Nebula~

I storm back to my cabin. That boy... Theron? Yeah that was definitly his name. He just ran right into me! What was he thinking? Well probably a lot actually. He looked so lost in thought. I am still furious but I can't help but think about him as I get Nova's snack. He looked so kind and he was polite to me even though he is a human. I've never seen him before (no surprise there) and he's never seen me before either. I am furious thagt I actually had to give him my NAME. I just had to. The way his hazel eyes stared at me just kinda forced it to squeak out. It's so werid thinking about someone other than my dead parents. Nova is scratching at my pants and mewing up a storm, breaking me out of my thoughts. I sigh, "I need to get my mind off that clumsy Theron. He's just another human. If I open up to him he will betray me. After all, isn't that what they all do? Right?" For some reason my voice sways a little, like I am unsure. Nova stares up at me with her big kitten eyes and then looks at the fresh salmon that I speared yesterday. "Ugh ok, Nova. Here." I set down the bowl, rinse off my hands and head outside. Apparently, the Dark Clan's people are attacking. I might as well help out a little, even though I'll have to talk with people. I mean if the warriors die, nobody will be here to protect everyone else. See? I can care about those backstabbers every now and then.

While I am walking I can't help but search the crowd for Theron. Why am I acting this way? He's just another boy that's here to rip up my heart. I shake my head violently, trying to wipe those strange emotions away, but they won't. They keep coming back, pounding at my head like a hammer. I have to get out. I need to go to the forest and climb some trees or something! This is too overwhelming.

I dash ingo the forest, not stopping until I can't hear or see another person. I sigh as I breathe in the fresh forest air. For some reason, I've always liked the forest better than my cozy little cabin. The cool breeze brings my hair to life and I start to dance. I use the tiniest of steps until it becomes an elaborate mix of twirls, leaps, rolls and graceful arabesques. I have always loved to dance, it's one of my favorite things to do. I can't help but sing a gentle lullaby as I waltz along.

"The moon speaks to the hearts of our people,

Though it does not make a single sooooound.

I swear the moon shines for our people,

Illuminating the grassy grooooound.

As I sing this song, I can tell it sings along,

Because the moon sure shines for meeeee."

I keep humming the soft sweet tune while I dance until I hear a branch snap.

"Great!" Someone mumbles.

Before I can see who it is, I dash off into the forest. I can't believe it! Someone saw my dancing! Someone heard my singing! The forest is the place I go to escape! Someone caught me in my safe place! This is my shelter from other people. This is my home! I run back to my cabin and rush into my room. I grab my book and start to read. Hopefully that person that saw me didn't see my face. I can't have my singing and dancing known! It's my private hobby, something I do when I am alone and safe. Now someone knows about it.

Nico says cdad. hmmmmm SEE DAD? I'M NOT YOUR DAD!

Pola~

The first thing I feel is heat. Burning, blessed heat that warms brings warmth to my face. The next thing I know, someone's pouring liquid fire down my throat. It scorches and burns all the way down, but it feels wonderful all the same. Then a strange tingling feeling, along with a wonderful warmth, starts to spread out from my stomach out to my toes. I can literally feel the ice in my veins melting. The next thing I feel is life and movement being returned to all of my limbs, and I sit bolt upright. "HOT! HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!" Everyone in the room starts grinning. Aspen, who is holding a pair of tongs, says "You have no idea." I turn to see Leo holding some sort of drink with pot holders. He grins and puts the drink down. "We had to use tongs just to make the tea that would wake you up. Gratiitude starts to overwhelm me. These people went through so much to save me, a complete stranger. "How can I ever thank you? You all went through so much....." Aspen smiles. "It's OK. You're welcome." I notice the boy leaning against the wall of the hut. "I'm assuming you helped too? Thank you." He nods at me. "I'm Eo, and you're welcome." "Wow, Eo and Leo. That's kinda funny." Aspen smiles at me. "I was thinking the same thing." I notice for the first time how much he looks like a Sundrop, especially now that he's dressed like one. I really hope that he doesn't become one, because I'd really like to get to know this kind, handsome boy. Just then, Alma busts through the door. "Alma!" I shout. "What the spirit lights are you doing here?" Alma shuffles her feet nervously. "Well, I saw you cross the border, and I followed you." I smile. "Another girl. FINALLY." Eo laughs. "What are we, chopped liver?" I turn and say, "I'm not going to answer that." Then I grin to smooth things over. Then Aspen steps forwards and says, "Did you guys notice something strange in the middle of that boiling lake? I could've sworn I saw a doorway, and smelled pinetrees." Leo jumps to his feet. "Really? There's a local legend that there's a door to the Stelllars world hidden somewhere around here." I smile grimly. "Leo, do you have some clothing that I can borrow? Because I'm coming with you guys, whether you like it or not."

