november novel writing challenge :D
it’s almost that time of the year again, folks!! for those of you don’t know, during the month of november, a lot of writers challenge themselves to write a novel - traditionally, the exact goal is 50,000 words, but you can aim to write as many words you want :D
this thread can be for sharing word counts, talking about your novel, asking for advice on a scene you’re stuck on, encouraging each other, whatever :]

wow, halfway through already! and I'm proud to say that I actually reached 25k!!! :)) I'm quite happy because I did not expect to really even make it halfway to my goal so...
and to everyone else, keep it up! Keep on writing whenever you can (though remember to take breaks), and try to set smaller goals for yourself if you can't reach the daily quota that nanowrimo sets.

I am at 8901 words or something like that :/ I probably could've made it to 10,000 (or at the very least, 9000) words yesterday night, but I took a break to drink some milk (hydration is important! And the milk has recently been slightly more sweet than usual and it's really good :D) and then my dad was like, "you should go to sleep!!!" and my mom was like, "sleep is important for you!!!" so then I stopped writing :/ I didn't go to sleep though... I stayed up and continued rereading The Girl Who Drank the Moon!!! :DDDD So worth it. So I'll just happily make up the 2000 words I didn't write today and write like another 2000 hopefully...
The only thing is that I'll be out for the whole morning and afternoon---I'm leaving in 30 minutes ack!---and after I get back, we'll have family over for dinner... so that's basically my whole day...
At least my dance concerts are coming up, so I might prioritize writing over socialization (at least, I will if all the kids I know decide to play volleyball the whole time for the third time. I don't play volleyball. No offense to everyone who loves volleyball :) ) and get like a lot more hours of writing in.

i just finished all the hunger games books+movies like three days ago. so i was like why not write a fanfic? and i don't have much stamina so im only 300 words in...
BUT if you are a hunger games appreciater, I'd be willing to share chapter 1

because i am a master procrastinator
and because i have extracurriculars
and because i just started a week ago (ik a bit late)
im ONLY 2000 WORDS IN!

I fill every cm of my free time with writing :)
(I literally do not have time to write any other thing, between practicing music and doing hw and school and yes, extracurriculars)

im not doing anything beyond the terminal creatively currently, bc i have so many obligations, but generally speaking im just really productive, to the detriment of my own health, probably. being able to manage your time and obligations, and knowing when to stop pushing yourself is also a skill, don't beat yourself up over it! certain people, (me) get incredibly antsy and anxious when they're not being productive, being able to balance that is a skill :D

it was a pretty hard month for me, so while i didn't reach 50k, i'm still super proud of all the words i did write :D it's so awesome that you did hit 50k, though, congrats!!! :DD *confetti*
