Chatterbox: Inkwell
In the world of Tel’lien,(pronounced Te-lain) the world is separated into quadrants. In this story, we are in quadrant c.
When the world was crumbling and war-torn, an alliance of powerful and strong warriors created a safe place for everyone, but those people disagreed on how to run this place, so they separated into four groups. The most powerful and respected (or feared) people made sure to keep these people in line. They built a haven for the people where they could freely believe what they want and how they want to run things. If you didn’t someone didn’t like how they were living, they could go to the government and ask to see what the other quadrants were like. Life was good.
But then the government started...changing. And controlled the people, scared them into obeying. They started not caring, but if someone wanted to stop them, they could threaten-or kill-them. The people started fighting again, but tried to keep to to their own quadrants. And that led us to where we are.
In quadrant c, the world is separated into tiers. Tiers judged by character, appearances, and knowledge. Tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3.
All the kids go to school in tier 2. When the kids are 16, they are “tested”. Though, sometimes, the Council of quadrant c will make exceptions for brilliant (and brilliantly pretty) people that are younger. The kids are given situations through illusions that help the judges make their decisions. Then the judges make a decision and assign the kids their tier, job, and spouse. Then they go to the tier and home.
But little does the council know a rebellion is starting up, fueled by their anger and hatred for the government and the way their quadrant is run. Too bad they can’t get to the other quadrants, stop the council, or the government…or can they?
Hey everybody! This is an idea for a story I have, and was wondering if you guys like it! I was also wondering if you wanted to participate! I can do it as an rp, a solo write, or just do it about my charrie, Tayah. You can vote for which version you want. In 3-5 days (depending on how many people vote) I’ll count the votes and see which version I’ll do. Make sure you vote if you want to enter or see any of these! Thank you for reading this.
(P.s. sorry for the super long post, admins, thank you)

A/N: This looks fun! Tell me if you want me to change anything!
Name: Masquerade Dìomhaireachd (His real name is Ydris, but only his close friends call him that. Feel free to make a nickname.)
Gender: Male
Age(14-28): 23
Personality:
He has a dramatic "ringmaster" personality. If he's going to do something, it has to be flashy.
He's bold, loyal to the rebellion, and extremely clever. Like, really, really, clever.
He usually turns a blind eye to rude behavior, but if it a horrible comment about him or the people he cares about is made, he'll get angry and make the person shut up.
Appearence: Wavy raven hair, fair skin. One of his eyes are emerald green, the other one is a deep purple. Strong and tall.
Tier/job: 3, Showman.
Backstory(can be as tragic or boring as you want):
Ydris's mother died while giving birth to him. His father was abusive, and when Ydris was 16 years old, his father died of a heart attack.
Why they joins the rebellion: Ydris hated the way the government was controlling things. He always thought people should do what they want, without consequences.
He see's children being oppressed by the government and nobody, I repeat, nobody, hurts kids on his watch.
He wants his kids to grow up in a free world.
Any other information I should know:
Ydris tends to have nightmares due to his upbringing. He's happily married to a woman named Aubrielle, who's expecting twins soon.

Name: Anita Takamori
Gender: Female
Age(20-50): 25
Personality: She's very polite and intelligent, and is good at following orders. However, she has a rebellious streak, and is beginning to question the government. She's scared of what might happen to her if she disobeys the council, but she secretly wants to be in the rebellion and is trying to discreetly find a way to join it.
Appearance: Her mom is Asian, and she inherited her almond-shaped eyes and dark brown hair, which is shoulder-length and often in a ponytail. She's average height and slender, and when she's working, she wears a dark blue skirt and matching blazer, with white heeled shoes.
Backstory: Pretty much a normal life, however, she has an older brother who mysteriously disappeared when she was very young. She was told he died in an accident, but she's beginning to wonder if the government had something to do with her brother's disappearance. She now works as a secretary for a council member.
Agrees or disagrees with the government: She's been taught to agree with the government, but she's starting to become dubious of whether or not they're truly the good guys.
Any other information I should know: You can decide whether or not she actively joins the rebellion. I was thinking she might find a way to be an informant of sorts, supplying the rebels with valuable intel about the council.

Sorry, I'm late!!! (again) Here it is!
Part 1:
The sun was beating down on my back. With my hand on the brim of my forehead, I looked up at the sea of yellow that stretched out in front of me and sighed. I looked around, hoping that I might find some reason to stop working in the field. My dad was a farmer, tier 3.
As I searched for a reason to leave, I heard some shouts in the streets. Seems I found my reason. I waded through the stalks of corn to see 4 council members, bodyguard members, to be specific. They were charging towards my house. I gasped, confused. The 4 pounded on the door. I watched from afar, still deep in the fields next to my house. I tried to get a closer look. My dad was at the door. A big man grabbed his shirt. He pointed to the fields, his face as petrified as mine. I backed into the stalks. Three of the men came running towards me. Two of them grabbed my arms. I yelped, surprised. I struggled, but they were twice my size. I looked to my dad, just as he ran towards me. But just as he reached me, we were violently pulled away from each other.
“Tayah! Baby!! Wait! She’s just 13!!! Please, Tayah!!” My dad cried.
Then it hit me. Testing day.
I looked at his eyes. Tears were flowing down both our cheeks. The bodyguards didn’t react, barely moved a muscle, just pulled us farther away.
“Dad! Daddy!!! Wait!” I wiggled and let the tears flow.
A few people gathered around us. As I was pulled away, my dad becoming smaller and smaller, until he was just a speck.
“Wait…please…” I whispered as I was dragged away.
Okay! So, yeah, I hope you guys like it!

