Theater RPG 2: The Talent Show

Actually, it began as a talent show. It began as a fundraiser for the Theater, so that Peter Caminski could put it back on the map. It began as one of the many ideas of a strange but endearing 14-year-old. But it didn’t stay that way. It became a magnet that pulled 9 very special kids together, and bound them forever, for better or worse. The auditions are in the past. The names are up. The rehearsals have begun. Are you ready?

WHAT’S UP MY FAVE THESPIANS??? I’m bringing this back! But I’m making a few changes.
Goodbye Angelica Trent…Angel…whatever your name was. I’m sticking with 1 character, and that’s Peter. However, Angel might appear as a school bully occasionally. So remove her from your memory, she did not come to the theater and won’t any time soon.
Goodbye Caminski’s Chills. The ice cream place can now be called whatever, but since Caminski is Peter’s last name that he kept, and not his adoptive parents, the ice cream place will no longer share his name. Ahhh, the complications of backstories.
Goodbye confusion! Here’s a little summary of how Peter and Anelia are related. They’re sister and brother, born in Poland to a broken family which split apart when the siblings were pretty young. Peter ended up in America. His father, who suffered from multiple health issues, died of a heart attack while Peter and him were at the circus. One of the performers (Leah) took Peter aside to comfort him. The day after the incident, Peter’s father died, leaving Peter completely alone in the world. After hearing his story, the headstrong young woman refused to leave Peter, and opted to quit her job to raise him, which was no easy task. When she moved to Mableton, she fell in love with the owner of a popular ice cream store (my brain is dead. Names will come later), and, well…it didn’t take too long for Peter to have a family again. During those first few years in Mableton, Peter and Rowan became friends, but the friendship dissolved after Rowan’s mother remarried. Then he met Anelia, his one link to the past, in the very city of Mableton, and his life turned upside down.
HELLO new charries! No one else can participate in the talent show unless we have some dropouts (so sorry), but there will be many places to add new characters into the plot. Does your charrie do sound and lights? Is he/she attached to the theater like Peter? Does he/she go to Mableton Public Highschool (or middle school)? I am totally open to any new characters.
HELLO new storylines! We can make this plot as complex and wonderful as we want, just keep it realistic fiction.
I hope to see some old friends and new faces! We are starting right after Peter and Anelia have shared their stories with their newfound friends and teammates at the announcing of the names.
I also posted a sketch I made of Anelia (Elementgirl's charrie) on the art posting thread. I'm not that good at drawing, but I can't resist a doodle (or two...or three...) during math class.

Appearance: Typically disheveled light brown hair, dark green eyes, pale skin, a couple freckles here and there. About average hight.
Personality: Excited, enthusiastic, absolutely determined, socially awkward, typically keeps to himself, always overflowing with ideas. He makes a great leader when he can pull himself together.
Something they are (were) hiding: Peter was adopted.
Talents: I know this doesn't make much sense, but Peter's talent is...being Peter. He's an actor and leader who's full of ideas. He knows he can pull this thing together.

Let's start soon!!! Sorry for not posting. I went on vacation. While on vacation, I found ALL the LOTR movies and Hobbit movies on TV on all different stations (was it national LOTR day or something?) I watched clips of different movies in between playing around the lake where we were staying and I was impressed. I started reading The Fellowship of the Ring (I bring it everywhere...natural health appointments, swim practice, etc.), and am obsessed. So to sum this up: I have not posted because I went on vacation, started swim practice, found a new obsession to keep me busy, and somewhere in between there started organizing my art work. I will post soon! Probably tomorrow! The characters are all great, and I love them.

Name: Sarah Komerninski
Age: 14
Appearance: Short red wavy hair, bright green eyes, pale skin. Average height. Athletic frame.
Personality: Friendly, fun, sensitive, supportive, bubbly, determined, hard-working, great group member, talented, humble. Can be extremely sarcastic, and can take it too far when defending her friends. Very likable, yet a bit clingy.
Something they are hiding: Her father has been a coma for three months after a car crash, and doctors say that he may never walk or talk again.
Talents: Sarah is a talented violin player and wants to be the next Lindsey Stirling, but she is also a good lighting engineer.
Other: If Toad and Sarah could still have that crush thing going on like they did in the last RP, that would be cool.

Name: Julia Petowsci
Age: 17 (She's a senior)
Appearance: Straight black hair that either she lets down but pulls the sides back or pulls up in a pony tail, pale skin, thin and dainty looking, average height, small mouth and nose but almond brown eyes that are a bit bigger. She has a small amount of freckles and always a smile on her face. Wears whatever she wants, and she sometimes has to wear glasses.
Personality: Optomistic, can relate with younger people well. She's happy and tends to spread a positive vibe. However, she has her own secrets and can be emotional sometimes, but she doesn't want her personal life to affect her every day life at school. She tries to help everyone and loves musicals, acting, singing, composing, and playing the cello or French horn (or piano). She can never sit still and is smart.
Something they are hiding: Her twin brother has cancer and she has high spectrum autism
Talents: Musicals, anything involving music. She can compose with a blink of the eye and pick up a melody quickly, along with DJing.
Other: She is half English and half South Korean. She's also a senior who's been in many productions already and helps everyone else who is younger in their productions, sometimes being stage manager and directing or helping with set design. Is that okay?

