You never meant to move here. Beneath the facade of the bustling work city you live in, there lies a plague: a plague of crime. In the stone labyrinth that is Evernaught city, five vigilantes have risen up to take on the crime.
The vigilantes don't have superpowers, aren't even all perfect. They wear masks. They have code names. They fight crime. The similarities to superheroes stop there.
Seven people can join. The positions are:
5 vigilantes
2 main villains
RULES:
No superpowers under any circumstances.
No OPness or impossile tech (like invisibility cloaks, none of that).

I would really love to, but we're at a point at which I have no idea how the vigilantes could escape. Right now I'm typing htis frantically in the few minutes before my carpool for school comes, but I'll definitely try to work on it when I get home (that's probably gonna be around 12, school gets out early this week for midterm exams)

Colors shift wildly, muffled sounds buzz in my ears, and the whole world is spinning dizzyingly. I try to move, but my brain doesn't seem to be able to work. Finally, the world starts to slow down and I can see a bit more clearly. Blurry figures are grouped in the center of the room, one of them holding something, probably a gun, directly at a wolf. I narrow my eyes, desperately trying to clear the haze around them. I can see another person in the background, half-hidden in the shadows. Will. The human with the gun, Leopold, I realize, suddenly tightens his grip on the trigger. The wolf crouches down slightly, ready to pounce. Not that she could make it in time. Will moves slightly, but nobody notices her. Leopold slowly smiles, his gaze still fixed on the wolf.
"Well, I guess we have no doubts about this one." He says. His words are oddly muffled, and for the first time, I notice my ears are ringing. The scientist next to him nods.
"Terminating her would be the best option." I can barely pick up her words, but apparently Gem and Zandibar heard her, they both stiffen. Leopold just smiles.
"Well, say goodbye to Subject Beta, you'll never-" He squeezes the trigger. I don't even have time to close my eyes. But the next second I realize I didn't need to. Will had suddenly pushed forward, faster than I could follow. Leopold and the scientist are thrown back against the wall, and fall limply to the floor. Gem jumps back in shock, but Zandibar/the wolf looks at Will/Subject Alpha. Will stares blankly back at Zandi then slightly inclines her head. She saved us. I try to stand, but the world suddenly lurches and I collapse onto the ground again. When the haze clears, Will is gone.

Thanks for the correction!!! I kept having this feeling while I was writing the post that I somehow messed the subject names up but then just passed it off as me automatically connecting "alpha" with "wolf" (the form Zandibar was in), and decided I was being silly.
