NEW SUPERPOWERS ROLEPLAY
well, i would have just joined another rp but they arent as active as i like.
so im starting my own.
hopefully.
i'm not the best rp starter, so i could use a hand.
This rp is for characters with superpowers. you can be a hero or a villain or neutral or whatever, as long as you follow a few rules.
1. your super must be a human, or humanoid at least, even if it can shapeshift, which is fine.
2. your super can have virtually any powers, within reason. for example, though your super may be impervious to bullets, or fire, it cannot be invincible. it must have a weakness.
3. you must create a bio, or description, of your character.
4. your bio must include the following: name, secret identity(optional), age, gender, appearance, personality, power(s), strengths, weaknesses, background(optional), and anything else you want to add.
MY CHARACTER:
name: Hailee
secret identity: Shadow Runner
age: 17 years
gender: girl
appearance: she always wears a black bodysuit, black gloves with needle-sharp claws poking through, boots, a black ninja-type mask, and a thin semi-transparent piece of fabric covering her eyes. thus, when you look at her, she is all black. underneath, her skin is covered in aqua-blue scales, her eyes are vivid icy blue, and she has sharp fangs. she painted her claws black to match her suit. these characteristics make her seem more reptile than human, but she wasnt always this way.
personality: meet her
powers: can shapeshift into any reptile, including the mythical ones. if she bites someone, her fangs deliver venom. she can dissolve into shadow.
strengths: shadow form is more difficult to defeat.
weaknesses: venom does not kill, only makes the victim weak and nauseas for a few moments, enough for her to escape. shadow form does not work in sunlight.
background: when she was twelve, she was bittin by a radioactive cobra, recieving her powers, and soon after was taken to a lab and experimented on, the results being her appearance, and amnesia.

That sounds like a great storyline... I can probably start rping today after school. In case anyone was wondering, I didn’t give Phoenix a last name because she’s a foster kid and prefers not to be tied down to the people who abandoned her. If you want to use it, it’s Jones, but she never tells anyone that. Can’t wait to start! Some of my posts might be short, especially as the summer goes on, but I’m really excited to start this!

Name: Mellie Oake
Secret Identity: Copycat. It began as a joking nickname she referred to herself as, then the media took it seriously.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has short auburn hair, blue eyes that turn a catlike yellow when resuming her normal state after imitating someone (see powers), and tanned skin. She's taller than average, but that doesn't mean she can't be intimidated while not in her secret identity. When she's Copycat, she wears mostly black with faded purple accents (I'm still working on the details of her outfit), clip-on cat ears, and a well-fitting mask.
Personality: When she's her normal self, she's a little quiet, has a thing for classical books, and is generally unnoticed. She listens to others, and can be convinced very easily. When donning the mask of her secret identity, she's cocky, has a better-than-you attitude, and is overall playful and mischevious.
Powers: She can change form into any human she sees. She can mimic their voices perfectly, but cannot use their powers if they are a superhero. When changing back to her usual self after, her eyes will be an odd yellow (this lasts for about twenty minutes). She also has very basic, weak flight (she cannot go that high, but can rise fairly quickly).
Strengths: She's a friggen supervillain. While she's not even that harmful, the media has inflated her reputation far too much, making many civilians fear her. Her flight works well when it's time to make an exit, and her imitation skills are good for blending into crowds.
Weaknesses: Let's be real here; her powers suck when it comes to fending off superheroes. If you have decent powers, she's not going to be able to do much but run. When she's not in her secret identity, she's too easily scared.
Background: In her home city, she was a minor villain, just stealing a purse or two (or three) (or thirty) (or a good hundred every now and then) (or--I'll stop), or conducting an ocasional heist with the aid of her powers, and using them for monetary gain. Her form of justifying this was by assuming superiority over normal humans due to her powers (this is important). She's currently 'on vacation' in this city, as her father is on a business trip in the area, and will probably continue theft while she is here.
Other: I had no idea where to put this, but an important thing about her character is the pushover attitude that she normally has. It carries over into her villain self, as she will follow, obey, and do the dirty work of other villains for a small cut or even nothing at all. If they want her help, they get it. While she has the reputation of a dangerous villain, she does the work of a henchman a lot.

