Emilie and Jessica!

Emilie and Jessica! All right, if no one else will make us a thread I will. So... What do you want this to be about? I was thinking fantasy, as long as we don't have any "fractured fairy-tales." I mean, they're great, but for all the eliminating of cliches, they're becoming cliche.

*likes Roc bird* *tries to reach new understanding of topography with sudden insertion of mountain*

********************************

When several minutes had passed with so further sound, Karreth raised his head. The Roc bird was only a copper dot now, moving around the far side of the mountain. Yet even from such a distance he could see its enormity. It rounded the side and dissapeared from veiw.

It's gone, he said caustiously.

Slowly the three of them stood up.

My mother did well to tell me to fear this bird, Skyonso said. It is the White Stag's only natural predator.Even wolves and tigers are not fast enough to catch us, nor men clever enough, though they occasionally succeed in bringing one of us down. But we have clearly met our match here. Let us be cautious.

They move slowly up the mountainside, scanning the skies.

Oh, sorry about the mountain. Did you say pillar? *feels brainfried* Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. :S

Wait, said Skyonso. I see something.

They had reached a nest made out of cinnamon twigs...

The Golden Phoenix's nest, breathed Skyonso.

But there was one thing missing. The Golden Phoenix itself.

Where IS it?! Karreth cried.

Search, said Laran.

They searched all over the mountainside, but saw nothing. Then finally Skyonso called, Look!

Karreth and Laran ran back to the nest. And there, in the center, surrounded by fine gray ash, was a single golden egg.

I'm actually not doing NaNoWriMo-partly because my longest novel is one I have been working on for two years, so I doubt I could finish a novel in a month, and partly because I don't know how. I mostly feel brainfried because I keep staying up too late reading, and also because I have to take care of my baby sister four days a week.

Andy P. C. says uvoh. Uvula? Andy is not making any sense today.