I'm changing Ydris to Tier 2
(August 11, 2020 - 3:16 pm)
Okay, so @Admins, can you delete the first version of part 2, thanks! here are many spelling mistakes, so here is the corrected version:
Part 2:
The guards loosened their grip when we arrived at a train station. The tracks were rusted, but I could see clear pods surrounded by a silver outline shining in the sun. They pushed me up towards it and I sat down, along with a few other people older than me. I only knew a few of them, one of which was a girl named Sal’iemah. (pronounced Sa-lee-ma but she goes by Samie which is Sammy with an ie.) She just turned 15. I looked at my feet. The floor of the pod was a rough grey carpet, and the seats were metal. I looked up, and Samie smiled at me. I smiled back. There were no guards, so people started whispering to each other. Soon it was full on talking.
Me and Samie turned to each other and started talking, too.
“I really don’t want an assigned spouse, my parents barely talk. You were so luck your parents loved each other.” she said, somewhat softley. Samie was rather shy.
My parents did love each other, but my mom died from sickness just a week after I was born. And I never got a brother. Every family was supposed to have a boy and a girl, but my mom died before they had a boy. Usually people were killed in battle or were ‘let go’. Which really means put to sleep, but people did sometimes die of other causes, like my mom. I wanted to tell Samie I wasn’t that luck, but I just agreed. I didn’t really want an assigned spouse either.
“I want to be a nurse...heard about how cool tier 1 is...tier 2...jobs...,” she continued, “what about you?”
“I haven’t really thought about it, I don’t want to get my hopes up. I don’t want to leave my dad, either, but a little glimpse of the other tiers would be nice. Both my parents were in tier two growing up, then got assigned farmer, so I don’t know anything about tier 1,” I replied.
“I wonder what the test is like.”
“Yeah.”
“Wait, you’re only 13! Why are you even getting tested?”
I shrugged, I honestly didn’t know.
“Well, you are really smart, and pretty,” she said
“Thanks.” It was nice to have her there. Her soft voice was comforting.
I opened my mouth to say something when the car fell silent. The doors opened and multiple guards stepped in. We were led out the doors, which automatically closed behind us. There were many cars and I saw kids getting out of each one. You could tell who was in each tier, tier one wearing fancy, crisply pressed and clean clothes, teir two wearing comfy and fun clothes, and tier 3 wearing ragged, ripped, torn outfits.
When everyone got out, there was a huge glistening building with windows everywhere. We were amazed, but were quickly rushed inside.
The doors opened to a huge, beautiful room with tall ceilings and a beautiful chandelier. An automated voice said, “Welcome to testing day! Congratulations! Please be seated in the room on your right. Tier 1 in the front, 3 in the back. You will be tested shortly. Welcome to testing day! Congratulations!...”
Today, my fate would be decided.

YES!!! I LOVE IT!! Just a reminder, I changed Ydris to Tier 2
(August 16, 2020 - 5:26 pm)
Great! But which job in tier 2 does he have? Jobs in tier 2 are teachers, doctors, and nurses. Thanks for the reminder, though!
(August 16, 2020 - 7:32 pm)
Well, I guess he might not be Tier 2... Where do showmen fit in?
(August 17, 2020 - 5:16 pm)
Sorry I'm so late with this, but actors/public faces are in tier 1.
(August 19, 2020 - 7:23 am)
Great! He's Tier 1 then!
Can't wait for the next part!
(August 19, 2020 - 11:01 am)

Part 3:
We shuffled in, all huddled together. The seating room was a huge auditorium, with beautiful, velvet chairs and chandeliers. I went to the section marked off as ‘Tier 3’ and I expected it to have old, worn down seats, tearing at the seams. But it didn’t, it had the the same velvet chairs as everyone else.
And then something occurred to me. I had known it before, even discussed it on the train, but it really just hit me right then. Maybe I won’t be in tier 3 anymore. Do I really want to stay in tier 3?
I had so many questions, but I couldn’t get them answered, because the automated reminded us to sit down. I sat three rows from the back, Samie on one side of me, and an empty chair on the other.
A tall man and a woman with long black hair, a clipboard and heels. He had a grey suit on, with a white shirt underneath. His belly stuck out of the suit a little bit, but that didn’t mean he didn’t look like he could pick you up and throw you across the room. The woman had bright red lipstick, a dark grey pencil skirt, a white button down shirt and red heels. I could barely see them, even though I’m pretty tall for my age.
“Welcome everyone! Today, as you know, is testing day. I’m Malano, and this is Kamiko. We are here to instruct you and make sure you have the best testing day!” He forced an uncomfortable smile, and Kamiko flashed one two, but they both returned to their original, slightly awkward facial expressions.
He then went on to explain the way the test would work, saying, “On either side of you, at the end of the seats, there are doors marked with each tier number. Your name will be called, and you will be escorted to your door, then will be asked a series of questions, truthfully, you will be put into different situations and then assessed. You will then be led back into the auditorium, and will then wait quietly to get assigned a tier, job, and spouse. So without further ado, let’s begin!”
The woman than spoke finally, and said, “The first six to be tested will be Amikalina Contrest’ino, and Galanon Batrestas in tier 1…”
Name after name was called, with each name, more anticipation grew. When someone was called, they fidgeted and wobbled to their door.
Finally, after what seemed like forever: “Tayah Ovan-remay in tier 3.”
I stood up slowly, and suddenly, my legs felt like jelly I made my way through the row of chairs, weaving and maneuvering around everyone. I was led to a door right next to the rows I was sat in. I entered the room, and closed the door behind me.
And then, everything was real.