Name: Jasmine
Age: 16
Apperence: Dark skin, black hair that is in a messy bun, green eyes, that sparkled a little. Wears 'geek'clothing like star wars, Harry potter, and Warrior Cats, and she wears A LOT of superhero shirts. Super skinny, Bird-legs. Has a bag with a bunch of doodles and scripts for the musical she is in. Has a long scar over her eye that she covers with her hair.
Personality: Socially ackward, geek, loner, not at all shy, not afraid of anything. Loves anything to do with acting, she is was in a couple theater musicals as a side charecter, but now she is in a new one as a co-star (She is in Ariel, she is Vannessa/Ursala) She is a kind-hearted person, she is artistic and sometimes makes costumes for the theater.
Secret: Got into bad car wreak and that is why she has that scar, her mother and father died in it, so now she works hard to pat for the house and taxes.
Talents: Her talent for the show is singing, she can almost hypnotize you with her voice like a siren. She has a talent for acting and dancing. She have a thing for art.

Age: 15
Apperence: Dyed hair purple, blue and green, wears exotic contact lenses, like ones that show's only white, and multicolored ones. Wears a blue chocker with a Ying-yang on it, wears shirts that she cut fringes out and put beads at the ends, wears shorts in nice weather and wears jeans with splattered paint on them. Never wears make-up, pale skin, blushes a lot when emberessed, has hair in a 'Elsa Braid' all the time. Not curvy, but not super skinny like disney princesses.
Personality: Loves to laugh, once you get to know her she isn't all scary like her dark apperence. She is really helpful, babysits children ages 0-8. Loves Disney Movies, good artist, never is depressed or sad. She has an terrible life but doesn't want her life at home get in the way of her public life. She is that person who is the one to get tickets really early for comic-cons. She also is a superhero geek and goes to A LOT of comic-cons.
Something she is hiding: Her parents abus her so she mainly hangs out with friends and go on trips with her friends.
Talent(s): She can sing, but her most awesome talent she is doing for the talent-show is playing the Tuba.

This begins a few days after the Talent Show list celebration party :)
Also, I think this takes place before the 200s, just not exactly sure when. Any ideas? If we can decide on a date, the story will feel more real.

"Bye Mom! Loveyouhaveagreatday! YesIfinishedallmyhomeworklastnight, yes, I remember I'm going to Uncle Tom's after school. Seeyoulater!" I exclaim in a rush as I run out the door (late as usual), while praying that I remembered to put on matching socks.
"Peter! Wait!" Mom calls as I race down the steps, but I pretend not to hear. I addressed all her possible last-minute reminders before she could get to them, right? Grabbing my bike from where it lies crashed on the steps where I last left it, I sneak a look at my socks. Nope; they don't match. One is shorter than the other and has black markings while the other is all white. Oops. Hopefully no one will notice. I swing my bicycle into motion before it is even full upright, and push off down the sidewalk, helmet still dangling from the handlebars. It feels like such a normal day. Running out late to school. Realizing my socks don't match. Worrying whether I can peddle fast enough, and whether Angel Trent will have some new scheme to embarrass me today (usually right in front of Brianna...just my typical Peter-ish fortune). But today isn't a normal day. Today I'll see my new team from the talent show who will help my put my uncle's theater back on the map. Today I'll meet my biological sister after school, and we'll walk home together and I'll introduce her to my mother as a friend.
Today isn't a normal day.
Today may just may be one of the most abnormal days of my life.
And that's saying a lot, because, after all, I'm Peter Caminski.

@Rose bud- Does Peter's adopted mom know he has a sister yet? I wrote this post assuming not, but feel free to change anything.

Living on the streets is getting to be easier. I now know my way around- where to find food, where to get out of the rain, and most importantly, where to hide if the need arises. Quickly, I peek at the clock in the window of a large blue house. 7:54. Chetnie! I had no idea how late it was. Now, I have to run.
My backpack thumps against my back as I sprint in the general direction of Mableton High School. Suddenly, I all but crash into a telephone pole. Luckily, I'm not bleeding. But when I look up at the telephone pole, my mouth drops open in horror. This sign is hanging from it:
MISSING: A girl about 13 years old. About 5'6". Has red hair and green eyes. Goes by the name of Anelia Caminska. Last seen at 231 Main St., Mableton. If found, call xxx-xxx-xxxx.
Under that is my picture. My school picture from third grade.
A speeding bike comes into view. I can't quite make out the person on it, but I see messy brown hair and mismached socks.
"Peter!" I call.
The bike screeches to a stop. "Anelia! Hi!"
I tear down the MISSING flyer with such force that it rips in half. "Look at this," I say through clenched teeth.
Peter takes about thirty silent seconds to read it, his expression changing from innocently curious to shocked, and then to horrified.
"Anelia," he whispers."This is bad."

Okay, so I just changed the entire plotline. Hopefully nobody minds. XD.
