Theater RPG 2: The Talent Show

Actually, it began as a talent show. It began as a fundraiser for the Theater, so that Peter Caminski could put it back on the map. It began as one of the many ideas of a strange but endearing 14-year-old. But it didn’t stay that way. It became a magnet that pulled 9 very special kids together, and bound them forever, for better or worse. The auditions are in the past. The names are up. The rehearsals have begun. Are you ready?

WHAT’S UP MY FAVE THESPIANS??? I’m bringing this back! But I’m making a few changes.
Goodbye Angelica Trent…Angel…whatever your name was. I’m sticking with 1 character, and that’s Peter. However, Angel might appear as a school bully occasionally. So remove her from your memory, she did not come to the theater and won’t any time soon.
Goodbye Caminski’s Chills. The ice cream place can now be called whatever, but since Caminski is Peter’s last name that he kept, and not his adoptive parents, the ice cream place will no longer share his name. Ahhh, the complications of backstories.
Goodbye confusion! Here’s a little summary of how Peter and Anelia are related. They’re sister and brother, born in Poland to a broken family which split apart when the siblings were pretty young. Peter ended up in America. His father, who suffered from multiple health issues, died of a heart attack while Peter and him were at the circus. One of the performers (Leah) took Peter aside to comfort him. The day after the incident, Peter’s father died, leaving Peter completely alone in the world. After hearing his story, the headstrong young woman refused to leave Peter, and opted to quit her job to raise him, which was no easy task. When she moved to Mableton, she fell in love with the owner of a popular ice cream store (my brain is dead. Names will come later), and, well…it didn’t take too long for Peter to have a family again. During those first few years in Mableton, Peter and Rowan became friends, but the friendship dissolved after Rowan’s mother remarried. Then he met Anelia, his one link to the past, in the very city of Mableton, and his life turned upside down.
HELLO new charries! No one else can participate in the talent show unless we have some dropouts (so sorry), but there will be many places to add new characters into the plot. Does your charrie do sound and lights? Is he/she attached to the theater like Peter? Does he/she go to Mableton Public Highschool (or middle school)? I am totally open to any new characters.
HELLO new storylines! We can make this plot as complex and wonderful as we want, just keep it realistic fiction.
I hope to see some old friends and new faces! We are starting right after Peter and Anelia have shared their stories with their newfound friends and teammates at the announcing of the names.
I also posted a sketch I made of Anelia (Elementgirl's charrie) on the art posting thread. I'm not that good at drawing, but I can't resist a doodle (or two...or three...) during math class.

Age: 14 1/2
Appearance: Typically disheveled light brown hair, dark green eyes, pale skin, a couple freckles here and there. About average hight.
Personality: Excited, enthusiastic, absolutely determined, socially awkward, typically keeps to himself, always overflowing with ideas. He makes a great leader when he can pull himself together.
Something they are (were) hiding: Peter was adopted.
Talents: I know this doesn't make much sense, but Peter's talent is...being Peter. He's an actor and leader who's full of ideas. He knows he can pull this thing together.

Name: Tesha Narang
Age (12-19 please): 12
Appearence: (if you can find my Draw Your OC thread I drew her a lot) very curly, thick, chin-length, dark brown hair worm often with barettes and headbands; brown skin, petite/almost malnourished; has heterochromia (left eye=dark brown, right eye=pale blue); short, wears clothes found in lost and found boxes and dollar store sneakers (that are always untied), usually smiling,
Personality: Bright, pretty outgoing, has bouts of anger but they blow over quickly. Has learned to keep thoughts and problems to herself, doesn't talk about herself very much. Listens instead. (she does talk, but about other things) Creative, good at working with others- but, gets scared and nervous easily, and it's hard to regain her trust if you break it.
TL;DR- Optimistic/innocent and outgoing, but kind of jumpy/wary
Something they are hiding: She's having some family problems. Her mom is sort of abusive, mostly verbally, but she has been hit before. And he dad works the night-shift, so he's never around.
She's a little self-concious about having heterochromia, as well.
Talents (anything from picking locks to to singing to lightning-fast sketching): Writing plays, skits, whatever. She's not an astounding actor, but the things she writes make up for it. (maybe she could write something for actors in this RP? I don't know)
Also, has been taught to fight by her sisters. Prefers not to, but knows how.
(and never trips over her shoelaces despite them always being untied)
Other: Can help organize the show, if needed. Same with Toad.
Also, she and Anelia were working together in the last RP.

