I'm back! In time for Halloween!
Boy, it's been a while! When was I last here, January?
Anyway, Time for a RP! A RP loosely based on the works of a certain author whose last name is King!
Welcome to the Overfeld Estate, once the manor of renowned scientist Alabaster Overfeld (who was almost certainly a madman, but we won't dwell on that). The estate, which was converted into a hotel in the early seventies, has seen many ups and downs--and gruesome deaths--is currently in the middle of one of those downs. There are only about six people in the entire hotel at the moment, and they aren't sure they should be staying at all, but the night is cold and the snow blocks the exits. One by one, they all notice that something is wrong with this place... or maybe with each other.
Okay, other info!
1. Each person is connected to a spirit haunting the hotel. The spirits are not benevolent in the least, and are pretty much just out to get you.
2. Alabaster Overfeld is dead.
3. Speaking of Overfeld, the man was known for his... erm... experiments. It is recommended that no one investigate his old laboratory.
4. Alabaster Overfeld is not alive.
5. Cats are not to be trusted here.
6. The hotel advises that everyone lock their doors at night.
7. Trust no one.
8. OVERFELD DIED IN 1945. HE IS NOT WATCHING YOU. GO BACK TO BED AND KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED TIGHTLY UNTIL SUNRISE.

Appearance: Pale, brown-undertone skin, almond eyes which are naturally brown (she is wearing blue contacts), black hair in a faux-hawk with fading blue dye clinging to the strands. She wears a loose white shirt and tight black pants, giving her the appearance of some sort of fluffed-up bird. She has one dimple, developed from smiling with only the right corner of her mouth. She wears blue lipstick and heavy eyeliner.
Personality: Min-seo Moon is a fearless explorer of the paranormal, and is writing a novel based on her findings around the world. She is almost always half-smiling; if she is not smiling, something bad is happening. Something very bad. She is very dramatic, and likes to make big entrances wherever she goes. She is easy to get along with, and very humorous.
Destination, before you were forced to stop at the hotel: Her destination WAS the hotel, actually! Armed with enough ghost-hunting tech to make Egon Spengler blush, she's making her way through the hallways one by one looking for weird goings-on!

PROMISE this is not a copy of Dr. Deryn Peters, though Theodore is a doctor
and has mutliple phobias. I made him up before seeing Peters, and his
personality is very different. If you'd rather that I change it, though, I can.
Name: Theodore Thimor
Age (20+, because you need to be old enough to be travelling by yourself): 24, so still in med school.
Appearance: Short dirty blonde hair aways immaculately combed to compliment the
upscale suits that Theodore always wears. He didn't pack anything clothes other than
suits because he's a dork. His eyes are very light blue and almost
always wide like a deer in the headlights. His posture is extremely
rigid. He looks short, but he's actually 5'11"
Personality: Well, he's probably the only psychiatric to correctly
diagnose themselves with seven legitamite phobias and not even have
Medical Students' disease. He's phasmophobic, cleithrophobic (great for
a haunted hotel, I'm sure), thanatophobic (the fear of death itself-
even better for a haunted hotel), trypanobhobic (the fear of
needles), pseudodisphagic (the fear of choking), thalassiphobic
(oceans), and mildly nyctophobic (the fear of the dark).
He's ludicrously jumpy, and inspects every surface before sitting down.
He has a thousand tiny nervous habits. Theodore also has a genetic mutatian
that makes it so that he needs only six hours of sleep a night, but he
usually spends his extra time with all of the lights on watching his back. The only
time he ever mildly chills out is when he has a patient session or a
crush, the latter at which point he idolises the object of his
affections to insane heights, wooing her with gifts and such. He's also
prone to dizzy fits induced by all of his phobias.
Destination, before you were forced to stop at the hotel: A psychiatric lecture on iatrophobia.

What the spirit connected to you is like/why it's out to get you/what it
wants: His psychotic childhood psychiatrist, Dr. Laurel Vergiftetwein, who
was obssessed with his case. She turned out to be insane and died under
suspicious circumstances. Her ultimate goal is to kill him, which she
believes is the only way to put him out of his misery.
Crushes/people you'd like to be shipped with: He's straight, but other than that I don't have a preference. Any suggestions?

