Launching my ideaaaaa
So this is the RP thingy I was talking about here: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/436073
Basically, this will be an RP, but with only a few people! Maybe just the people who commented on that thread ^^^ becuz including me that's six, a good number for this.
We'll start out with one charrie each and make more if needed as we go along. But I thought first of all we could discuss, what genre/what kind of story will this be? I love fantasy best, and mystery would be fun. So those are ideas. We can have a vote i guess xD And when we're done with that, we can make the characters and after THAT we can decide how they are all related to each other and after THAT we can start writing. Whatever. We can just figure this out as it goes.
This will probably go pretty slowly, so please only join if you are committed and willing to take time with this!!! Thank you!!!! The purpose of this is to actually finish something for once, and have it be well written as well!
Yay

I hit the ground with a strangled oomph, Cricket half on top of me. Arrow. Remove it, or there is no hope for me. Cricket says. I lift myself up and hurry over to Cricket's left wing. theres a wicked looking arrow sticking out of the joint between her two edge bones. I gasp and set to work, prying the arrow out of Cricket's papery thin wing. She screams inside my head, and I hear her complaining loudly. Cricket, stop. It will be better, let me just... I yank the arrow out an examine it, ignoring Cricket's panting. The tip is made of a midnight black stone, and the sharp point is made from dark, burnished silver. The feathers are a deep navy blue, like no bird i have ever seen before. Suddenly, the sky is lit up with orange light- a dragon used Fire. I jump up and lift up Cricket's head. I'll be fine. Go check it out. she says. I nod, tucking the arrow into my pocket, and dash over the dunes, careful to avoid the many prickly cacti. Theres a girl I vaugley recognize bending over her limp dragon, who, to my horror, has another black-tipped, blue-feathered arrow stuck in their left wing.

EEE this is so exciting!
All I can see is blue, blue sky, and Stella’s scales glinting golden in the sun. The wind slaps my face and whips my curls behind me, waking up my still-half-asleep mind. All I can think about is my new acceptance into the Lunar-Sun plan.
Suddenly I realize I’ve strewn away from the group I’m practicing with. Daring to look down for the first time in minutes, we prepare to dive, and my heartbeat quickens. Then I hear a long, loud sound- the emergency horn. Pushing all other thoughts away, I urge Stella towards the sound, but first she says, “We need to get a medicine bag. Someone’s probably hurt!”. The next moment I hear Mr. Marren yell the same thing, and I chide myself for not thinking of that. Other riders are also speeding toward the mountains, but I’m still in the lead. The wind feels more painful than before as I search through the vegetation-covered land. Then I see the sparkling scales of a large white dragon splayed in a clearing. Landing next to them, Stella gasps, “Kayda?” I turn towards the girl kneeling at the other side of the dragon- it's Lexi. She looks up at me, and it’s my turn to gasp when I see the tears streaming down her face. I don't know what else to do but pat her on the back and reassure her. Then I blow my bugle to signal that I'd found them. I look back at Lexi, who is attempting to pull out at- an arrow!? It's large, black, and tipped with navy blue feathers like no bird I've ever seen. Lexi pulls it out, leaving a wound in Kayda's wing, the blood contrasting with her white scales. I can tell they're both in pain. Inspecting the arrow in her hands, Lexi gathers herself enough to say, "I…don't know where this came from, but it can't be good. Keep your eyes and ears open." Realizing when she's telling me, fear shoots through me. I feel unprepared, where are the other riders? I search the sky, but the only thing I see is- BOOM. I hear screaming and roaring, the pain in my head is excruciating, and then my world goes black.

Oh, I meant crossbow, not harpoon gun! I don't know why the heck he would be carrying a harpoon gun.
