Tonia gasped as the elevator doors glided open. Blinding light filtered through the glass walls of a huge office building that could not possibly exist anywhere near the open feild and woods area where she had last been above ground. Level upon circular level of floors lined with marked doors stacked up as far up and down as she could see. Hummings and beepings and telephone rings resounded around the large space. However, not a soul was in sight. Every single door on all the levels appeared to be closed. Looking around at her companions, Tonia realized that they were as shocked as she was. Kestrel slowly removed a camera from her leather satchel and snapped a picture of the surrounding building.
"We might need this for evidence later," she explained. Behind Tonia, Daisy took a sharp breath.
"Anyone else get the idea that we are definitely not supposed to be here?" She questioned.
"Actually, this is exactly where you are supposed to be," said a sudden and mysteriously familiar voice.
Tonia jumped and spun around to face...
"You!" Bolton exclaimed.
"Ahhh, stop doing that," Sam yelped at the same time, "it freaks me out!"

This is a continuation of a past ski lodge. I don't care whether or not anyone comments, I just wanted to continue this because I missed it.

"Do I want to know...mmmph...where you...mph...got this idea?" September asked between grunts as she struggled to balance on my shoulders.
"No...no, I don't think you do," Jarren replied, smiling slightly as he thought of an awkward adventure with his sister. Above him, September put out her arms to balance herself.
"At least the earthquake stopped," she gasped out, "now what?"
"Brace yourself. I'm going to try to get up there," Jarren replied.
"You sound like you know what you're doing," September said hopefuly.
"No, I don't," he said. Jarren was just pulling ideas out of his head and acting on them. That was something he was good at, if nothing else. Carefully, Jarren slid one shoulder out from under September's foot as she braced her green boot against the wall of the shaft. There wasn't enough room for the two of them to stand, so Jarren had to settle for crouching while September prepared herself.
"Ready!" September cried finally. Jarren stared at the light coming at the other end of the rectangular shaft.
"You know this might not work, right?" He warned.
"Now you tell me..." September muttered.
"Okay. Okay, okay," Jarren said to himself nervously, "I'm uh...not as athletic as my sister." September let one hand slide away from the metal wall of the shaft. After several tries, Jarren jumped up and grabbed hold of her hand while stepping up and using September's foot (which was pushed tightly into the wall) as a...well...foothold. As Jarren tried to force his way up the shaft a bit in the same way that one might climb up a doorframe, September's boot slipped.
"Ahhhh!" She yelled involuntarily. Jarren reached out to pull her up. He suddenly felt claustrophobic.
In this way, they pulled each other up; participating in a strange and dangerous game of leap-frog as they fought to reach the rectangular bit of light always just above them.
"Almost there," Jarren promised after the 4th or 5th leapfrog. He'd only met September a few minutes ago, but already they worked together like a team. Strange what a life-and-death situation can do to two strangers.
Finally, after what felt like a sweaty, slipping eternity, Jarren's head bumped against the grating at the top of the shaft. At that exact moment, September let out the slightest surprised note of fear. Jarren looked down just in time to see both green boots slip from each wall of the shaft. September bought a few seconds by bracing her hands on the walls above but she could not catch her balance this time. As September's support beneath him gave way, Jarren's own grip started to slide. He clutched at the grate with both hands.
"Grab onto my foot!" He ordered as September plunged back down the shaft.

Pretend anything from first person is in third person. My brain was as scattered as paper trash after a goat has been through it.

I am still adding characters. Everyone who signed up in the original will be introduced before the climax, although not everyone will have a file mainly featuring them. I pick characters to introduce/Feature in each day at random.
