Solo write continued!
Ya, Im starting another thread for this because no one looks at the last one any longer. I also want some new people to get into this, but be warned, it may get deep.
This solo write is called Doves in Hawks, two political parties gunning for the control of the country. The political leaders of each, the Queen of Doves and Emporer of Hawks, agreed to sivide the country. One side all doves, the other all hawks, and a wall seporating them. But they weren't done. Soon the Hawk emporer challanged the Dove queen. He sugested a war between them. And if she refused, he would attack anyway, for extra tarratory. She agreed.
Alright, so all the charries are childen 11 and up that were caught in this war. I AM ACCEPTING NO NEW CHARRIES. I am sticking with the charries that people already aplied with, and here are the origonal people bellow and their charries.

The fight was mean, but fast. Soon an athoritive figure of somesort seporated the fight and dragged them off.
"That was--," Ashria begain.
"Not what you were expecting." i finished for her. "Maybe we didn't think this through all the way." I sighed.
"Hey, look at that girl over there!" Ashria suddenly brightened. "I think I know her from school, let's see why she's here!"
Before I could say anything Ashria was bounding towards her, and I quickly followed, my head thumping with questions. Are we going to have to fight? Will we did in this war? Would they really put kid's lives in danger?
"Ashria!" The girl with a pencil in a neatly wrapped bun smiled, and I reconized the art-girl instantly. The first thought I had, the thought I always have at the sight of her, popped into my head. Why would someone want to be smart in art? What use does it have to the people around her, to the people in the future?
"Aby!" Ashria grinned, slowing to a hault by her friend. "Why are you here? I didn't think you were intrested in things like war."
"I'm not." She said bluntly, fidgetng with her paint-stained tee. "I just joined so I could meet up with a friend on the other side without getting in trouble."
My eyes flashed with some sort of fealing I couldn't recoil. Was it, pitty? Did I feal sorry for this art-fanatic? Do I know something that she doesn't?
Yes, actually. I do. She is going to die. In the heat of battle, she will be the first to go. With no smarts or brutal strenght to gide her, she will die.
~Ashria
I glanced over at Sammy's strange look. Some emotion covering his eyes that he was clearly confused about. "Common, Sammy!" I shouldered him, and he shook his head as if to get rid of his thoughts. "Brighten up! Just think of everything we can learn on the battle feild! Weren't you always curiouse on what type of guns they use?"
"M-4 Carbine rifle." He said bluntly in responce. "Among others."
I stared at him with my mouth open, brain searching for words. "It's fine." Aby stated. "I can see he doesn't belive someone like me should be here, waiting for a war to start."
We were silent for a few mommets, then suddenly the doors burst open and the general with the two boys who had gotten into a fight earlyer walked in. "It is time to start." He anouced, just as the clock outside struck.
Bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong. The last one echoed inside our skulls, and the general simled. "I am comander Enmity, though you can call me general. I am hear to whip you kids into tip-top shape so you can become the top fighters of our armey in a little over 10 years."
"Wait, 10 YEARS?" Sammy interupted, eyes elight with a new fire, shock.
"First rule," Commander continued, staring into Sammy's wide eyes. "Never interrupt your commander while he's talking. I will answer your question, boy, but this is the one and only time. If you interupt ypur commander, you leave. And you are to never come back. DO I HERE A YES SIR!?"
All was silent. I exchanged glances with Ashria. She looked over to Aby, who was practically shaking in her shoes. "Well," Comander said quietly. "We'll work on that. Now, for your question, boy. Your training will take 10 years. You can leave anywhere in between this 10 year span. You will be able to watch the battle comense from the back of our troups once I think you've passed the first part of your training efficently. You will slowly move up in class these next 10 years, untill you are ready to lead your own troop."
Training begins soon. Trucks are waiting to bring you to our base, were you will be introduced to higher commanders and generals, and you may even get to meat the Hawk Emporer in person."
I exchanged another look with Aby. Fear started its way up my spine, and I shivered, now realizing what I really got us into.

My heart beat with releaf. I didn't have to fight. I didn't have to fight! A smile slowly spread across my face. "But," The Queen continued, her eyes darkning. "You will train. Being the next generation, you are the backup for the older, more experianced fighters. You will tend to the horses, tend to the food and prepair meals for the older warriors, some of you will even be trained as backup-nurses for the wounded. But be warned, if things do come to it, you will fight." She turned to her child behind her. "You will also pose for many photo-shoots we'll hold out in the training camps. You will be cared for like children, and we won't excpect you to be any older then you are." Her gaze sofened at this. "Now, come with me. Trucks are waiting to carry you and the other soldgers to training camps."
Reclulantly, we got up, Barbary's eyes filled with fear. "For a second I thought we weren't going to have to fight. We are Doves after all." She sighed. "But I guess not. We did join a war...what was I expecting?"
"I...don't know." I whispered. "Maybe since we're doves, you expected this to be a debate?"
Her eyes darkened. "Life isn't a debate. War isn't a debate. Death isn't a debate."
With that she walked fowards, running a bit to catch up with nerdy-guy and his sidekick. I stared after her, her words sinking into my chest and making my heart thump faster. Pushing down a set of coughs, I reclulantly followed them, finding myself walking behind Frank.
There was no one behind me, so I couldn't slow down and let them be between us. Instead I looked down, away from him.
But I wasn't really watching were I was going, either. So, I sorrta kinda ran into the wall thinkking it was the door. It was loud too, and as I erupted into a coughing fit, almost everyone's eyes turned to stare at me. "Cat...." Someone sighed, and I saw, through watery eyes, the weird guy's apprintance pushing through the other five kids to stand by me. "Common, are you alright?"
Hot embaressment flooded my cheeks and my watery eyes decided to become tears. My head hurt from the wall, yes, but my coughing fit had yet to cease and was making my throat hurt. "Do you need some water, dear?" I heard the Queen call back to me.
I shook my head no as my face turned even redder, I could feal the warmth heating my face. I managed to look up and see Franklyn walking ahaid, away from me and everyone's gaze. My heart hurt and swelled from all the pressure, and I realized, that somehow, I wanted to impress him, to get his attention in a good way, and make up for what happened with Lee. But why would I want to impress him?
A cooling fealing filled my chest and my couges died down. My throat was raspy from the coughing, but I shook my head and stood streighter anyway. "I-I'm--f-fine." I said raspily.
I took a step fowards, and Catalina by my side gaurded me from the watchfull gazes of everyone else and up to our little make-shift friend group. "Thanks." I whispered absantly as we continued out the building and to the loading trucks.

