Well, this is awkward. No one seems to know what to say as we sit around the campfire. Our akumi are waiting nearby, and even though no one seems seriously hurt and we haven't been attacked in what, three hours?, we cannot let our guard down for anything. The rainforest is pretty cool, I've never seen such tall, leafy trees before, or the bright and colorful animals that live here. I can't believe how much I've missed. Especially this beautiful music that Leo's playing on his flute, it's an old Chill lullaby that seems familiar and new at the same time. I'm just curious how he knows the whole piece, since Pola just hummed the first part. I don't know. I'm just happy to be sitting down. My eyes threaten to close as Leo plays, but I keep them open for the group's sake. When the song ends, I notice Pola glancing at him strangely and wonder if she's thinking the same thing as I am. Leo makes a shushing motion with his hand at Pola, and then at me, too. He fake yawns to cover up anything the others might have noticed, then says, "We should get some sleep. Who's got first watch?" I raise my hand halfheartedly, even though I'm dead tired, but Theron volunteers first. I'd do the same thing in his place, he probably doesn't trust us enough yet to let me take the first watch. "Okay," I mutter feebly, and drift off as soon as I lay my head down.

As we sit around the campfire, Leo starts to play a song on his flute that he's supposedly never heard before. I don't quite believe that, as he played the song perfectly. When he finishes, Pola saddens and tells us about how she first heard the song. It's a depressing story, and it ends with her brother being killed. She finishes and gets up to take a walk, get some air. I wish I could sympathize, but I never knew my family. I grew up in an orphanange. They told me my parents died of disease, but wouldn't tell me what sickness, or how they caught it. I just eventually ran away into the forest and met Xena, and started my lonely life in a cave. It's so boring. The same routine, over and over. These new people could bring just the excitement I crave.

My thoughts are interrupted by Leo saying we should get some sleep, and Aspen offering to take the first watch. I don't let him. These people seem nice, but I don't fully trust them yet. Better that I keep watch.

About an hour later, the fire is almost out and Pola still hasn't returned. I'm starting to get worried, but there's nothing I can do about it. She'll surely be back by morning.  

Hey is it ok if I get captured too? I just thought maybe you wouldn't want to be captured alone. If not, Nebula can come back to the fire and report Pola missing from not only the campfire, but the forest as well. If she gets captured, she can use the star speak (the Stellar morse code) to tell the others that they are being captured.

Nebula~

As soon as the fire goes out, I hop up. Hopefully Theron doesn't see me. I need to find Pola, she's been gone way WAY too long. I dash off, running as fast as I can (which is pretty fast because of my light body and my dancing legs). I soon hear mewing behind me. "Nova?" I whisper. Instead of Nova I see a HUGE white and black leopard behind me. I yelp and it immediately shrinks into my little cat. What in the world? My mind flashes back to an old memory.

"See this kitten, Nebula?" my older brother, Orion (who is now dead of course), asked.

Little 5 year old me nods my head.

"She will protect you, no matter what. Don't ever let her leave your side, understand?" Orion says urgently.

"W-what's wrong Owion?" I ask.

"Listen, I have to go somehwere and I probably won't see you again for a long time. I need to protect you, and little Nova will do that while I'm gone."

I hug Nova tightly as I nod. "Owkay Owion."

So this is what he meant. My Nova isn't a cat at all, she is my guardian, my Akumi. That explains why whenever she got a cut, I could feel it stinging me too! I scoop Nova up and continue to run. I can't believe I'm risking my life for a stranger. Oh well. The stars are telling me that this is going to be worth it.

Can someone sum it up for me? Or would it be easier for me to just read the thread all the way o_o

@Icewolf, yeah, sure, you can get captured too! How about you follow my trail through the woods, and then Ethan finds you. How about back at the camp, Kallik tries to find me, and leads you towards Darkclan.

