Camp Half-Blood Roleplay

So, I don’t think I usually make RPs...I mean, I join them and everything but never make them, so I believe this might be my first. If at any point you’ve read the Percy Jackson series and really liked them, please join! I promise this will be interesting, and I’ll try to post often. :))

Basically, this is at a different time than the era of Percy and Annabeth and everyone. What’s happening now is that one of the titans is going to destroy the camp due to continuous fights with the kids’ parents, so a select few of students are going to sneak out and try to defeat the Titan, against the rules of course.

The charries needed:

One from Zeus

One from Poseidon (sorry, but that’ll be me. I know, kinda basic, but I like the whole water thing)

Two from Athena

Two from Ares

One from Artemis

Two from Aphrodite

One from Hermes

One from Hades

Charrie Sheet:

Here’s mine:

Full name: Hali (like Hailey) Marina Brook

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Parent (includes powers): Poseidon, so water

Personality: Introverted, smart, likes to observe than talk. However, she’s not completely antisocial, and is open to having friends. Hali is curious and open to new experiences, but sometimes self conscious about what people think of her. She’s brave, takes risks, and although introverted, is not afraid to challenge authority.

Appearance: Wavy blonde hair (in beach waves) down her back, but it’s not super long. She’s tanned and slim, but still athletic since she loves swimming. She has big sea blue eyes with gold rims and has freckles sprayed across her face. She always wears an anklet or two. She’s about 5”5.

Background: She grew up on Hawaii, as her mother owned a surfboard company. Hali has grown up surfing and loves it, and she’s quite good. When she found out she had to go to Camp Half Blood, she’s never stayed away from the water, even after she found out who she truly was.

okay, let's try to push the block away....(watch as someone posted before, and it hadn't shown up, and it totally, messes with whatever I come up with.)

Mason-

the sun wasn't unbearable, but it wasn't exactly pleasent. Hali was in the front of our little mob, leading us to where the polor bears were. Kathlynn stood back watching everything unfold, Max speaking with the Aphrodite girl, Brae, I think it was.

we passed a lot of little kids holding their parents hand big curious eyes, with ruffled hair and happy smiles, the faces of children that didn't know the world could be cruel. their innocence was too much, making my head spin, reminding me of my messed up home life. I shook my head, it wasn't time to get drawn into a flashback, not now, not here. a large red stroller passed by, carying two kids. a small group of three teenagers, looking about our age walked passed, stifiling laughs at us.

I stopped paying attention when I heard argueing.

"get away!" Hali's destint voice called out. I pushed my way through to see what was going on, Kathlynn seemed to have the same idea.

"Stop it!" she cried, running up to Hali who had her hand on the hilt of her weapon, ready to attack at any moment. "she's a child," I looked back to see Kathlynn was right, big tears welling in the eyes of a little girl no older than eight, bright blonde hair, falling down to her shoulders with blue/green eyes. the girl was on her knees looking up at us in fear. "look, I get your paranoid from being attacked, or whatever, but a kid? honestly?" Kathlynn took her eyes away from our self claimed leader and knelt down to the girl.

"p-please d-don't hurt me," the little girl whispered, tears leaking from her eyes.

"no, no, of course not," Kathlynn said, her voice soft, like she was trying to coax a bird with a broken wing, out of a hiding spot. "back up!" she barked at the rest of us. we all obeyed, watching everything happen. "what's your name, sweetie?" she said, her voice back to a soothing tone.

"Clarke," the girl said quietly, not meeting Kathlynn's eye.

"did you lose your mom Clarke?" Kathlynn asked, she nooded, staring at her feet.

"look, Kathlynn, noble and all, but we don't have time to go on some trip to find this girl's mom," Hali said, giving a pitying look down at Clarke.

"fine, you guy's go on, I'll take her, help her," Kathlynn said, extending her hand and helping Clarke up. the girl accepted, and got her to her feet. giving a small, shy smile.

"I'm coming too," I said suddenly. Kathlynn's eyes wandered over and fell on my me, her gaze fading from angry to something else. "the other's can go, and we can take her back, and then if a certain person shows up, we don't have to worry if you're okay or not," I said, she closed her eyes, breathing in.

"fine," finally, a simple word spoken,  "come one Clarke, your mom's probably looking for you too," she said, turning back to the little girl. she nodded, and Kathlynn took her hand,  looking back to me, raising an eyebrow. I realized what she was doing and I walked over, waving awkwardly to the kid. "this is Mason," Kathlynn said, "he's gonna help us," she smiled, and we walked away from the others.

probably the stupidest desicision to ever be made by us.