Name: Sebastian Yarrow
Age: 35
Appearance: He is a deep-sea fisherman. He has rugged skin, tanned and hardened by the wind and sea. Piercing black eyes that are usually squinting. He has short, dark-brown hair that is never seen due to being covered by a navy-blue fisherman's beanie. He has stubble but not the stereotypical fisherman's beard. He scowls a lot.
Personality: To put it shortly: He does not want to be where he is. His main motivation is to find his family, and this detour is just the latest in a long series of mishaps. He's pretty much seen it all, and acts a LOT older than he actually is, sometimes coming off as a grouchy old man. He will give anything to protect his loved ones, even his own life. He has a lot of stories.
Destination: His family. Sebastian spent the last five years off the coast of [is this in America? If not, insert country here], braving the storms and tangling with bass, tuna, and the occasional giant squid. After recieving a letter revelaing his wife's terminal illness, he immediately decided to return home to be with his family. However, the years at sea have clouded his mind and he can't quite remember the way home....
Bravery: 7/10
Survival skills: 6/10
Sense of self-preservation: 2/10
Spirit: His spirit is invisible, even to him, but has a beautiful voice of what seems to be a young Irish woman. It only sings, never speaks, and he can only hear it when he's facing due west. It keeps telling him to "bring me the key from deep in the sea". He has no idea what that means.
Crushes/ships: He's married, so nada.

Name: Sergeant Rosalind Robark (Most people just call her Sergeant)
Age (20+, because you need to be old enough to be travelling by yourself): 90
Appearance: When she was young, she had 40s style brown hair, and fair skin. Now that she is older, her hair is bright white, but she still has the same adventurous brown eyes. She is about 5 ft 6', with a stocky hourglass figure.
Personality: Don't let her age fool you, she is incredibly brash and adventurous. She is very smart and wise, and enjoys giving people advice. A lot of people think she's crazy, but she really isn't. She is very loyal to people she cares about, and she would never betray them.
Destination, before you were forced to stop at the hotel: Nowhere, she was just travelling around on her vespa.

Rosalind was a sergeant in the navy, and she served in World War II. She fell in love with Laurie Carter, who was a pilot on the ship she served on. Because of racial divides during the time (Laurie was African American, and she is white), they weren't allowed to get married. Laurie died during battle, and his plane was never recovered. Hence, Rosalind's fear of flying. She is convinced that his spirit is out there somewhere, and she is searching the world for him.

Name: Oliver "Oli" Yelquan
Age (20+, because you need to be old enough to be travelling by yourself): 21
Appearance: Oliver has dark brown hair with tips that fade to bronze, tan skin that suggests that he loves the outdoors, wise emerald eyes, he is average height and thinner than he probably should be but he doesn't seem to mind. Oli wears a dark green shirt with a brown vest over it, kakhi pants and brown hunting boots.
Personality: Often courteous, sometimes takes risks, ambitious, curious, generally self-controlled, rarely trusting, honest, loyal, sympathetic, altruistic(selfless) unless he freezes like a deer in headlights, rarely optimistic, Observant, logical, somewhat shy, he is somewhat emotionaly unstable.
Destination, before you were forced to stop at the hotel: He was going back to his house

Okay, here it is!
Name: Phoebe Blanc
Age: 23
Appearance: Choppy red hair down to about her chin, splashes of freckles across her cheeks, palskin, but not unhealthy looking, blue eyes, but one of them is noticably darker than the other.
Personality: Reckless and uncaring. She's really very smart, but she never cared all that much in school. She was the kid who sat in the back of the classroom and made jokes during class. She was always really popular and did stupid things for attention. Really reckless, puts herself into dangerous situations out of boredom. During college, she evened out a little bit, but she's still got that dangerous streak in her.
Destination, before you had to stop at the hotel: She just graduated college, and she and her friends have been planning this road trip for a long time. The planned to travel all across the country, doing touristy stuff along the way. However, all of her friends were somehow unable to attend the trip, whether it be a family emergency, or they got sick, or whatever. Instead of calling it off, though, she decided to go alone. She was just starting when she was forced to stop at the hotel.
Bravery: 9. She's got no fear, except spiders, but she doesn't tell people that.
Survival Skills: 5. She knows the basic camping and hiking stuff, but nothing too elaborate.
Sense of self preservation: 1. As I said, she's completely reckless. She will not stop to think for a moment before jumping into something potentially dangerous.
Spirit: A tall, silver, genderless figure who follows her everywhere and tries to tempt her into doing crazy, reckless, and dangerous things... not that she needs much tempting.
Crushes: I don't know, AW, do you want to ship her with Alexa?
