The Revolution: A Role PLay
Its the year of 1781, one year away from the end of the Revolutionary war. On one particularily cold October morning, Timothy Joval, a retired soldier, wanders into a beautiful large estate, miles long and stretching scapes overlooking the frozen Potomac River. While wandering this beauitiful estate, he finds a huge mansion on a rather large hill. It's the utter definition of elegance. Overtaken by curiosity, Timothy decides to explore the many brick buildings and gardens. He only planned to be on the land for a day, then leave, but a blizzard made him take lodging in the stable. Only one night thought he. But fate would not have it so. Plunged head first into a journey of life or death. They need only to save the one person who had saved so many others.
Timothy had not just stumbled onto an estate. He stubled onto the estate.
Mount Vernon, the home of General George Washington.
~~~
SO! The premise is that Timothy, a soldier who was wounded when in the war, finds himself thrown into the trip of a lifetime with a group of servants to stop an assassination plot to kill General Washington. Through this Timothy must strive to gain the trust of the other servants and to trust others. Or America might not be what it is today.
~~~
You all will be playing the hired hands/servants and/or a few others. Here's a list of who you can be.
1) Two servants in the house. One younger and one a bit older (The age of a head servant at least 25, but I may lower that)
2) One stable girl/guy. Whatever works for you.
3) One young Lieutenant. Maybe a Captain.
4) I'm thinking two other roles that you guys want to fill in. Make it something believable but have fun with it!
So in all about six or seven people are allowed in this RP... maybe more, if you find the right spot.

MY NAME IS ROGUE NOT THE FRENCH WORD FOR RED!!! Sorry, I'm not actually angry it's just kind of weird how nobody spells my name right...
Some people misspell it, but not everyone. And some people make a lot of spelling/typing errors, not just your name.

Well, you said to be detailed!
Name: True Johnson
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Rank (Servant, etc): Stable girl
Appearance: True has long, light brown hair that's incredibly thick and super straight, and is always worn in a high ponytail. She has light skin and a small birthmark under her right eye. A long scar runs from her elbow to her wrist on her left arm, but is usually covered by the off-white long sleeve shirt she always wears with black leggings and knee-high black boots. True also wears a small key on a thin chain around her neck, and she wears a thin light pink dress, white cloth around her head, and lower black boots when she isn't working. Her right wrist is encircled by multiple string bracelets, each one with a seperate meaning.
Personality: True is fearsome, daring, and adventurous. She has a soft spot for young kids and for horses, and would do anything to get back to her sister and father. She's idependant, and it takes a while for her to learn to trust a new person. True is small, and she loves to sneak into places and gain new information, even if having that information is dangerous for her. Nobody knows about her fearless spirit, since she has been living on the estate for so long that she knows better than to tell others about her adventures. She has a border collie dog, an animal she found when it was injured. She calls it Stella, and she helps True with a lot of things. Many people don't traut True, because her mother was British and she has a slight accent, but once she talks to someone (if she talks to them at all), they will love her spirit and her kindness.
Backstory: True's mother was a British lady who came over to America and married her father. True was 7 when the Revolutionary War started, and her mother got taken away and, as far as True knows, killed. Her father and younger sister managed to escape and start a new life somewhere else, at least that's what True hopes. Her key necklace was the only of her possesions she was allowed to keep when she ran into the city. Eventually the head servant (I forget his name) found her and seeing how good she was with horses, got her the stable girl positon. She now lives in a shed next to the barn, where she keeps a roll of white twine to make bracelets. Each of her bracelets stands for someone she loves. The scar on her arm took place when she was young, when someone tried to teach her a lesson about her family.
Other: None for now, but when will we start writing? I'm so excited for this!

@Aspen
Sorry all the spots are getting taken up! What I understand is that you want a servant? She could be a cook or maid. That ok with you?
@Everybody else
Being British doesn't actually make them bad, or subject to mistrust. I think some very extreme ’Americans’ could also be born British, and people still respect them...
I think we can start when Darkking posts his sheet. Also if nobody will be the lieutenant, then he’all be a NPC
(July 29, 2018 - 8:14 pm)
@Aspen if you want you can adopt Wiliam Smith, my NPC head servant. :)
(July 29, 2018 - 9:49 pm)
Sorry this is so late! Also, I am switching the servant's gender to a boy because there are already a lot of girls.
Name: Ambrose Taylor
Age:18
Gender: Male
Rank (Servant, etc): House servant, specifically assigned to garden/grounds
Appearance: Tall, with tan skin from working out in the sun. Lithe and quick, and considerably strong. Has a reddish brown mass of curly hair and bright blue eyes. His nose is crooked from being broken once, and he has an eye patch on one eye from where he lost his eye in an accident a few years ago. He is missing his ring finger and pinky off of his right hand. Usually wears worn trousers and a loose white or light blue work shirt and boots.
Personality: Amiable and easy going with a quick wit and great sense of humor. Is very good with plants and a hard worker. Makes friends easily and is generally very trusting, but gets angry when people tease him or mock him for not being in the war. Bitter about his inability to fight in the war.
Backstory: Grew up on a small farm with his mother, father, and little sister Amity. When he was seven he lost his right eye and two fingers off his right hand in a farming accident. When he was thirteen his mother died in childbirth, the baby dieing as well. A year later their farm was taken away because they were unable to pay off their debts and they were sent to live as indentured servants at Mount Vernon. When the war rolled around, Ambrose was unable to fight because of his hand and eye, a fact that he is still angry about.
Other: Is very close to his sister, Amity, but doesn't really like his father.

