Hi I'm Sam, I used to post a lot on here, and now I'm back. I thought for my first post back I'd start a medieval/fantasy rp.
There is a land called Peridot, where magic and myth are common. Running rampant in this land are knights, thieves, and adventurers, as well as monsters and mythical creatures.
The crown of the king of Peridot has been stolen, and the king poisoned, by a thief only known as Obsidian, who leads the Obsidian Gang, a gang of highly dangerous mercenaries and thieves. The royal famliy is offering 100,000 gold pieces to whoever can retrieve the crown and the cure to the poison.
Basically you can be anything you want, can have any magical pet you want, and you live in a medieval world where all this stuff is common. I've set up a little plot to get us going, because I know that it's always weirdly hard to start a story like this.
I don't really care how many people join, but I think once somewhere between 5-10 people post, I'll start the story.

Name: Ruby Imago

Appearance: flaming red hair, bright green eyes, tall
Role: blacksmith's apprentice, thief
Background: Ruby was born and raised in the Peridot city center. Her father is the royal blacksmith. He taught her his trade, and how to use the weapons he created. As she grew up she started to steal and became a very proficient thief. She wants to find the crown for the reward, and cares little about how dangerous the Obsidian Gang is.

Weapon: a short sword, and a knife, both made by her father
Magical Proficiency: dabbles in magic - she stole a spellbook from a warlock once, and she mainly just uses the spells in the book
Other: she has a black cat that stops by her house occasionally and is more or less her pet

Apperance: Tall girl, fair skin, pitch black hair, bright green eyes
Role: Adventurer, Rouge Sorceress
Background: Zendaya was raised as a free spirit in a small hut in the wilderness. Shortly after she was born, her father became king. She and her mother stayed behind. When she was eight, she stole the royal sorcersses spellbook and ran off into the woods.
Species: Human
Magical Proficiency: She is a pro at magic
Weapon: She has a bag her mother got as a child. When she needs it most, anything she wishes for appears in her bag.
Other: Her grandparent's spirits have been known to be appearing shortly before bad things happen.

Role: A Fallen Knight
Background: Abraham was an honored knight that served the King well. However, on the night the King's crown was stolen, Abraham fell sick to hallucinations and visions. After the King was posioned, he was dishonored and banished. Then, one night while Abraham was wandering the countryside, he collapsed and had another vision. He saw a divine figure, basking in holy light. He know beleives that he is on an unkown mission from a higher being. A mission that has yet to reveal itself to him.
Species: Human
Weapon: A large zweihander (great sword)
Magical Proficiency: Abraham knows little to no magic.
Other: While wandering the countryside, Abraham came across a collapsed household. He entered to makesure that no one was hurt. Instead he discovered a small dragon, huddled on a small pile of gold coins. The dragon was holding one coin in particular. It was old and rusted. Abraham collected the coins with no problem, but when he tried to take the dragon's coin, he let out a small roar. So, Abraham decided to collect the dragon as well, and now keeps him for company.

Name: Elowen “Elle” Cho
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Loosley curly semi long brown hair, fair skin, a few freckles, almond shaped but slightly rounded brown eyes, thin but athletic and average height
Role: Knight
Background: Elowen was rescued with her sister from the slave market when they were young and instead were made to work at the castle. Although Elle was okay with it, she wished she were a knight because she’d always had the bravery, wit, and heart to be one. One day she was practicing sword fighting with her broom against other servants and won every time, catching on of the knight’s attention. She eventually started training and went on a few adventures, and now she’s the knight that she wanted to be.
Species: Human
Weapon: A katana when she’s doing short combat and a bow and arrow or the occasional knife in her boot otherwise
Magical proficiency: Her sister is very proficient in magic and occasionally tries to help her, and they both have what seem to be enchanted necklaces given to them by their parents before they were all separated
Other: Her sister was arrested in suspicion she might be working for Obsidian, so Elowen volunteered to go on a mission to retrieve the crown to get her sister out.

Gender: Male
Appearance: A reptilian humanoid with a tattoo of a black dragon on his left arm, upon closer examination, there's teeth marks like a snake. Except bigger. Has yellow scales, blue eyes. And his scales protrude from his head pointing back. Often wears a orange shirt with torn sleaves and shorts.
Role: would be considered a magic gunman, mersenary.
Background: He doesn't like to talk about his past but if you listen, you hear him talk in Spanish or Latin to himself. The little english he sometimes mutters follow the line of being cast away, someone named Lyra, and Champion. The tattoo is a sign of being a Champion. Champion to a certain creature.
Species: Flavusdens
Weapon: North: a gun that seems to grow stronger with each slay, fuel seems to be magic.
Magic Proficiency: None. Though constantly reaks of black magic
Other: The tattoo he calls the Ayer Draco Fortuno. The tattoo is the only magic he truly has. Giving him strength and speed the more pain and suffering he cause to his enemies and himself. Though it makes him.... Unstable

Oooh, we haven't had a good medieval RP in a while.
Name: Acerila Acres (Goes by Codi or just "C")
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance: Short, vivid ginger hair cut in different lengths just framing her face. Very dark brown eyes that look almost black, but glow with vivacious flecks of color. Very pale skin. She is rather short for her age and has a rather unearthly and unhuman aura.
Role: A spy, a wanderer, a worker, whoever she needs to be. She has a few ties to the Obsidian Gang and occasionally offers them information, although she is too young to raid with them.
Background: Her family is the lowest of the low. Thieves, wanderers, and the like. She set off on her own with her twin brother, Rowan, but they both chose different paths. Her mother is trying to turn over a new leaf and look for work in a big city, and she hasn't seen her father in years since he ventured up into the mountains. Acerila's cousins are part of the Obsidian Gang and sometimes connect with her for information from her travels. Acerila hopes to find her brother, Rowan, as she heard new from her cousins that he is in trouble and could be dead.
Species: She is a mix of different species, and is mostly human and elvish. However, she does have a slight bit of Raven Maiden (an all-female species that is very in touch with nature) blood in her, which helps her survive alone.
Weapon: A knife which she keeps secured in her right boot.
Magical Proficiency: Has a potential for natural magic, but has learned next to nothing.
Other: Can she be frenemies with Ruby? Maybe they are old rivals who deny any care they have for the other, but still manage to look out for one another. Or maybe competitive friends with a habit of bickering.

Yep! I was in it! My first character died after three posts, but the other one lived to see Evil's Revenge! Also, AYA didn't die, we finished it. We came to some sort of conclusion.