I adjusted my cat ears as I stared at my mother. "Bye." I responded to her heart-felt goodbye that I was barely listening to. If she really cared about me, why was she sending me to a filthy war?
Looking heart-broken, my mom waved us off as the truck started and started driving away. It was one of those with the open backs so you could hang your legs off and watch all the dust fly around you. I was stuck being the one at the end, because my mom held me off till last so she could say her goodbye.
We were to get settled at our camp in the timeline of a week or so before she would come back and start with our pictures and assign us training. It wasn't that long she wouldn't see me for, but she acted like it would be forever.
I watched as the other ten or more trucks rored past us. They were the ones filled with older men and woman, oly part of the recrutes for this war. Most of them were already waiting at camp.
I couldn't help watching my mothers figure untill all the dust clogged my vision and I couldn't make her out anymore. Blinking my eyes from the dust, I squeezed into a small gap by the side of the trucks cover where the dust got in less.
I scanned the people around me. Two guys, five girls, not including me. The oldest girl looked to be about 17, the youngest probably 2 years older then me. The oldest boy though, looked like a compleat nerd, eye glasses and all, and looked to be about 16. The youngest was maybe 15. He was huddling in the corrner opposite of me, the space arond him empty but the small contaners of canned foods and water jugs.
I couldn't help but think how strange it was that mostly girls joined. I assumed their parents forced them to, maybe Hawks in hiding, and made them stand for what they belive in.
Sinking into my thoughts, and my eyes sealed shut from the dust, it wasn't long untill Idarkness compleatly sourounded and muffled my thoughts, and I knew I was drifting to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~
I woke to muffled voices and the bumb of the truck. My head had hit painfully on the side, probably what had woken me.
My brain refused to open my eyelids, becasue my eyelids probably thought I was still asleep, because they felt as if a million pounds were strapped to them. Instead, I let the furryness of my thoughts and noises and muffled talking sharpen to the real world.
"Are we there yet?" Some girl whinned.
"No. Well, I actually have no clue. They never stated when we would arive at our destination." A higher guy's voice spoke, and I peiced together that he was the older, nerdyer guy talking.
"I don't care what you think." The girl snarled back. "Cat, are we there yet?"
High-pitched girl laughing followed the statment. "No. We have not arrived at our desti-a-natn yet." The girl, Cat, responded.
"I'm soooooo bored." A differnt girl whined. "Do you know and road-trip games?"
"No. But man am I suddenly starving!" Cat's voice responded.
"Thank's for reminding me." The other girl who had the prospect of a game on her mind responded.
That's when I realized the own hunger knawing at my stomich. An my numb arm against the wall. I carfully sat up, and rubbed my head with the arm that could feal. As I did, instantly I had a pins and needles sensation go up and down my arm, and I winced.
Peeling open my eyes, I looked around. The group that was talking were stationed in the far corrner, safe from the dust. Another group was in the corrner next to me, away from the dust, and were talking quietly.
Rubbing my eyes, I almost toppled right into the girls behind me as it finally came to a compleat stop.
"Horses. Poor things used in the war and killed without regret. I wonder what being a war horse would be like. Or a general in a war. I wonder if the horses know whats happening. I wonder if they're ever afraid." I whispered, eyes vacent and face dusty from the long truck ride to our base, our knew home.
"I'm sure they get scared." My older sister responded, stroking my long blond strands of hair. "And I'm sure they dont know what theyre doing half the time. But here, atleast, theyre cared for. We lather them and exercize them and keep them in better shape then even a farm. Our old brother told me. You dont have to worry about them." She smiled warmly, but I could tell when I looked up that she was afraid herself. She knew, as well as I knew, that we should rather be worrying about ourselves then the horses right about now.
I sighed, my mind flouting back to our brother. What we've been talking about, for maybe about 3 hours, had been the topic of animals, our brother's profession. No, not just the hawk sitting on Sveta's shoulder from our brother, but seeing our brother and his animals ourselves. We were actually doing this! I havent seen him in soo long, just picturing his face made my eyes tear up.
Sitting up to stroke Sveta's bird's neck, I thought of how amazing it was that we got to bring him. Our brother had receaved the letter we sent him a few days ago, and told the Queen that our bird was harmless and that we were taking it for him. Which was half true, it was his parting gift to Sveta and kept him in our hearts all this time.
Suddenly the truck jurked fowards and I was knocked from my thoughts...and my knees. My hand flew out to catch my fall, and the hawk's wings sqrawled out as he cawwed in shock. Sveta winced as his talons dug into her sholder.
I was expecting the truck to go again, but as I heard the motor rummble to a stop, my heart lept from my chest....practically. "We're here!" I exclamied excitedly.