Name: Fletcher Harlen
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Rank (Servant, etc): Hunter's Apprentice
Appearance: He kind of makes you think of a clock that can't keep proper time. He has large eyes the color of chestnuts, his curly, black hair goes down to his shoulders and is almost always kept down but when its hot out or he wants to look nice he puts it in a low ponytail. He is very tall and has a narrow build with tanned skin. He is originally from France so he can speak both french and english which can be useful at times. He is quite skilled with a bow, throwing daggers, and knives in general so he would be the first suspect.
Personality: Doesn't trust easily, he is a bit clumsy, quiet, focused, patriotic, mysterious, striking, persuasive, charismsatic, nimble, selfless, willful, gentle, artistic, calm, wise, intelligant, witty, active, agile, awkward, cumbersome, docile, gentle, intelligent, mild, nimble, noble, quick, reserved, ungraceful, unsocial, and withdrawn.
Backstory: He was born in France to a family that was relitavely well off but they wanted to go and start a new life in the brittish colonies. They got on a boat with several other families and started on their journy to the colonies but on the way they got stuck in a storm and their ship sank. Fletcher was only able to survive because he was playing hide and seek with a couple other kids and hid in a barrel. The master hunter, Gideon Brown, was visiting his brother's family when he saw the small Fletcher(he was about 5 at this time) lying on the beach, falling out of a barrel, and brought him back to his home. He and his wife nursed him back to health even though Gideon's brother objected profusely and basically adopted him since they always wanted a kid but nothing they tried to concieve one worked. He went back to Mount vernon with Gideon Brown(Yes thats the master hunter's name.) and became a hunters apprentice. Fletcher sometimes has nightmares of the horrible storm that drowned his family and almost killed him. Sometimes when people ask him about his parents he will space out and worry people , not on purpose of corse but because his memories resurfice and it scares him.
Other: Open to ships, speaks french, friends with Molly? Maybe? if so he calls her Petite fleur(Small flower) I'll make french in bold with the translations in parentheses next to it, also in bold. He calls everyone else Mon ami/s(my friendf)
Admins, is this okay? I'll just type normal words in bold if you're not fine with it.
(August 1, 2018 - 10:16 am)
Hey,@Tuxedo Kitten, can we pls start soon?
(August 1, 2018 - 4:34 pm)
BACK< BACK I SAY
(August 1, 2018 - 6:46 pm)
For historical accuracy, Washington should still be owning slaves. In his will, he said all his slaves would be freed upon his wife’s death (washington dies in 1799 and his wife freed the slaves January 1 1801 before she died about a year later)
I am unable to join, but this is a note for the roleplayers. History is ugly guys. The treaty has not been signed, so Washington should still be off at war i think.
(August 2, 2018 - 1:23 am)
Yes, that is true, Storm! I understand that, but at the same time this RP is obviously not going to be too historically correct. Also, Washington did actually come back to his house at least two times to plan attacks. So, he was there, just not long lol
@Leeli
The young lieutenant is open...
(August 2, 2018 - 1:22 pm)
Okay, great! Reserving the young lieutenant!
(August 2, 2018 - 10:08 pm)
Oooh this looks so cool, but I might be too late. Are there any spots left?
(August 2, 2018 - 12:39 pm)
Name: Flynn Kelly
Age: Recently turned 20
Gender: Male
Rank (Servant, etc): Young Lieutenant
Appearance: Tall, obviously strong, but not extremely muscular, has sharp features, slightly wavy brown hair with hints of red that goes nearly to his shoulders when it’s down, though he almost always keeps it in a ponytail. He has striking ice-blue eyes that tend to show lots of emotion, dark eyebrows and fair skin with a slight tan, as well as a smattering of freckles across his nose, from spending lots of time outdoors. He can appear a bit harsh at first glance, but has a contagious smile. He has a long scar starting at his jawline and running down to his collarbone that he doesn’t like to talk about, and he usually gets angry when anyone mentions it.
Personality: When he was younger, he was happy, carefree, and reckless. Now he’s been somewhat hardened by the war, making him more reserved, withdrawn, quiet, and calculating. He doesn’t trust easily, but when he does, he gives that person his full trust, and if they break it, he will most likely never trust them again. He holds grudges for a very long time. He hardly ever lets his emotions show, preferring to hide behind a shell of his real self. To those who take the time to get to know him, he’s more of himself, easygoing, quick-witted, and clever. He loves nature and being outside, and he’s most relaxed when he is. He often speaks or acts upon impulse and without thinking, a habit he’s trying to break. He’s a talented fighter, but hates fighting and being in the war, though he doesn’t admit this to anyone. Inside, he’s afraid, and he doesn’t want anyone to know it.
Backstory: Flynn grew up in Ireland with his parents and his older brother, who he’s very close to. His family immigrated to the colonies when he was five and his brother was seven and bought a small farm. Several years later, his father joined the army, followed shortly after by his brother. Flynn stayed with his mother, who had fallen terribly ill. He attempted to nurse her back to health, but she died late one evening as he knelt by her bedside. After her death, Flynn joined the army and became a lieutenant. When General Washington returned to his home to plan attacks, he brought along a few soldiers, including Flynn.
Other: He has an Irish accent.
@Aspen, do you want to ship him with Lucy?
@Alta, can Flynn and Ambrose be friends?
