You never meant to move here. Beneath the facade of the bustling work city you live in, there lies a plague: a plague of crime. In the stone labyrinth that is Evernaught city, five vigilantes have risen up to take on the crime.
The vigilantes don't have superpowers, aren't even all perfect. They wear masks. They have code names. They fight crime. The similarities to superheroes stop there.
Seven people can join. The positions are:
5 vigilantes
2 main villains
RULES:
No superpowers under any circumstances.
No OPness or impossile tech (like invisibility cloaks, none of that).

@The Riddler, someone had Will fly out the window. Brookeira wasn't posting and we didn't know what decision she'd make, if she'd rejoin the vigilantes or Leopold. It was dragging too much of the plot down, too much hinged on a person who wasn't even on the CB. If Brookeira comes back we can get Will back in the plot, but right now she isn't here.

@Alexandra - it depends. Shaia is either mostly dead or all dead (anyone get the reference?) It's up to you - she's your charrie.

Ok... I guess I'll make her not dead, since it would be kind of hard to post with her if she's dead! So she has this gaping wound on her side. Got it. Gem's mom is alive, right? And Leopold is dead?

I press my hand to my side, taking a deep breath. Skylar and the scientists are fighting, and no one notices me. Isn't that perfect? I ease myself into a sitting position against the wall, riffling through my pockets. Those vigilants didn't think I'd leave myself defenseless, did they? Well, if they did, then they have to think again.
I take out a vial of medicine, and pull up my blood-soaked shirt. I spread some of the medicine on the wound, wincing. I take out some bandages and patch myself up as well as I can, wiping the blood off of my hands. I grab another dagger, and slowly stand up, gasping as pain shoots up my side. I close my eyes for a second, then turn toward the battle.
Skylar has her knife pressed against Dawnstreak's throat, and a little vigilant is creeping up behind her. Ha. Like she'll go unnoticed. I slowly make my way toward her. I hear Skylock gasp, and cry, "Shaia!"
I reach out and grab her, pressing my knife to her throat. She's not the only one who can sneak up on people. She tries to squirm free, but I keep her there, leaning against the wall. This is taking up lots of energy.
The vigilants eye us suspiciously, and Skylar and I gaze right back. They look defiant, not at all scared. Well, maybe I have to make a change to that. I tilt my knife slightly, and a line of red appears at Gem's throat.
She stiffens against me, and I let out a harsh laugh. Suddenly, a vigilante leaps forward at Skylar, and I extend an arm.
"Attack!"
Time to set my snakes out again.

Guys, this is an important discussion. So... basically, this RP is almost over! I know this is probably against the rules, but I think we should figure out a basic idea of how this will end. Will anyone die? Will any side win? What will happen?

First, Riddler, I totally get your reference! The Princess Bride is awesome.
Second, I don't want anyone to die, personally. Nobody here has two charries, so if somebody's charrie died we would lose a writer. But in the end, it's up to the owner of the charrie. As for any side winning, I want the vigilantes to win, but I'm biased.

My point was, when the RP is over, it doesn't matter if we lose a writer... we... *pauses for dramatic effect, realizes words, gasps*... stop writing entirely. The story is over. Soooo... I don't know.

There were all those other test subjects who went insane... I was just rereading some of the older posts and realized that we had completely forgotten about them. Maybe we could find them somehow? Leopald is dead, Shaia is injured, Skylar is fine so far, Saana is shot, Andy is unconscious, Gem's mom is trying to do secret stuff on Leopald's computer, Gem and Dawnstreak currently have knives to their throats, Zandi is trying to rescue them, Will is somewhere... There may be other people who I've forgotten... So we need to figure out each of their fates.

What do we want the fates of Saana and Andy/Rex to be, specifically? Whatever happens to one of them severely impacts the other. Do you have ideas?

Um, I was hoping they could be pardoned? I want them to go free. I know this is very perfect-ending-ish, but... I dunno. I like them. I practically know them, at this point.

Hmm. This is tough. I guess hardly any rp's have ever finished before. This is the first one I've been in that has come even close to finishing (except maybe the Spirit Animals rp.) While it would be nice to have them pardoned, it is also highly unlikely and doesn't quite fit with Andy/Rex and Sanna's way of thinking - they went into this believing that they were going to be arrested forever or even sentenced to death (altough I doubt anyone would do that to a couple of teenagers.) Maybe to go a little with what Cockleburr said, the vigilantes find a way to lessen their charges, so we have a few posts in the days right after the battle, and then sort of an epilogue a few years later after they are released. Sound good?
Also, I maybe also might ship Andy and Saana, like A Happy Reader just posted.