YAYAYAY!!! THIS.... IS.... GETTING SO GOOD! HEY! GUYS! WHAT IF, AFTER WE HEALED SORRYICAN'TREMEMBERYOURNAME, WE COULD LIKE, EXPLORE THE SACRID PLACE AND STUMBLE UPON THE LINE WHICH DIVIDES THE SUNDROPS AND RAINFORESTS! And I mean literally stumble over. Sorry about the capital letters, just I tend to write in a rush when conveying an idea. Wow! Hey! And what if the Sundrop chief came upon us and we like had a fight with the oother Sundrops!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

"wrko." Work? You wannna talk about work?! "WRKO!!" Oh. Sorry Frederic, didn't know you meant that you were going to work at a CAPTCHA school. Sorry about offending you. Just you didn't have to destroy my pants in anger.

Leo~

"Yeah... I DID see a strange glowing doorway on the island, now that you mention it," says Finn as he quickly climbs out of my reach into the palm branches. "GOSH, YOU COULDN'T HAVE MENTIONED IT BEFORE, COULD'VE YOU?" I sarcasticly shout. "Let's see.... no." Finn grins and disappears deeper into the palm tree. I sigh unhappily. I can feel him move away from us. Guess we'll have to find a way to get across now. I turn around and see everyone staring at me. "What?" I ask. Timidly Pola says, "Um, not many people argue with their Akumis." I learned that the Chills call their animals Akumis. Singular, Akumi. "Well, I do," I say. "So... how do we get across?" I ask. An awkward silence follows. "Well, I suppose we could-" FWIP! Something small almost nicks Aspen as he ducks. "WHAT WAS THAT?" I shout. I hear another FWIP!  And something almost punctures my neck. Okay. Someone is attacking us with blow-darts or something. Then a body drops onto me from a tree. For one moment I'm struggling with a bag over my head, then the next I can see. Except everything is slowed down. And tinged blue. I can see someone's fist slowly going towards me. I slide out of the way. It's weird.... like.... then it hits me.

Finn is helping me. Letting me see through the vibrations of the earth. Huh. That's weird. I always thought Prairie Dogs just tunneled. Then a shooting pain goes through my back. For one moment I think that a dart hit me, then I realise what just happened. Something's hurting Finn. And... it looks like Stellars and Sundrops are attacking our little troup. The pain comes again. Sharper. All that matters is I get Finn. I run towards where I think he is, then I double over in pain. For one second all I see is the inside of a burlap sack, then I can see again. Then I see Finn. He's between the jaws of a lion. But not Eo's lion. The chief's lion. I stumble towards them. Black spots dance in front of my vision.

The lion's jaws press harder. The pain strengthens in intensity. I won't reach him. Blackness closes in......

If any of you have noticed, I'm sort of rooting for  several someones colliding into the lion. *Hint, hint.*

Aspen~

Someone's shooting blowdarts at me! How dare they? "WHAT WAS THAT?" Leo yells. Another one almost hits his neck. I almost say, Nice reflexes, dude, but am interrupted by a body dropping out of a tree. Great. Can this day get any worse? I think as a bag is pulled over Leo's head. I try to punch the attacker in the gut, but somehow he (Or she, idk<--this is not part of my post) dodges my fist and I almost slug Leo in the face. Luckily, he slides away just in time. Then, someone jumps me from behind, grabbing onto my neck and pulling me down. The only thing I can do is kick, and my air supply is running out. I throw my head back, right into my attacker's nose. There's a horrible cracking sound, and for a moment, their grip on my neck is loosened. Gasping for air, I grab my harpoon and rush into the battle.