Secret Identity: I suck at code names. Mirage
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jeremy has light blue eyes and dark lashes, pinkish skin, dark caremel hair that looks almost brown that is very short, almost shaved. Strong jaw with some stubble, a longish face, and a fit stature. He stands about 5'11'' He wears mostly t shirts, and short sleeved button ups, jeans or sweat shirts. He doesnt have a super suit
Personality: Laid back and pretty chill, independant (he is a good leader when he needs to be), he is afraid of challanges, such as relationship challanges not the physical kind, he is a good conversationalist and caring. However, he wasn't always that way. He tried to help other people, however he didn't come through and cared more about his own well being. Now he has grown through his previous experiences.
Powers: He can turn invisible and has super reflexes.
Weaknesses: He tends to overthink things, although he doesnt ever show when he needs help. He has a rough background and isn't a picture perfect person.
Strengths: He has learned to care deeply for others, and not himself.
Background: This is going to be super quick! Before he had powers, Jeremy had been in trouble with the police in his early twentys mostly, and earned an bad rep. After he stumbled upon the powers (I dont know how he did yet), he began using them for himself. Although he had a near death experience which gradually showed him to live for others and not himself. So now he helps the police out with some situations (However he is not allowed to tell anyone about it, because hes not actually part of the Police dept.) and works a job as a web designer

I have some time now, so I'll start.

It had been a peaceful day, for the most part. There had been a robbery over on Lincoln Avenue, but it has been pretty minor and I figured it wasn't really worth my time. It was something the police could deal with.
I walked down an alley way, heading out of the city, towards my small house just outside the city limits. I couldn't help but notice all the brightly colored graffiti.
I also noticed a smaller, less colorful message hidden amongst the colors. It read:
Evil Rising. Supers needed.
There was a list of names beneath it. I read through them quickly, and couldn't help but take in a sharp inhale when I saw my name. Now, I don't really hide my identity like most supers, but it was still strange to see my name spray painted onto a wall. The final sentence said Thanks from Hailee. Meet me here Friday, at midnight.
That was tonight. I decided to risk it, and so I went home to change into my suit.

The sun was slowly setting. I wandered through an alley on my way back to my apartment. As I did, I noticed a small spraypainted message on the wall. It was a request for supers. I skimmed over it, not too interested.
But then, I saw my name. That scared me, because I did everything possible to hide my true identity. It finished by someone named Hailee requesting everyone to meet them here at midnight on Friday.
Which was tonight.
I was confused and frightened, so I figured that I needed to discover what was going on. And what better way to do that than go to the meeting?

age: early 20's
gender: female
appearance: She has short dark blue hair and dark eyes, and the left side of her body is almost entirely metal. Her hero outfit is all black and dark grey-- black tank top, dark grey leggings, black utility belt, black combat boots. She carries her sniper rifle (which she's named Sam) with her when she's on a mission.
personality: TBD? I'd rather develop her personality as I write her if that's ok with you guys.
powers: She has enhanced agility and reflexes, and her bionic arm is very strong. She also has night vision from the bionic half of her face.
strengths: I'm pretty sure I just listed those
weaknesses: She struggles with depression and kinda PTSD, if she sees or hears something that reminds her of her past she becomes easily distracted from whatever she's doing.
background: She joined the military as soon as she could to escape abusive parents. During a battle, she was hit by the blast from a grenade, which damaged the entire left side of her body. Someone from the enemy army found her on the battlefield and brought her to a lab where they enhanced her with cybernetics. Now she's kinda a vigilante, and she's trying to figure out about her past-- she lost much of her memory when she was captured and enhanced. Hopefully that's not too dark... I get carried away with backstories lol
