Personality: Marilyn is smart for her age and doesn’t like it to seem like she’s not. She won’t accept anyone else’s ideas (even if her’s are actually wrong). However, if she takes a liking to someone she will listen and respect their ideas. Deep down, there’s a soft side that just wants to do the right thing.

Background Info: Her parents always tried to make her a perfect person. When Marilyn was younger, she obeyed. However as she got older she wanted to pursue her own ideas and experiment with the powers she was starting to understand. The only act of rebellion she did not control was being a lesbian, something everyone around her thought was wrong. The institute is her first real freedom.

here's my charrie!

Name: Katrina Klaus, goes by Kat.

Age (High school-aged, so 14-18): 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: she has a braid down to her waist, but close to the top it ends and gives way to curly red hair that kinda looks like Pidge's. She has blue eyes flecked with gold, she's five foot six, and she wears sweatpants, a t-shirt, and a black hoodie. Oh, and her skin is dark-ish.

Personality: TBD?

Home Country (It can be anywhere in the word, but I do request they are able to speak English for obvious reasons):Scotland, because i like writing the accent.

Superpower: she controls shadows, and can form them into solid objects. However, the solid objects will dissipate if they leave the room and she stops concentrating on them. Also, controlling shadows, -not to mention forming objects- tires her out quicker.

Other (non-super) Talents:  drawing, writing, basketball, dodgeball.

Weapon of Choice: the only permanent shadow object she's ever made, if she made another one, she'd die from exhaustion.

Background Info: Orphan, has been in an orphanage, was overjoyed when she made it into the Institute.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Black hair, short in the back, longer and parted in the front, that frames his squarish face.  He wears a pair of equally squarish glasses that never seem to come off. He is short and thin for his age. He is quite pale and usually wears all black.

Personality: He is very reserved and almost never smiles. He often meditates due to the large amount of stress he is constantly under. He often wishes his life was more normal, but still tries his best at everything he does, and makes the best of every situation. He has trouble making friends but those who manage to get through to him will find he is very loyal.

Home Country: Taiwan (learned English in school, is fluent)

Superpower: He is able to see and communicate with ghosts and spirits.

Other (non-super) talents: Tai Chi, poetry, and some baking.

Weapon of Choice: An ancient chain whip that is haunted with the spirit of a fallen warrior, who he can command to do his bidding.

Background Info: His sister, Lin, is a renowned alumnus of Candrama, and is part of a pro super team. He got accepted into Candrama automatically, simply because of her legacy. His parents are expecting him to be just as great as she was, but he wants nothing more than an ordinary life. Still, he will honor their wishes and attend the school.

Name: Eryn Hayes

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Short blonde hair down to her chin that's slightly choppy, caramel brown eyes, lots of freckles all cross her nose and cheeks. She's about average height, maybe a little on the shorter side. She has light skin, and usually wears t-shirts in pastel colors, leggings, and sneakers. She's never seen without her brown baseball cap, except in class, of course, if she isn't allowed.

Personality: Eryn is very cheerful and very optimistic. She's resilient, but emotional, so if she's hurt physically, it doesn't bother her much, but if she's hurt by someone emotionally, it takes a long time for it to go away. She makes friends easily, and is very loyal to them. She's really good with Language Arts, and loves words, but she struggles with Math and other subjects. As far as shipping, she likes both genders.

Home Country: United States. She lives in Massachusetts.

Superpower: Mirrors. She can break them from far away, as long as she can see them, and control the shards, she can use them to see what's happening in other places, she can manipulate what people see in them, and, though it saps her energy, she can occasionally manipulate everything around her so that it's backwards, like in a mirror. So, if you tried to raise your left hand, your right hand would go up instead. She can only do this for short periods of time, since it exhausts her.

Other Talents: She's athletic, and a very fast runner especially.

Weapon of Choice: A dagger.

Background Info: Her family discovered her powers when she was three, when she started crying in the middle of the night and every mirror in the house shattered. Her parents removed every mirror from the house until she was ten and could control her powers more. Even then, she wasn't allowed to use them, for fear of hurting herself or others. Her brother, Anthony, would sneak her small hand mirrors to practice on whenever she could. She and her brother are both runners, and excel in track and feild at school. Ant went away to college on a track scholarship just before Eryn was accepted into Candrama. Before he left, he gave her his baseball cap, the one she now always wears. He had gotten it as a gift from their grandfather, who'd passed away a few years earlier, when he won his first race. It's very special to both of them. Eryn misses her brother a lot, but is so excited to be going to Candrama.

Gender: Non-binary; uses the pronouns they/them/theirs

Appearance: Average height with a lithe, angular body. Auburn hair frames their face in loose curls, ending a little above their shoulders. A distinctively strong boned face softened by childish cheeks, a rounded nose, and full lips. Brown eyes that never seem to focus on a single point for too long. Perpetual grin. 

Personality: Cheerful and mischievous, yet withdrawn. Is generally good-natured, but may seem distant at times. Doesn't like working with a team and can be resistant to orders, even if they make sense. Can be very standoffish, particularly when under a lot of pressure.

Home Country: Finland

Superpower: Aerokinesis, which means they can manipulate the air. They can make gusts of wind, can quiet breezes, and can even hover for about five seconds or so. Not very good at controlling it yet and wil occasionally create bursts of wind when emotional.

Other (non-super) Talents: Is a good cook and likes making 'creative' things. These concoctions range from delicious to inedible (but Ripley will always pretend to enjoy it for appearance's sake). They like drawing plans for crazy inventions that may or may not ever work. Sometimes they attempt to actually make them, though usually not. Loves mountain climbing and all snow sports.

Weapon of Choice: Knows how to use a large staff for defending their herd of reindeer against predators, as well as a rifle for hunting. 

Background Info: Grew up in a small community in the snowy mountains of Finland, herding reindeer and listening to their great uncle's tales about the exofauna and the powerful heroes who protected civilians from them. Bored and wishing for more excitement, they decided to travel to the place where these stories started, where the heroes were made: Candrama Institute. Due to these stories Ripley is very idealogical and believes that all people with superpowers ought to be noble and brave warriors.

Name- Ryan Feras

Age (High school-aged, so 14-18)- 13, she skipped a grade (I’m pretty sure everyone else’s charries are 16, so her older sister will be sixteen but not involved much in the story. Or she could be a younger sister of one of your charries?

Gender- Female

Appearance- Long, stick-straight dark brown hair in thick and glossy high ponytail. Light tan skin, dark brown eyes. Favorite outfit is tight jeggings, black flats, and an off-the-shoulder black and white thinly striped shirt.

Personality- Ryan is smart, friendly, fearless of just about everything except for spiders, and friendly. She makes friends very easily, and she’s on student council and debate team. She aspires to be president one day, after being a lawyer, and then being a judge. However, she is allergic to just about everything (dust, mold, nuts, dairy, gluten, lactose) and can have a breakdown if she eats/breathes/touches those things.

Home Country (It can be anywhere in the word, but I do request they are able to speak English for obvious reasons)- Ryan’s mom came over from France, so although she speaks native English, her mom mainly speaks French so she is fluent in it.

Superpower- Ryan can turn anything that she draws or that someone she knows draws into a real thing. She can also trap people in paper as drawings, but having not mastered her powers yet fully, she hesitates to do that in case she can’t get them out.

Other (non-super) Talents- Ryan loves basketball, even though she’s short, and she’s an awesome sprinter. She is logical, and loves to play her flute and her piccolo. Ryan also is an amazing artist (but not only because of her power).

Weapon of Choice- Whatever she can quickly draw.