Kathlynn~~

it was a long time intel we found a worry stricken  woman, with her head whipping around franticly. Mason brought my attention over to her, as I carried a drowsy Clarke piggy back style.

"exuse me ma'am?" I asked, setting down Clarke, watching as she instictivly took Mason by the hand, it took him by surprise. "is she your daughter? we found her a little over an hour ago," I asked, the woman met my eye, sending shivers down my spine.

"yes, this...is my child, dear, I've been so worried, thank you," her eyes widened on the last two words.

"what her name?" Mason said, clearing not beleiving that this was the real mother of Clarke.

"well now, you aren't going to beleive a mother's word?" she said nerviously. something behind her shifted, and I turned my attention for a second, noticing a mon dressed in all black, with what looked like blue skin, next to two others, gaurds the same as last time.

"Clarke," I started back up, "go back to the group we were with, tell max that the ocean man tooke Kathlynn and Mason, okay?" I said, quickly, looking around. "go!" I shouted, and the little girl took off running in the direction of where we came from.

"you two may be just the thing I need for bribery, just the thing  I need to break up your little friend group," the blue man purred slowly.

Mason went down first his eyes closed, it wasn't soon after that I fainted too. but not before I felt Big Ol' Mr. Sea dude, begin to drag us away.

Hali~

My fist clenches as Kathlynn leaves. She's so stubborn. She won't listen. Why does she always look for a fight when there's a big enough problem as it is?

"Hali," Solange begins softly.

"No," I say back, quietly. I look up sharply as my voice raises. "NO. This is ridiculous. That little girl pulled a knife on me. A KNIFE, Solange. Did Kathlynn listen to me? No. Did Kathlynn let me go after her? NO! Slaves of Oceanus come in many different forms, and that girl just lead her into a trap. We need to go after her."

"No," Solange replies suddenly. "I'm making a decision. One that is important. We can't go on like this, with people turning on each other, when we need to stand united. Kathlynn and Mason will come back, but before they do, they need to learn that it's not okay to pull crap like this out of their own ambition. This is poisonus to the group. Sometimes we all need to use the momentous occasions, good or bad, to become stronger as a team. And when they come back, which they most likely will, things will take a turn for the better. We'll stick tighter together."

I nod.

She turns to the rest of the group. "Be careful, guys. But for now, we need to find the next stone. Hali?"

"Oh," I say, and nod while clearing my throat. "Solange, Silas, Aubri and I will be on the lookout. Can..."

My voice trails off. I'm so distracted, distraught, and feel weak at the knees. I realise all these people stare intently back at me. I'm helping them. I'm...I'm sometimes leading them. That's a dangerous job. The thing that happened with Kathlynn was my fault, right? What if something happens to them, to the people I've already grown to love? Suddenly I feel a fear in speaking publicly, to all these wondering and familiar faces.

Solange clears her throat. "Can the rest of you organise yourselves to find the stone? Let's meet back as soon as possible."

Everyone nods, and Aurora flashes me a supporting smile before going off to converse with Aurora and Zora about strategies.

Once their backs are turned, I collpase into a chair and start trying to breathe again.

"Hali," Solange says gently, kneeling in front of me. "It wasn't your fault."

"But-but they might get killed-"

Solange shakes her head. "No. No, Hali, listen. First of all, Mason has the powers of the big Z himself. Kathlynn's a 'proud peacock Athena child.' And we'll always be here to help them. They're not alone. But if they want to go on this sidequest alone, we have to let them. This isn't a strict government. We have to let them make their choices."

I nod and take a final breath before standing up. "Let's go make sure that no trouble is stirred up."

~

@GirlOnFire, I'm kinda thinking that since Solange is older than Hali, she's starting to become a kinda big sister figure to her. What do ya think?

~Silas Geltz

As we wandered around the polar bear exhibit, searching for this stone, I was wondering about the otters thing in the prophecy. "But beware each other, monsters, and otters,"

I kept my headphones hung around my neck in case of monsters, and wandered around the zoo. The otter exhibit was suprisingly nearby. I warily looked around. A group of kids in the front were holding otter stuffed animals from the gift shop, and were wearing shirts that said "I [insert heart icon here] OTTERS!"

I pretended to be paying attention to the feeding, while I was scanning the crowd for anyone who may seem suspicious, keeping an eye on the otters themselves. The otters seemed to look at me with their adorable fluffy faces to say "What are you looking at me for?"

I soon walked away, not seeing anything.

I would really like to know what these stones we're collecting do. I trust Hali, yet I'm unsure.

