Empty Seas RP!
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Empty Seas RP!
Empty Seas RP!
I know. *sigh* Another RP . . . more responsibility for me and others. But hey, they're super fun right?
---
The ocean is everlastingly empty.
No gently waving anenomes, no flamboyant fish with all the rainbow trapped beneath their scales --
Perhaps it was here once; it's gone now. And they, that is, the children, have never known it. All they know is straight blue and dark rock under their scaly feet. That and the white-stuff, the only living thing besides them, that clings to the rocks. On this they and their families feed.
When the serpents come, as they know they will . . . . . There will be no hope for any of the tribes, not Kolet, not Brayza, not Taxad, not Jae.
Some of their children, their finned, sclay, but still humanoid children (not merrows! Akwin knows not merrows!) must depart, go far to the east, and seek the serpents' lair -- ask them not to come.
Or seek the shore. But which of the Ocean Ones would dare do that?
---
Heh yeah whatever I came up with all that just now . . . hope it's OK.
First of all, THE RULES (yeah this RP has rules, yo!)
1) No swearing, of course, even in small ways (but you can make up pretend swear words especially for Ocean Ones to use; "sharkscale!" "fishbite!", etc.)
2) A maximum of 2 characters from each tribe, and they must be between the ages of 10 and 18.
The sheet is as follows:
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Tribe:
Appearance (I hope what I gave above is enough for how they're supposed to look):
Personality:
Other:
And here's my charrie:
Name: Ashva Orll
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Tribe: Taxad (which means only one more charrie for Taxad!!)
Appearnce: Light green/white scales, in fact almost minty. Long red wavy hair (it's hard to see he's a boy at first). Deep blue eyes, pointed chin, thin, large fins.
Personality: He doesn't like to let his feelings show. He can be pretty sharp, even among friends, and at other times he's really nice. He is quite proud and considers Taxad the best tribe of the Empty Seas.
Other: He would rather search for the shores of didtant lands than beg for help "from wretched sea stalkers!"
So long. See you in the Empty Seas.

I would post, but JITHY IS NOT GIVONG ME MUCH TO WORK WITH! RESPOND TO ME!
(March 30, 2019 - 3:20 pm)
Ashva~
A weird taste fills my mouth. It's water, but - not.
"It's weird, i don't like it."
"Ok." She shrugs. "I just wondered what you thought."
(March 31, 2019 - 3:02 pm)
I put the container back in my stuff-holder. Then I realize something.
"Wait, you said the other Jaens were looking for me, right?" I ask Ashva.
He shrugs. "Yeah, but mostly the white stuff."
"Rockbites!" I pack up my stuff frantically, "I gotta find them! Thanks Ashva, nice talking with you!" I turn around and begin to swim away, but then I turn around and look at Ashva.
"Promise we'll talk again?" I say, holding my pinkie out, "Before we go to the lair, of course."
Ashva hesitates, then crosses his pinkies with mine.
"Promise."

I swim past all the rocks and find my mother with Polis.
"There you are!" Mom scolds, grabbing my arm," Me and Polis were scared out of our minds!"
"I wasn't scared at all!"
"You cried, Polis."
"Yeah, but not that much."
I roll my eyes. Typical Polis.
"Sorry Mom," I shrug, "I was...busy. Talking to someone."
"That's not an excuse for leaving out of nowhere!" She scolds again as I cringe. FinMarrow, she found out. "You are 18, one of the oldest on this expedition, and act like Polis at times!"
"I can act responsible when I want," I counter angrily. I'm right. I have shown my strength in times of trouble, even when I was Polis's age.
"I know this, and that proves my point," she responds coolly, "You need to know when you have to be serious, and not just at the last minute!"
"Tell that to the people who chose me!"
"They believe you can do this, Vicky," she begins to show a calmer tone, almost beg-like, "We all know you can. Please, just do this for us."
I sigh. She always uses the "do it for us" excuse.
"Alright, fine. I'll try my best."
Probably because she knows it works.
"I'll try my best too!" Polis grins, surprising us both by appearing.
"Oh!" My mother laughed nervously, "Yes Polis! You're...also going..." There was a moment of silence, and confusion for Polis.
"That reminds me!" Mom burst out, shoving Polis towards me, "I wanted you to take care of her! Me and her mother are going to go out for food. Have fun you two!" She swam off, probably to find my Aunt. Typical.
I look down at Polis. "Well," I begin, "Whaddya wanna do, little gal?"