Leo~

I quickly open my eyes as soon as I hear someone stand up. It's almost pitch-black in the forest, but Finn gives me that weird glowing-blue sight thing, so everything looks like it's lit by lightning. I wait until the girl hops up (I think her name was Nebula..) and she walks into the dark rainforest. I slowly get up with Finn on my shoulder. I bet Nebula was worried about Pola wandering off like that. So am I, which is why right now I'm about to sneak into an uncharted rainforest which I know nothing about. Wait. I stop, about to plunge into the forest. This is stupid, trying to find Pola in a rainforest. I don't even know where she is! Wait, but couldn't her Polar Bear lead me to her? I turn to that big bundle of white. "Um, hello Polar Bear, I was hoping you could lead me to Pola, I'm worried about her," I whisper. In a flash the Polar Bear is up and staring at me. Even in Finn's vision I can see how dark the Bear's eyes are. Fathomless depths. I stare into its eyes, transfixed. Then it turns away and starts to lead me, stopping every now and then to look back and see that I'm following.

After a few hours of following Pola's bear, I'm very tired. So is Finn; by the way, my vision sometimes flickers and all I see is the blackness of night. I'm also sweating. It's odd, how clammy it is here. It's hot, and I have to wave my hands around to deter insects. Then the Polar Bear stops. It sniffs around a bit. It claws at the earth. Then it raises it's head in a mournful gesture. Suddenly something's hurling towards me, small and black. I don't know what happened, but I somehow dodged it. Then more of them come. I realise they're darts. I franticly try to find cover, but the onslaught of darts just keeps coming. I keep on weaving and ducking with agility that I think has to do with Finn. As I dodge darts I hear a voice, it's whispering, "Huh. This one'll be a good candidate. Agile, and can see in the dark. But I can't see his animal. Might be a cheeta, he looks like a Sundrop." Then another voice, lower. "Ah, General, no Cheeta could do that. They are speedy, but not flighty. Probably something smaller. I mouse, perhaps. But it doesn't matter. We have enough forgetting-poison to make a clean cut, but he's dodging too well." Then I hear a roar. It's not of pain, but more like one of something circling its prey. I notice that Pola's bear has been hit by a few darts. He's not moving. Then something really bad happens. I feel like I'm being squeezed. Then I fall to the forest floor, weak, helpless. I see a young boy come out of the foliage. He grins and brandishes Finn, in his left hand. "Time to forget, Sundrop." A dart hits me.

I feel so weak. So sleepy. Then I see Finn. He just manages to jump out of the boy's grasp and scamper to me. Then he uses his claws to draw something on my arm. I can't see what it says before blackness settles over me.

Nebula~

I keep wandering through the forest. What is taking Pola so long? I hope that she didn't go too far otherwise one of the Darkclan scouts could get to her. Why am I even worrying about her? What's happening to me?

As I keep walking I start to realize, there is no sound. No crickets (lol) no birds... just quiet. That can not be good. Soon a sound does meet my ears: pine needles crunching. I freeze. The sound continues. This is bad. This is bad. THIS IS SO BAD.

"Wait! Wait up! I'm here to help you!" a boy says. I look back and see him. He has a head of blonde hair and shining blue eyes. His black outfit is hard to see in the moon's light.

I immediately turn and keep walking, this time I am going faster. 

"Wait! Please I just want to help! I saw a Chill fairly close to here. I think she was lost."

As my ears perk up at those words, I freeze abruptly. "Where?"

"Oh don't worry, she's closer than you think. I'll lead you to her. My name is Ethan, by the way."

I don't know why, but I am shivering. I don't like this guy. He seems... off. That's when I see Pola lying on the ground.

Screaming, I make a run for Pola but Ethan throws his arm out and catches me in the stomach. "Ouch!" I yelp.

"You're going to the same place she is! Now just go to sleep, little Stellar."

I give Ethan a confused look. Now I know why he seems so wrong! He's part of the Darkclan.

Ethan quickly thrusts a needle into my neck. A strange, warm fuzzy feeling creeps into me. My thoughts blur as I wobble. 

"Well then, two new members for the Darkclan." Ethan laughs. I crash and someone lifts me up. Then everything goes numb and I fall asleep.