"Hey kiddo," A random man in what looked like a sterotypical Hawaiian tourist shirt came up to me.  "You don't look like you are here to see the otters."

I shrugged, and pretended to check something on my phone. Talking to strangers was not my thing.

"You know what will cheer you up?" said the man, and raised his hands dramaticallly.

"Otters are the worst,

You know that because of me,

find the awesomeness inside." he said.

"Dad!" I said in joy, almost too loudly, though luckily the crowd laughed then because of a joke the trainer gave.

"Shh," Apollo said, "Don't want Solange or anyone else to find me, you seem to appreciate my haikus unlike the others."

"The last line had too many syllables." I replied.

"Then, 'find it inside you.'" Apollo said as if he didn't make that mistake in the first place. "Look, the stones may not be very important right now, but they will be important later. The gods of the rivers and streams are the Potamoi, Oceanus's children. One of these stones are purification tablets, some of the dirty rivers would do much to get clean again. Use them when Hali talks to the Hudson and East River Potamoi. They could help you somehow. But remember, only one of these stones you're finding is one. Hali will know how to use them."

"So dad," I said, "what about the other stones?"

"That I cannot tell you yet, you'll find their purposes soon. They'll help you along.", quickly disappearing with the moving crowd.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We can use the purification tablets like Percy Jackson did, but for information or help of some kind.
@PinkPanther, yes, I think that’s a good idea.
Also, I made Clarke be able to see through the mist / possibly be a demigod so the plot makes a bit more since. I know she is an NPC character, but I wrote a section in her point of view.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Solange~

“Attention animal lovers, the zoo will be closing in 30 minutes, thank you.”

We all looked at each other.

“30 minutes? We have to get this today!” said Hali. “Let’s hurry up and strategize.”

“Well, only a child of the big three can get the stone, so that leaves Hali and Colin since Mason is with Kathlynn.” said Dylan.

“How do we get into the exhibit?”

“I think I could get you guys in.” said Aurora.

Clarke~

I was running as fast as a could. And then I saw Kathlynn’s friends, and Max.

“Wait!” I shouted. They turned around. “Kathlynn is in trouble. The ocean man took her and Mason. He was blue.”

The blonde girl rolled her eyes.

“Seriously?! She shouldn’t have gone. If it weren’t for her, we might have more than THIRTY minutes to find the stone. Now we HAVE to save them.”

she said. A pretty girl with pink eyes put her hand on Blonde Girl’s shoulder.

“Hali, it’s my fault. I said we shouldn’t have gone after them. We only have thirty minutes. Let’s split up and do both. I can take some people to find Mason and Kathlynn and you can take some people to get the stone.” said a girl with a red scarf on. She bended down. “Do you know where they are?” I nodded. “Don’t worry, were going to find them, ‘kay? Does anyone want to come with me?”

“I come with you.” said Pink Girl.

“I’ll come too.” added a girl with short brown hair (Braelynn) .

