There's laughter comi
There's laughter coming from the Dining Hall, where plates and glasses, stone floors and wooden benches gleam and twinkle.
You can hear it in the bedrooms, almost hear it in the highest lonely tower. The prisoners there wish they could join, but they cannot.
But we don't need to think about them for now. Let us rejoice, and be happy; we're alive, and that's a good enough reason to celebrate!
The smell of the delicious food drifts outside, making the guards' stomachs rumble and their mouths water. But they will get their share in time. For now, they converse merrily, laughing as the sun sets.
The princess hurries down the hallway, lilac skirts brushing the rich red carpets, wondering what the night holds.
All is safe. All is sound. Nothing could go wrong, as long as you have good food and dear friends around you.
The servants bustle in from the busy, busy, kitchen, setting down more food. The king laughs; the queen is beautiful in the candlelight.
You are delirously happy.

I stand guard, presiding over the great party with ease. There is nothing wrong, but why do I feel creeping dread? When one of my men, Trisk his name is, runs to me with a note I realize why. A prisoner has escaped, a wanderer has come, a question has been asked.
Will you save my home.
My hand runs over my forearm where the tattoo is as I say "Do we have eyes on them?"
Trisk answers on instinct "Not yet but we-" looks at me them, weighing my expression. "You're going after them aren't you?"
I do not respond, I only stalk off in the direction that he came from. I may not know my past, but I do know my future.
A gloved hand slides to a sword, it's pommel gleaming in the torchlight.
A curse ancient and strong begins to take hold.
Light flickers across a scar, jagged and brutal.
An answer to the question gleams in dark eyes as the Guard Captain descends the stairs to the dungeon.

OhMyGoodness that would be so cool!! It would be reallly cool if we made that a thing! Like an RP, Skilodge, SI, and kind of RR put together! IT'S A MASTERPIECE.
Also that's okay, Jithkeeper, we all get hyper once in a while. I technically shouldn't be 'pardoning' you since I mean that's what I used to do ALL THE TIME. CAPS ALL THE WAY, PEOPLE, PLUS EXCLAMATION MARKS! (I almost wrote "EXPLANATION MARKS" which would be weird but not technically a nonexistent word, so) YUS I think that would be a cool idea.
Hey Admins, did RRs and SIs and Skilodges, and RPs and whatnot appear just because one CBer invented it, and then everyone sort of picked it up? (T.O.N., anyone? I mean, I THUNK T.O.N. made Skilodges, or at least one of the first, but I could be wrong. I also could have spelled T.O.N's name wrong. So many possibilities) OR is it like the Admins have to verify it, or what? Just wondering!
I think RRs and RPs are generic formats that existed long before Chatterbox. I'm not sure about SIs. I would say that Ski Lodges being known by that name is unique to Chatterbox, though that format may be derivative of mysteries such as those by Agatha Christie. I think you're right about TON (The Omnipotent Narrator), although in the early days of Chatterbox we also had TNO (The Nearly Omnipotent? if I remember right).

We could call them Palace Perspectives, Castle Dungeons, Royal Stages... The possibilities are endless!
*Sigh* I have a really good idea that could become a 'thing', but it requires a lot of diligence from the participants, so I don't think the CB is ready for it yet. None of the CBers I know are diligent enough.

What? What? What is it? I personally have a problem with CBers being "diligent" (especially with CERTAIN RPS THAT THEY JOINED BUT HAVE ONLY MADE LIKE TWO CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE STORY EVEN AFTER THE PERSON WHO MADE THE RP SPECIFICALLY ASKED THEM TO POST MORE HINT HINT HINT HINT................)
