Evernaught City RP

You never meant to move here. Beneath the facade of the bustling work city you live in, there lies a plague: a plague of crime. In the stone labyrinth that is Evernaught city, five vigilantes have risen up to take on the crime.

The vigilantes don't have superpowers, aren't even all perfect. They wear masks. They have code names. They fight crime. The similarities to superheroes stop there.

Seven people can join. The positions are:

5 vigilantes

2 main villains

RULES:

No superpowers under any circumstances.

No OPness or impossile tech (like invisibility cloaks, none of that).

Name: Willomena Zora Bartholomew

Name as a "superhero": Will o' Wisp

That's a possibility, but you might want to talk to Leafpool and Alexandra, who play the current villains, first.

Thanks, I won't be a villian villain though, just a robber of some sort.....

As the writer of Rex, I would say you cannot be a villain but if you're okay with your character being really evil with no redemption, maybe you can be Leopold or another scientist.

I'm sorry, folks. But here's some writing. I haven't written for a while, I know. Actually, is anyone still on here? Please say if you are! Or just post.

Zandibar~

Will opens her mouth, but anything she may have said is drowned by a scream:

"No! ANDY!!!" It's Saana. I turn and see her clutching Rex. Blood trickles down his arm. Shaia's snake is slowly winding it's way back to her.

"Good girl, Ebony. Come to mommy. Good girl," she coos as the reptile slides into its accustomed place around her wrist. She scratches its head fondly, not caring that her snake has injured an former... team mate? Collegue? I really don't know how villian circles work. And it really doesn't matter.

"Will! The antivenom!" I shout, forgetting for a moment what has happened.

"Silly Skylock," Shaia snears, looking up from her snake, "she's not going to give it to you. She's chosen the right path now. She's joined us." I look back at Will and see that she's holding the tiny vial. I extend my hand to her.

"Please, Will." She reaches out her hand to me-

and drops the antivenom on the floor. Before anyone can react, I launch myself forward and scoop it up, then glance back at her. Did she drop the antivenom to say that she wouldn't help me? Or becuase she knew I would take it?

It doesn't matter. I have it. I toss it to Saana, who snatches it out of the air and gives it to Rex. He moans, which I take as a good sign.

But when I look at Leopold to see how he's taking this developement, he's glaring furiously at Will. Her motives don't matter to him either, it seems. For whatever reason, she dropped it, I got it, and Rex is recovering. It doesn't matter why.

We're in trouble now, I think, just before I register the gun in Leopold's hand.

Um, I'm still here, and I would love to post, but I'm kind of knocked out right now...

Wait a second, Tariana got a hit by a tranquilizer dart, but they're not supposed to last long, so maybe she could wake up, but still be really..... idk, whatever the word is that describes someone who's just been knocked out. Groggy maybe? Anyway, she'd have a splitting headache to add to her post-unconscious syndrome and so would only be able to see everything in that strange, shifting, really dizzying way. Huh. I could work on this. The trouble is, I'm going to be gone for most of the weekend because of New Year's, but I'll try to fit in a short post. You know, since Brookeira's gone, shouldn't we have a draw? Like everyone manages to escape without a lot happening to give time to plan?

Here!

~Gem

My eyes widen as Leopold pulls out a gun. It wasn't supposed to go this far. None of it was. I was just having fun. Pretending I was someone important. Mabye a spy with a secret identity. No one knew who I was in this game, no one knew. I slipped easily around corners and through small spaces. I trained myself to be quiet and kept taking lesssons from Master Tse. And then it happened. I caught on. A group of kids were always passing notes, whispering when they thought no one was looking. Who would have thought I would be kidnapped, three times at that! The click of a trigger brings me back to the present. He has the gun aimed at Skylock. Before I can think, I'm charging at him, getting ready to spring with full force. But he's prepared for that. A force knocks me back, making me cry out in pain. "Hello Gemma." A familiar voice says. I look up in shock. I knew she was with them, but I never expected her to actually go against me.

"Mom?" Fear washes over me.

Zandibar~

I'm staring down the round, ugly dark gun pointed straight at my face. I can't move, I can't do anything. He's going to kill me, I think dully, He's going to kill me, and there's nothing I can do. Changing shape won't help me here, he'd shoot me anyway, no matter what shape I'm in.

Gem starts to run towards Leopold. Oh, no. What is she doing? She'll get herself shot! I think, but there is still nothing I can do. Nothing.

Suddenly, someone steps out of a dark doorway and throws her arm out in front of her. Gem gasps in pain at the sudden stop.

"Hello, Gemma," the person says, moving out of the shadows. Gem looks into the woman's face and terror streams over her features. I taste her fear on the air.

"Mom?" she whimpers, her voice cracking slightly. I can see her trembling. The woman smiles coldly.

"Yes, Gemma, dear," she pronounces the endearment like an insult, "I've been hearing so many things about you recently. Mostly about how annoyingly in the way you always are, just when things seem to be going our way." She makes a disapproving tutting noise with the tip of her tongue. Gem flinches away like she's expecting to be struck. Rage starts to rise in my throat. What does this woman do to her? Gem's part of my Pack and I have to protect her.

Wait, cautions the wolf side, not just yet. Bide your time. Wait for an opportunity. I obey, keeping my anger in check until the right time.

Just you wait. I'll be ready, some part of me promises, but I can't tell if it's human or wolf. It's getting harder to keep the two apart.

Gem's mother starts talking to Leopold, as though oblivious to her daughter's fear.

"How did she turn out, Leopold?" she asks calmly.

"Powerful. Much more powerful than intended," Leopold replies.

"Will she need to be regulated? Or deleted?"

"Depends on if Gamma starts working as it is supposed to. Otherwise..." he trails off ominously.

"I'll never work for you! Never!" Gem is clearly attempting to pull herself back together, "And I am not an it!" Hardly batting an eye, her mother turns and slaps Gem across the face. Gem flinches back but her mother is holding her tightly by the wrist and she can't get away. Gem turns her face away from her mother, sheilding it with her free hand. I see a red handprint splashed diagonally from above her right eye, down to her left cheek.

My lion side is furious, demanding I attack her mother, kill her. The hawk screams for revenge. But the cunning wolf says, Wait, wait for it. Don't be rash, now. Just wait.

I take the wolf's view. For now. Until the moment arises.