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Solange~
We followed Clarke in the direction of the ocean exhibits.
“Doesn’t she look like a mini Hali?!” whispered Zora. I took a hard look at Clarke, and saw that she did in fact, look like Hali.
“She does, the only thing is that her eyes are more green.”
“Wait, guys? How can she see Oceanus? She’s mortal.” said Brae.
“Huh. Can she see through the mist?”
“Or maybe she’s a demigod.”
Clarke suddenly stopped. “They’re in there.” She pointed to a marine research building.
Aurora~
”They’re in there,” this new person says.
Yeah, I followed them.
But the Marine Research Exhibit? Seriously? Wow, Oceanus. Well played.
”Typical,” I mutter.
We walk in quickly, searching for any sign of Kathlynn and Mason. Or that little girl thing.
But by the time I see Kathlynn’s shadow, they have exited. “Ugh!” I sigh.
We try to follow them, but a security guard with a small moustache blocks us. “Sorry, kiddos, but those were the last visitors for this part of the Zoo. Didn’t you hear the announcement?”
“Well, no. But could we pleeeease get through?” Zora asks.
”Nope. Against protocol.”
He doesn’t fall for it. Hey, wait a minute...if he didn’t fall for it, then how is he a mortal? Unless...
”Another slave of Oceanus,” Braelynn whispers. “Let’s avoid the trouble and get that stone. We only have...”
Solange checks her watch. “10 minutes. Let’s get out of here.”
We exit the Marine Research Exhibit, disappointed.
I sigh, checking my map. “Wait a second....the part with the Polar Bear Exhibit is on the side we can’t go to.”
”Just great!” Braelynn huffs.
”Well...we have to do this tomorrow, then. We’d surely be caught.” Clarke suggests.
”That would be too late! We have to do this now!” Hali protests.
”But there’s no way—“ Solange begins, but I interrupt.
”Actually, there is. Only Hali and I could go, though, because with more than two people it would seem suspicious. I can change us into animals. Maybe birds or a squirrel, I don’t know. But we could squeeze in to the Exhibit and get the stone quickly. The thing is, the rest of you have to be somewhere outside of the Zoo, or this whole thing would fail and we’d get caught.” I explain.
Each of them seem puzzled except for Hali, who nods and smiles.
”Then let’s get the others.” She says as she smirks in a mischievous way.
@pink panther, I loved your last part!!
Kathlynn~~
all that was around me, was darkness, I could hear Mason's breathe, and I tried to call out to him, but something stopped me. someone had taped my mouth shut, my hands tied behind my back. the floor rumbled and I was sent into the air boucing back down, a car horn sounded, and I realized we were in the back of a van. crap. I would never hear the end of this from miss perfect. I let my head lean against the wall of the van, and I neerly jumped out of the ropes when a felt something kick my ankle. "MMMMHH!" a muffeled voice yelled, or at least tried to, I squinted, and was just barely able to make out the sillioute of another person, Mason. he scooted over to me, just as the van pulled to a stop.
Oceanus opened the back of the van revealing where we were, not that flickering lights and flipped over paint cans helped. he reached into the van and yanked us out by our zipptied hands, pulling us behind him, without speaking a word. "mmmmm?" I said quietly to Mason, he locked eyes with me, I knew he didn't understand me, but he seemed to be trying to calm my nerves. I stumbled a lot while trying to keep up with Oceanus's quick pace, each time Mason tried and failed to help me.
leading us down a long hall way we finally passed a window, and for the few seconds that I was able to peer out, I was surprised and terrified of what I saw; we were under water, this must be Oceanus's castle or something, because no one else was around, but I was 100% postitive that this was under the sea. after going down a flight of stairs, which was torture worthy of Hades, we were thrown into a a brightly lit room, which contrasted with it's black walls, the light seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere.
Oceanus leaned down and ripped the ducktape off my mouth, making me wince as I felt skin being aggitated. I backed up agaisnt the wall, trying to note my nonexisting surroundings. without a word the blue man walked away, shutting a large golden door behind him, it shut with a loud bang, making me flinch.
"Kath-"
"what? Gonna say I should have listened to Hali?" I shot, cutting Mason off.
"No, actually I wasn't," he said, his voice quiet. he edged closer to me, his eyes meeting mine. I felt my heart race, not because of Mason, that would be, well, it would be unKathlynnish, I was worried about what would happen to us. sitting in the basement of your enemy's house isn't exactly one's starting plan. "we're gonna be fine," Mason said, trying to give a supportive smile.
"your optimism is appreaciatied, but there isn't a bright side to this," I whispered, trying to find something that could help us out of the deathly situation.
"there's Clarke, maybe she got the others, told Max, you guys are closer than real siblings he'll figure out something's wrong," Mason tried to assure me. it wasn't working. in fact the mention of the little girl  I was so intent on helping only made me feel worse.
"what if Hali was right?" I said finally, "what if Clarke was some monster in desguise and was only trying to trick us? what if I was just a stupid idiot that feel for a trap, and signed our death wish?" I said, my head leaning against the wall, it hurt to admitt that there was a slight chance Hali outsmarted me, that she was somehow better than me.
"you can't be so hard on yourself, so what if Hali was right, that doesn't mean you weren't being a good person, I mean you went to help a crying kid when the rest of us were too afraid, some parents we'd make," he laughed, making the situation real sureal. his smile was much brighter than the awful lights hanging from the ceiling.
"what do you expect? we're all, what, sixteen?" I replied back, trying to keep the mood a bit more upbeat that expected.
Mason opened his mouth, but was cut off with the large door swinging open revealing Oceanus, with a grim face he uttered only two words, "interagation time."
I'm absolutely loving this story so far! The only thing is that some of the charries are getting a little OP. Like how Hali and Aurora (I think Aurora did the golden blood thig?) can both heal people even though that isn't a specialty of their parent.
Well, I was kinda just going with Percy’s abilities for now, but it’s not like Hali is healing herself every time. Solange (I think) has to heal her when she fought Oceanus, so.... yeah. Thanks for reading though!
Yes, I did realize that Aurora got OP with that one golden blood scene, which is why I asked the Admins to delete it. Sorry if that was confusing!
