Its the year of 1781, one year away from the end of the Revolutionary war. On one particularily cold October morning, Timothy Joval, a retired soldier, wanders into a beautiful large estate, miles long and stretching scapes overlooking the frozen Potomac River. While wandering this beauitiful estate, he finds a huge mansion on a rather large hill. It's the utter definition of elegance. Overtaken by curiosity, Timothy decides to explore the many brick buildings and gardens. He only planned to be on the land for a day, then leave, but a blizzard made him take lodging in the stable. Only one night thought he. But fate would not have it so. Plunged head first into a journey of life or death. They need only to save the one person who had saved so many others.
Timothy had not just stumbled onto an estate. He stubled onto the estate.
Mount Vernon, the home of General George Washington.

SO! The premise is that Timothy, a soldier who was wounded when in the war, finds himself thrown into the trip of a lifetime with a group of servants to stop an assassination plot to kill General Washington. Through this Timothy must strive to gain the trust of the other servants and to trust others. Or America might not be what it is today.

You all will be playing the hired hands/servants and/or a few others. Here's a list of who you can be.
1) Two servants in the house. One younger and one a bit older (The age of a head servant at least 25, but I may lower that)
2) One stable girl/guy. Whatever works for you.
3) One young Lieutenant. Maybe a Captain.
4) I'm thinking two other roles that you guys want to fill in. Make it something believable but have fun with it!
So in all about six or seven people are allowed in this RP... maybe more, if you find the right spot.

I was thinking hired assassin that goes along the lines of servant girl who thinks that the General killed her father. Whoever wants the General assassinated knows what she thinks and uses it to their advantage...

Ok, now for my Timothy:
Name: Timothy Joval
Age: 28 but looks older
Gender: M
Rank: Travler/tramp
Appearance: Very ragged. He has very dark tan skin from the sun and his hands are tough like a hide from years of working as a sailor. Caramel blond peppered hair, short, and dark soft but tired eyes. He has quite a bit of stubble. He’s tall and very able bodied...Sort of. As for what he wears, he has a thin blue flannel button up shirt, a very ragged army jacket and brown trousers, all of which are tattered and worn. His shoes are worn to the sole, and he has a pair of light grey socks, but so very thin. Great for the summer, but aweful for the winter. And last but definitely not least, he’s missing his fore arm. From the shoulder down he can’t feel it, because of numerous wounds to it.
Personality: He’s always been a solitary person. A loner. Ever since he could remember he had preferred to be away from the other people mostly because they bullied him so horribly. But he always had his brother to lean on. They were inseperable. He believes in justice, is adamant For America to become its own country. He often feels regret, however on his past life decisions. He’s kind though, but mostly comes out intimidating to children but weak to others. Mostly because of his hard life.
Backstory: Blah blah blah grew up with brother, very close. Has no parents. Made a living, if you could call it that, by living on the high sees and being a sailor, and was very mistreated. He later came to America, a year or so before the war started and than became a soldier with his brother Jacob. Jacob was separated and they lost sight of each other until Tim became almost fatally injured and found his brother slowly dying. They only had a day to talk until Jacob died. Apparently Jacob a few days before Tim coming to the medic, Washigton had visited and actually talked to some of the soldiers. Apparently Jacob had talked to him, and actually met him. A few weeks after Jacob's death, Timothy was no longer able to help in any way, so he had to leave the army. A few months later this RP takes place

Name: Melody Armenger
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Rank (Servant, etc): Lower servant/maid
Appearance: A british girl who grew up in the States so she doesn't have much of an accent. Blonde-brown hair tucked carefully into her servant bonnet with some whisps of hair floating out from behind her ears, green eyes, fair skin.
Personality: Ambivert. Kind hearted but easily irritated. Compassionate to everybody but her most hated enemies, of which she has one. Hides her emotions easily but feels them rather stongly. Doesn't know if she has the gut to kill the general.
Backstory: Was taken in by the general after her father went mysteriously missing in action. Nobody trusts her much except her friend, who is one of the other working hands in Mount Vernon. Somebody said that they know that the General killed her father, and that she will be rewarded for killing him.
Other: @Tux Cat how old is Timothy? If he's like 17 (They actually drafted boys that young) then do you want to ship him with Melody? That would be so cute! *Dreaming about how cute that ship would be*

Appearance: A tall, lean man with grey hair. Tired but kind brown eyes.
Personality: Soft hearted but firm, probably an INFJ-A.
Backstory: Wounded in battle, which is why he limps so badly. Before the war he was a servant.
Other: Tries to find the best in everybody, so he doesn't suspect Melody at all, although he still doesn't trust her very much because she's british.

K then. Yeesh, lessee... What spots would be open? The girl or boy who works with the dogs? Or would that fit into the role of hunter's apprentice? Man, I was one of the first people to join but now everyone else is taking all the spots available...

Rank: Uhhh... I dunno. I want her to be one of the servants or something, but I guess Tux makes the call on that... Help here please?
Appearance: Medium-long, straight brown hair, a relatively pale complexion, expressive deep brown eyes, very pretty, short and petite, thin.
Personality: Introverted, very smart, seems kind of withdrawn, because that's how losing her mother affected her. She's very sensitive about topics close to how her mother died. If someone casually says the words "accident" or "tragedy", or something like that, it really bothers her, and she refuses to go anywhere near a horse. She's probably too serious for someone her age, and may seem slightly fearful and shy, but isn't afraid to protect herself or someone else. Once she trusts someone, she really trusts them, and it would be very, very hard to earn that trust back if it were to be broken. As a general rule, Lucy is patient, but certain things make her flare up, and she does have a kind of temperamental side. When she's really angry, she's really angry.
Backstory: Lucy's parents immigrated from Wales when she was about a year old, but to be brief, her family was very poor and couldn't pay off all the debt from the house they bought in Vermont. Then the father joined the army, leaving Lucy's mother to try and pay off the money, but she died in a tragic accident when trying to deal with a skittish horse that she had to take care of for one of her jobs. That left only Lucy to try and make up for what her parents owed. A 12-year-old could only do so much, so she ended up becoming an indentured servant on the farm of the person who sold her parents their house. From there she ended up being transferred to General Washington's estate, since the person I mentioned was a relative of Washington's, and that's basically where she is now, so.
Other: Obviously Lucy's from Wales, so she speaks Welsh, and has the accent. The Dark Is Rising series describes the accent as "lilting". There was another word it used too, but I can't remember what it was.
