Appearence: She has jet-black hair with a long angled bob; pale skin, high cheekbones, shocking blue eyes with long eyelashes, and a beauty mark on cheek. She's Asian (Korean??) and is tall and slightly thin. She looks very powerful.

Personality: Reserved and an introvert. Seems very cold to everybody that doesn't know her.

Powers/Skills (please try to avoid an OP charrie!): Wind powers (can command the air and control some weather) 

Hero, Rebel, or Neutral?: Rebel. Could be classified as evil, but has a motive - see "Backstory".

Backstory (optional): Her parents were in the army, but died in a bombing when she was a toddler. She's lived on the streets ever since, and wants to overthrow the government for creating and using bombs.

@The Sage Wolf, you were correct, I'm no longer accepting charries.  I'm so sorry but have already planned out the general flow of the story and what role each character will play in it.  Snazzycakes was right- Eir sounds like a really interseting, complex charrie and I'd love to see her somewhere else!  I'm also considering doing a sequel or companion solo write to this one, and if I do I'll be more than happy to include your character!

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to let you know that I'm not going to have a new part this week, but I'm so glad you all are enjoying this and know you'll keep it topped!

Part 6

“And if I go through with this, I’ll be able finally leave this prison of a town?” Jax asked the purple-haired girl sitting opposite her.

Sophie nodded. “Forever.  You’ll never have to come back.”

Jax hesitated.  This was what she’d waited for.  A chance to get out, to escape, to live her life the way she wanted.  Yet it felt too easy.  Could Sophie and her reckless band of rebels really change everything?  And would they really change it for the better?  Now that was something she doubted.  She definitely didn’t like the way Sophie was looking at her, like she’d be forced to comply whether she agreed to it or not. “All right,” Jax agreed. “I’ll do it.” But if you make one move out of line, you’ll lose my loyalty, she thought.  I won’t hesitate to fight against you.  And win. 

Elsewhere in town, Marina had a problem.  She was sitting in a diner, the sweet and savory mouth-watering scents of fried food drifting through the air.  Usually that would make her happy.  But sitting in front her was a short but intimidating woman with caramel-brown hair pulled into a tight ponytail and steely green eyes. “Ms. Charles,” Marina began. “I don’t understand what you’re asking.”

The woman drummed her long, painted fingernails on the table. “Your skills exhibit a high level of power.  Acrobatics, speed, endurance- these are things I value in my agents.  You surely know that I command a group of intelligence officers that focus on infiltration, interrogation, and stealth.”

“So spies.” Marina rolled her eyes.  People like Eliza Charles always tried to make something seem more innocent or acceptable then they really were.

“Of a manner, yes,” Eliza answered. “And I’d like to ask if you are interested in joining them.  Your superpowers would be highly valued.”

Interesting, Marina thought. “What’s in it for me?” she asked sharply, testing the woman trying to recruit her.  Usually employers would be taken aback by the question.

But Eliza just smiled, as if she’d expected it. “Well, it would be a job, and you’d receive quite the salary.  It would also allow you to use your skills for a greater cause, and you would learn how to use them to their full potential.”

The offer was tempting.  But something about it felt off.  There was something Eliza wasn’t telling her.  Marina narrowed her eyes. “I’ll try it out.  But will I be able to withdraw?”

“Clever,” Ms. Charles growled under her breath, frowning for just a moment.  She regained her calm, friendly disposition and answered her potential employee’s question. “My agents always begin with a test mission, to see if they are qualified for the job.  If you wish to withdraw after that, you may.  But that will be your one chance.”

Marina nodded. “Okay.  So what’s my mission?”

“I’ve received word from my brother that a group of rebels is planning something grand.  You must discover what it is by any means necessary and report back to me.  You have three days.”  With that, the short woman stood briskly and exited the diner.

“So that’s it, huh?” Marina muttered as Eliza left. “I wonder if she interviewed anybody else.  This’ll be interesting.”

I am so extremely sorry!!!  I got caught up in all the holiday madness and totally neglected my writing.  But I'm finally getting back into it.  This chapter is kind of short because it's just setting up the events of the next one, which will be out sometime at the end of the week.