I think you should go next . . . .
(April 3, 2019 - 7:48 pm)
I rack my brain. What do I want to do? There are so many awesome things to do on my last day before the mission.
"What were you doing that made you take so long?" I wonder out loud.
Vicky shifts her feet. "That's not important," she hedges.
Now that I know Vicky's keeping secrets, I absolutely have to know. "C'mon! Tell me! Please!"
"But I asked you a question first. Shouldn't you answer that question?"
I ponder this for a second. Then, an idea bursts into my brain. "I want to go where you were that made you take so long! Will you take me there? Please?"
Vicky squirms. She looks like she's about to say no.
I stand closer to her and give her the biggest sad-eyed face I have. "Pleeeeease?" I whine.
~~~
Will Vicky say yes or no, Ella Starburst?
Autumn said thai! Is she in the mood for thai food?
I think for a bit. There's no way that I can show her my hiding spot; it's for my eyes only. But she'll be so disappointed if I don't...
Then, I remember another place I found on my travels. A place Polis will love.
"All right," I grin, "But only if you tell no one!"
She puts a finger to her lips. "I promise," she says in the loudest whisper ever.
I hold her hand tighter and swim out beyond the ocean. We swim for about five minutes before we reach the place. Polis gasps in delight.
It's a collection of rocks like all the others in our village, but they aren't. These ones were white, orange, and brown. They were twisty and turny, swerving into all sorts of shapes. A chair, a gate, a house, and my personal favorite-
"A FISH!" she swam over to the clownfish shaped rock and sat on it, playing with its dorsal fin. I smiled and swam over to the house-shaped rock, where I had cracked off a bit of rock shaped ike a small child.
OK guys could we maybe start steering the plot near the start of the story, so that Rogue Wildling can introduce (her?) character and all?
Thank you!
(April 5, 2019 - 5:39 pm)
Ack! What I meant was start of the journey, not story.
(April 5, 2019 - 5:40 pm)
Sure, Jithkeeper!
~
Before I know it, the water is getting darker by the second and Vicky is tugging on my arm.
”Polis, it’s getting dark. We should go,” she says softly.
”Awww,” I grumble, but I get up and follow her back to camp.
After an unappealing dinner of white stuff, Vicky’s mom herds us off to bed, insisting that we need our sleep for our busy day tomorrow. But I can’t sleep. Scales, I’m so excited! I wonder what the other tribes and the serpents will be like!
After a long, sleepless night, the water lightens again and it’s time to go.
~
This post is a bit short, but I wanted to hurry the story along.
Hey Summer! Did you know that in Greece, a Polis is a city-state! Pretty cool, eh?
(April 6, 2019 - 5:03 pm)
Wow, I didn't know that! That is pretty cool!
<thpo>
Autumn didn't know that, either!
(April 6, 2019 - 8:45 pm)
so much for hurrying it along! I had no idea people were waitng for me to make the next move, I was waiting for Rogue!
Anyway...
I packed up my things in my stuff-holder. Me and Ashva met a few times after pour first meeting. I even showed him my hiding spot: he was pretty amazed. What can I say? I've been working on it for a while. It was heartbreaking to leave it behind, but I kept some things; the syrup, the necklace, and a few others. We agreed to meet once more before the journey, at my place.
I swam out, careful not to wake mom. I creep quietly through the dark water, watching all over everywhere, before losing my nerve entirely and swimming off rapidly. As a result, I bump into a black-scaled girl whom I haven't seen before. I am frightened by her spears and apoligize immediately.
"Sorry," I respond frantically, " I wasn't watching where I was going... Um, who are you?"
(April 9, 2019 - 4:43 pm)
Um, Serpent isn't anywhere near the surface at the moment, and definitely not close to the village. I'll do her intro, just have all charries looking for the Serpents in a group and about two 'days' out.
(April 10, 2019 - 2:40 pm)
woops! Sorry, forget my whole storyline. I can't post right now, cause I'm doing homework, but I'll make sure to correct it!
zenn
thanks, Ted, I'm a little stressed. Glad to see you care.
zuoi!
No idea what the means Frank, but thanks too.
