Emilie and Jessica! All right, if no one else will make us a thread I will. So... What do you want this to be about? I was thinking fantasy, as long as we don't have any "fractured fairy-tales." I mean, they're great, but for all the eliminating of cliches, they're becoming cliche.

Cool! So, what should the story be about? Fantasy is cool with me, I also like realistic fiction and adventure. I have a few ideas:
1. Something with dragons, unicorns, and/or griffins, preferably all three.
2. Orphans! I love orphans, they're much easier to work with.
3. Tigers! :)
4. Wolves. Or dingoes. Preferably wolves.

Well, I'm not so much into unicorns, but I do like white stags. And Phoenixes. An orphan for the main character is good with me.

White stags are cool, as are phoenixes. An orphan is good. What if the orphan met the white stag in the woods and they set off on an adventure? We need names, villian, adventure, etc. Let me know what you think!

Villain: How about there's an evil (or at least prideful and puffed-up) king after the stag, he wants a better hunting trophy and he won't give up until he catches it.

Hm, that could work. He needs a name, though. Something like King Vorschtrwoch...nah, to hard to pronounce.
Something I just thought of: The orphan is running away from the orphanage in the forest when he/she meets the stag. The stag is running away from the king, and the orphan helps him hide. Then they set off on a quest together.
We need to figure out these things:
1. Is the orphan a boy or girl? Girls are easier, since I'm a girl, but I'm starting to think of him/her as a boy.
2. Names?
3. What are they searching for on their quest?
I hope you don't find my list-making annoying. It makes it easier for me to see what needs doing.

P.S. I just thought of something! What if they are searching for the mystical golden pheonix! To help them solve their problems or something. Let me know what you think.

Hm... I don't really know about the names... Yes, let's go with a girl orphan. But rather than having her at an orphanage, she could probably be a serf at the castle. And she wants to go have an adventure. So she meets the stag... Ooh! How about they don't talk, instead they can share thoughts!

A girl orphan is good, servant at the castle is good. Sharing thoughts! Awesome! Yeah, she wants to go on an adventure, helps the stag get away, and then they go to find the golden pheonix, maybe?

As for names, I think a simple, plain name will do for our heroine. How about Laran?

Oooo, can I join?????? I love fantasy!!!! I find that having an orphan main character is much easier to write; the only time I do not kill off my character's parents is if they are going to a boarding school , or summmer camp. I just do not like to write conversations with parents; I can never write them right.... Anyway, I hope you will let me join!!!!
