Evernaught City RP
You never meant to move here. Beneath the facade of the bustling work city you live in, there lies a plague: a plague of crime. In the stone labyrinth that is Evernaught city, five vigilantes have risen up to take on the crime.
The vigilantes don't have superpowers, aren't even all perfect. They wear masks. They have code names. They fight crime. The similarities to superheroes stop there.
Seven people can join. The positions are:
5 vigilantes
2 main villains
RULES:
No superpowers under any circumstances.
No OPness or impossile tech (like invisibility cloaks, none of that).
Name: Willomena Zora Bartholomew
Name as a "superhero": Will o' Wisp

So, is shape-shifting too OP for Zan? Maybe I can make certain rules, like if she stays in a different shape for too long she gets stuck for 24 hours or something? What do you all think?

I like these ideas!
Will~
Will growled as she crawled around the side of the room.
She was done being quiet.
Will threw a smoke bomb into the room. The scientists shouted, and as Will jumped in, she saw the bars around Gem bend.
She wasn't doing it... was Gem?
Will grabbed Gem as Skylock and Dawnstreak grappled a scientist each. The man looked into Will's eyes and smiled, steel-gray eyes bruning into her like liquid nitrogen.
"Subject Beta, after all these years. Don't worry, your villains won't be a problem anymore."
Will's blood went cold. She ran out, dragging Gem with her.
She heard Skylock and Dawnstreak following behind.
Who were they? And why did he say...
Saana. Rex.
"Come on!" Will said, running for their base.

Sorry, my homework took a super long time yesterday. Thanks for involving Rex and Saana! @Star, let me and The Riddler do this though, because they're our characters.

Okay, here's a tip for all the wannabe macho-men of the world: When you just fell off a cliff and almost died, do not try to do a flying karate kick.
Long story short, it failed. And probably almost killed me. I lay sprawled on the floor, unable to move, wishing that the pain would go away.
I feel myself being lifted up, and think, stupidly, that whoever is lifting me is incredibly strong. And I guess I pass out.
I wake up in a room that can only be some sort of laboratory, with test tubes and precise graphs on the walls. I'm assuming I'm the lab experiment. I think, horribly, of grade school, when we would dissect frogs in science class. I gulp.
Saana is next to me. We're strapped to some kind of table or gurney.
What do these people want of us? Why are we here? This isn't jail; this is far, far worse than jail.
Strangely, the pain is gone. It feels less like I was cured, more like numbness. I have an odd sense of detachment, like nothing can hurt me. At the moment, I'm almost more worried for Saana than for myself.
I can't do anything. I'm utterly helpless. I hate it. I can't get out of these restraints. I can't find out who brought me here. I can't even move sideways, for fear of injuring Saana's broken arm even further. I hate helplessness. I hate the fact that we are completely at our kidnappers' mercy.

I'm sorry Zeus! I just needed to do something. Please erase my last post from this story and memory.

It's okay. I think Tariana has the potential to be amazing, so you have a lot to write about. (it just took me forever to build up emotions and plot between Rex and Saana, and I feel like it's hard to get that right if it's not your character)
(October 25, 2016 - 7:37 pm)
I completely feel for you Rex. I literally hit myself in the face when I realized what I'd done. I'm really sorry!

I remember wishing the bars would just get out of the way, and then Will o' Wisp appeared and they did! I stumbled along as Will raced to wherever she was going. "How did you do that?' I asked ask I tripped on a can on the street, my leg wasn't much help. "Do what?" she replied her mind ocupied with other thoughts. "Bend the bars." I said. Will spun around and looked me in the eye. "I didn't," she said, "but you might have"

You know, it kind of feels weird that the good (roughly speaking) people are all test subjects. SO it's just an idea, but Tariana could be an experiment. But by a rival lab. But unfortunately, this rival did not have the technology or the resources that Leopold had, and the test went seriously wrong. The government shut down the lab right after that, so almost (note: I said almost) no records remained. Subject ________ was abandoned and found by the adoption agencies whose only explanation was that her family was killed in a gang war.
So there it is, another random jotting of one of those ideas floating around in my head. Please tell me what you think, but we don't have to include it in the story. And post!

Zandibar~
Gem staggers behind Will and I. Even though Will gave her the antidote to the venom she still seems to be in a lot of pain. Antidotes aren't immidiate. She stumbles again and I bend down.
"Climb on, Gem," I tell her. She shakes her head.
"I'll slow you down too much. Don't worry, I'm fine! Keep going!" she urges me.
"Don't be silly, Gem. We're not leaving you behind, so just get on," I insist. She hesitates, then gets on my back. I rise and follow Will back to HQ. But just before we reach the door a car screeches out from in front of our house, nearly running us over.
"Watch where you're going, you idiots!" I angrely yell at the car, but it is already halfway down the road. I hear Will gasp.
"No! They're gone!" she cries. I follow her gaze towards the house. The door is nearly off it's hinges and a window is in shards on the ground.
"Then that car..." I'm flooded with realization and panic, "They were in the car! Will, come on! We've got to follow them!"
"What about Gem? We can't leave her here, the door doesn't lock! They could get her!" Will says.
"We can't take her! She can hardly walk!"
"I can walk!" Gem bursts out.
"Not very well!" I retort. Gem opens her mouth to protest, but Will cuts in,
"Look, Zan, you go after them. I'll stay here and try to bandage Gem's leg then follow you."
"Ok, but hurry!" I can still see the car in the distance. I start running. I quickly fall into my natural running stride, with long, powerful steps. But the car is quickly getting farther and farther. If only I could run faster. If only I could fly!
What had Will said earlier? She said that maybe I was subject alpha. I remember how she could lift Rex easily into the air after she said "Subject beta"...
I whisper as I run, "I'm alpha. I'm subject alpha!" A strange sensation fills me. My arms prickle and stretch and my legs feel skinnier and shorter. I look down at myself. I'm shrinking! My arms are growing feathers. I touch my face with fingers that are binding together and feel a beak. I shriek with shock, but hear a hawk's scream instead of my own voice. I'm a bird?! How?
There's no time to question it. I spread my wings, leap into the air-
and fly!