Leo is making his way towards a huge lion, not exactly the smartest move, if you ask me. Then I see his beaver or whatever that thing is clamped between the lion's jaws. Oh no. Humans share a special bond with their Akumi. If Leo's Akumi dies, so will he. When it comes to battle strategy, I'm not usually the go-to person. But I know that if I can get a few people to fight this lion, I can win. "EO! POLA! LEO NEEDS HELP!" I shout, but they are all busy fighting their own battles. Wait a second. I think. I have a two thousand pound walrus on my side. "CHUBBY!" I yell as loud as I can. He lumbers over to my side, bodyslaming about a dozen people on the way. He seems to know my plan before I do. "On three," I say. "One, Two, Three!" Then we charge toward the lion, putting everything we've got into this one push.

That was really weird. I was in a hurry, sorry, so it's not very good. Anyways, got to go. Bye.

YAAAAY! AWESOME POST, ASPEN!!!! Sorry I just couldn't remember your name. It ALWAYS happens. I always forget people's names. I bet it's so annoying to the people. Oh, hey, and, in my post, that thing about seeing through earth tremors, it's because of Finn. And that's the only power he can give to Leo. Just saying since I didn't want to sound like Leo's OP.  Oh yes, and Aspen..... you might be able to swim as well as a walrus if you wanted, or maybe Eo could see in the dark or maybe Pola could, uh, I don't know. JUST RANDOM IDEAS!!!!!!

Hmm. Saaaay, the Sundrops have a Test, the Chills have.... um, I don't know what you have that is famous about you... OH MY GOSH, WHAT IF THE CHILLS ARE FAMOUS FOR HAVING SUCH STRONG BONDS WITH THEIR AKUMI, OR MAYBE..... MAYBE THEIR AKUMI COULD LIKE, STAY ALIVE WHILE THEIR, UH, 'MASTERS?' ARE DYING!

Eo ~

In surprise, the lion loosens his grip on Finn, but doesn't drop the prairie dog.  I sigh, sending a mind-bridge to Raione. I had hoped we wouldn't need to use violence, but I suppose it can't be avoided for long.

Raione, I need your help with something, I ask.

Anything, the lion responds.

You see that lion?

Yes.

In his jaws is my friend. Please free my friend, but try not to hurt anyone.

Alright.

Thank you, Raione.

He bounds toward the lion, growling. In the primal language of animals, Raione chuffs at the other, who snarls back.

I'm sorry, Eo. He wants to fight for your friend.

So be it.

The bigger lion drops Finn on the ground, kicking him aside. His golden mane gleams as he circles Raione, and I can only watch helplessly as the battle for Finn begins.

Raione leaps at the other lion, claws extended. He bats Raione away like a cub, tail lashing, a growl rising in his throat. Raione glares back fiercely, muscles tensing to leap again. He feints to the bigger lion's head, but dives down to bite his leg instead. Caught off guard, the lion stumbles, and in that moment, Raione leaps to bite his throat. His jaws part golden mane and his teeth find their mark. The other lion struggles, panicking, and lands a blow on Raione.

I feel a burning pain in my side and clutch it with my hand. I draw my hand away to see it covered in blood, warm and sticky.

Despite the gash, Raione doesn't let go. He hangs onto the lion's throat, finally drawing blood. The lion chokes, then goes limp. Raione releases him with a look of triumph. As soon as the golden lion pads away to nurse his wounds, Leo dashes over and cradles Finn in his arms. "Eo... Raione.... I don't know how I could ever repay you! You saved Finn! Thank you so much!" I only smile in return, rubbing my wound. Raione pads to my side. I stroke him. You're so brave, I tell him. Thank you, old friend.
