Villains
Who are your favorite villains? Least favorite? What do you think makes a great villain? Have any of you made any extraordinary (or ordinary for that matter) villains recently? Also, any advice for making a great villain? Sorry if there's already a villain thread, though I didn't see one!
Villain chat room! Muahaha!

As for what makes a good villain, I agree with TNÖ, Tempest, Leaf, and, in short, most of the people here.
As for my particulaw favorites, my favorite female villain is Redd from TLGW, and my favorite male villain is... Well, I'm actually not sure. I'll just say The Adderhead, because any villain looks interesting when compared to Capricorn, who had no personality.
I've read The Hunger Games (and loved it), but not Catching Fire.

Never mind. I now remember my real favorite male villain: The Tar Man/Blueskin/Vega Riaza from the Gideon Seymore trilogy.

I, being the obsessive person that I am, have a Shiny New Favourite (Anti-) Villain; the Witch from Into the Woods. I love her. And no, it's not just because her actor is Bernadette Peters (though that probably contributes some). It's because she's the smartest person in the play, actually understanding the gravity of the situation once the happily ever afters start to fall apart in act 2. And she manages to be both the Woobie and the comic relief. And, of course, she has the best, most epic song in the entire piece (Last Midnight, a Villainous Breakdown Crowning Music of Awesome in which she calls out all the survivors on their stupid, greedy actions). Furthermore, if you are the type to rate characters on their hair... well... hers is bigger than HBC's is in the Harry Potter movies.

Okay, first of all, glad to meet another person who's read and loved the Hunger Games, Ima! You'll like the second one too... I'm literally quivering with anticipation for the last book to come out.
Second, TNO? I am even MORE elated to hear you've not only watched Into the Woods, but that you seem to share my utter Bernadette-Peters-worshipping love for it. Amazing.

I've actually been meaning to watch it for some time, and then a few days ago I found an avi copy online, and it was quite amazing. And yes, yes, Bernadette Peters/the Witch is awesome. I also love Cinderella, Little Red, and Jack.

My favorite was the Baker's Wife. I was positively crushed when... well, you know. Red was hilarious too, and I loved Cinderella. Yes, that play is spectacular. Sigh... So good. And it's watch instantly on Netflix, so if your parents have an account you can watch it on your computer anytime you want!