Age (12-19 please): 15
Appearence: Bright orange hair (like, really orange); murky green eyes, pale skin, lots of freckles. Lanky; would be tall if he could stand; is in a wheelchair; wears zip-up hoodies, joggers, and Nikes;
Personality: Cool, calm, a natural leader. Handles things with a lot of tact and stays neutral in most conflicts. Self-confident.
Pretty popular at school???
Something they are hiding: Well, it's not a secret or anything, but Toad's legs are paralyzed. Before the accident (when he was 12), he had an amazing vertical jump and was an awesome basketball player, earning him the nickname "Toad". His real name is Kyle.
Misses being an athlete a lot.
Talents (anything from picking locks to to singing to lightning-fast sketching): Used to be really, really good at basketball, but has gotten more into the arts after the accident. He's taken up a few instruments and is especially good at playing the flute. A natural leader.
Other: Possibly in a wheelchair basketball club? Depends on the size of this town.

I am completely caught up now! Huzzah! Here are some lovely Santa's Little Helpers for you.
Name: Luke Baker
Age: 14
Appearance: Well, the first thing people notice about Luke is his breathing tube. he has cystic fibrosis, an uncurable disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. It's not as extreme as some cases, but he does need to carry around an oxygen cart to help him breathe. His skin is pale, with no tanning, because he rarely goes outside; if he does, he burns almost instantly. Due to his condition, Luke's really skinny and spindly, which makes people worry about him, and he still hasn't entered puberty. His hair is blond and curly, his eyes a light brown. Luke bites his nails, so they're always jagged and short.
Personality: A sweet kid! Luke's not afraid to go up and talk to people, and he does his best to befriend everyone he meets. He has a way of knowing exactly how to interact with a person after just a few lines of conversation, and from there adjusts himself to be awkward or brash or quiet so that they're the most comfortable they can be. But Luke's also naive, and really trusting, and will listen to almost anyone, which is why his parents always insist on him having a chaperone everywhere he goes (that, plus the worry that he'll suddenly pass out from his condition). He's stubborn, dedicated, and loyal, which makes for quite an impressive combination when someone/something gets in the way of someone/something he cares about.
Something they are hiding: Luke is getting worse. His breathing is shallower than ever, he gets heartburn, and sometimes he gets constipated, or blood appears when he coughs. But he's worried that if he tells anyone, he'll be carted off to a hospital somewhere and separated from everything he loves.
Talents: Technology! Luke takes online coding classes, but he's also good with the mechanics of things. He'd make an excellent sound/light booth guy, cough cough ahem.
Other: Apart from the symptoms he hides, Luke has a chronic cough that often includes phlegm, and he's suffered from pneumonia twice.

Name: Brianna Struck
Age: 15
Appearance: Brianna's Latina, with silky black hair and a skinny, tall build. She wears golden hoops in her ears and small amounts of makeup. Multiple bad habits of hers include picking at her eyelashes, nails, and dry skin.
Personality: Brianna has a minor case of depression, and though she doesn't want to, her parents force her to take meds every day to surpress it. She's a very moody kid and snaps easily; she's also incredibly impatient. Brianna's not good with people, and prefers for folks to approach her, instead of the other way around. From there she's a good conversationalist, if nothing you say irks her. She holds grudges, which makes it so she likes basically no one in the town, but she's not mean; instead, she mostly ignores or avoids people she dislikes.
Something they are hiding: Brianna is ADHD. Her parents and teachers know, but she doesn't like to tell other kids for fear they'll make fun of her.
Talents: Sewing! Brianna really is a kind of girly person, and she's found that designing is one of the few things she can concentrate on for more than a few minutes. She gets very excited when she talks about her work, and almost half the clothes she wears were made by herself. (gee, I wonder what she'd be good for in a talent show? Oh! I got it! She'll do curtains!)
Other: Also has minor asthesma, but it only really kicks in during hay fever season. (if you didn't guess, I was being sarcastic in talents. She should totally do costume design!)

Name: Alex Carrier
Age: 15
Appearance: dark brown kind of messy hair, hazel eyes, tan skin, pretty tall but you don't notice it because he usually keeps his head down.
Personality: an invert but that doesn't mean he's shy. He actually has a nice sense of humor and will keep a conversation going if somebody else starts it. Supportive, easy mannered.
Something they're hiding: scared to make new friends and has a slight slur that he's trying to change.
Talents: well for art related talents, he's got a nice voice, and can think up song lyrics or basic story plots really quickly. Can possibly do a little acting. He also plays guitar and piano (nothing crazy). For non-art related talents: he's supportive (as said before) and will stick with something he agreed to.
Other: he moved to Mabelton a little less than a year ago, and still doesn't really know anyone. .
