to write, but I solemnly vow to post something soon... however, the finale of SYTYCD is on tonight, so that might get in the way. I'll do my best!
Oooh . . . So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite show! The dancers are all so good! It's a joy to watch them. And the group numbers are really outstanding.

I'm here! I can't see Temp's post yet.
(August 11, 2010 - 7:50 pm)
Yey! For once, a thread isn't abandoned the moment I try to join!
(August 12, 2010 - 7:54 pm)
@Admin: YOU ROCK. PERIOD. That is sooooo cool that you watch the show too! I just got done watching and (although I was sad to see Robert go) I'm thrilled that Lauren won. I've been rooting for her since the day Alex had to leave. And Ellen was on! That was an awesome finale! Hehehe... hope I didn't spoil anything for anyone.
[Robert was my first choice to win. I loved that scary clown number. But the others were so good, too, and I'm happy for Lauren. They're all great dancers.

@Kat: Go with it! I liked it!
@My Fellow Posters: I'm going to do something that I hope will be okay. I don't think Koffee's been around this thread much to complain, so.....

As my luck would have it, we happened to run into a limping Sigman in the palace hallways. He must have been trying to make the feast to appease the Queen. I remembered all the horrible things I'd said and done to him earlier that afternoon and immediately began preparing my apology. He, however, took one look at me and whipped out a stick. Wait, no... not a stick...
"Wand!" screamed Rhi and dove aside. Aalton followed her lead.
Perhaps it was the fact that I was finally in control of my own faculties after so long. Or maybe it was that I hadn't expected anything so drastic from a newly crippled man. Whatever the reason, I froze.
"Did you really think a bit of torture could keep me down, Lady Wickler?" he spat at me, sneering at my title. "I'm not one of the Queen's favorites for nothing, you know."
I stared at him; at the shaking, bandaged hand pointing a wand at me. I knew what was under the bandage. And it wasn't something I was proud of.
"Torture?" Aalton echoed. "Sigman, what are you talking about?"
"This... is awkward," I said, saying the first words that came to mind. I kept my hands raised and still. "Sigman, I'm truly sorry for what I did to you... really. I don't normally do things like that."
"Oh, right, you witch!" he snarled. A purple spark flew from the wand and it made me feel better when I didn't flinch. "You think I don't know what the Queen's told you to do to all of--"
"But," I continued as though he wasn't speaking, "we really need to keep moving, so I advise you to stand aside. Don't do anything stupid."
"What has the Queen told you to do?" Aalton demanded, rising to his feet and helping Rhi to hers. From behind us, there were some shouts and heavy footsteps.
"Not now..." I told him, then faced Sigman again. "Are you going to stand aside?"
He bared his teeth at me. "GUARDS!" he yelled. Or, at least, that's what he would have yelled. Had I not shot two yellow jets of light from my hands.
They hit Sigman in either temple and he crumpled to the floor with a grunt. Aalton and Rhi stared.
"I had no choice," I said, a bit defensively. "C'mon. We need to get out of here and I think I have an idea."
They followed me through the hallways without a word. I tried not to let it bother me, but on the inside I was seething. What if Aalton was afraid of me now? Or worse, what if he now fancied Rhi? It was my own fault; I'd tried to shun him for so long. Before I knew it, we were at the servants' quarters. I stopped and glanced back at Rhi warily. Then I knocked.
A youth with shaggy black hair opened the door. "Lady Wickler," he said with a deep bow. "How can we help you this evening?"
I squared my shoulders and took a deep breath. I'd noticed the girl earlier that morning, just before I'd met Sigman, but mercifully my enslaved mind hadn't taken it seriously. Now that I was free, however....
"I'm here for Seryn," I told the youth imperiously. "Please send her out straight away. And tell her the Queen has given her service over to me."

Temperance and Admin: Ahh... You guys are allowed to watch SYTYCD. I'm not. *cries* I saw some of the dances on YouTube (on which I'm only allowed to listen to orchestral music) and they were sick. I really like Filip Filipi Boom. Do you guys watch ABDC? I don't but, again, I saw some of the dances on YouTube. I think Poreotix pwns. Just saying. :-P

I looked down at Cruor's limp body and kneeled down to feel her pulse. Only one problem.
She had no pulse.
I wasn't sure if I was angry or glad. Either way, I knew I had to get out of the Queen's castle. And, if possible, find the only people I knew around these parts. Or go to the Rhombus and face the Master's wrath.
I decided to go with the first option.
I headed down the hall and near the door just in time to see to bolts of light come out from the young witch, Temperance's, hands and blast another of the Queen's favourites in the temples. (sorry if you mind the quotations Temp) I gasped. She turned to me and put a finger to her lips. Then she turned around abruptly and followed the other witch girl and the boy she was courting. (at the moment, I wasn't sure whose)
I followed them swiftly. I hoped they didn't notice, but they did. When we were off the castle grounds, the Queen's favourite turned to me and asked in a piercing hiss, "Why are you following us? To abduct us and turn us into the Master." she drawled the word "Master" in a mocking tone.
"We both hate the Queen." I said squarely. Not remembering that the Queen's nephew was in my presence.
"Well, if you won't leave..." the Queen's favourite then shot stretched out her right arm from her side and would have blasted me to bits if I hadn't summed up a shield quickly.
"Leave her alone in her misery, Temp," said the boy. Ahh. So that was the Queen's Favourite's name.
"I say you should blast her to bits like you did with Sigman," suggested the other witch, "She was planning to kill you."
"Yeah. Like you weren't," I scoffed, "You know, if you want, I'll leave, you just have to ask." The three looked at me suspiciously, but didn't seem to have any very obvious reaction.
"Fine, begone." Temperance said with a wave of her hand. I happily walked off, sneaking into the gardens to fetch Luna.
But not before I casted a tracking spell on all three of them.
(Ok, since ZNZ isn't posting anymore, we should see if anyone wants to post as Rhi, maybe you Temp? ML? Kay? Do you have any suggestions Admin?)
I'd say whoever first replies should take over Rhi. And I don't think I watch ABCD because I don't know what it is and I don't watch much TV at all, mostly just dance and figure skating competitions and the Olympics.

Oh boy. Just reread Temp's post and realized that the time she was arguing with Trompeur in my post, she was getting the shaggy-haired boy to get Seryn. Hmm...
Ok, to clean this up. Let's just say Temp and Co. are walking down the hall. And all you have to do pretty much is omit the part about me seeing Temp strike Sigman. There. All better. I hope. Sorry for the mix-up, guys.
