REMADE FAIRYTALE RP!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

REMADE FAIRYTALE RP!!!

REMADE FAIRYTALE RP!!!

So!  Tovah made something like this once, then BHR recreated it, and now I'm recreating it cause it's an AWESOME storyline!!

Basiclly, we are each a fairytale hero or heroine, and you can make up the fairytale if you like.

After our tales ended, we all decided to go the high school, so we are currently enrolled in a privates high school especially for fairytale charries. I'm BHR's version they were training to fight aliens, which I have no problem with, but I think it seems a bit odd to have fairytale sand aliens in one RP, so I'm going to change that.

The school(which I need a name for), has twelve principles, each a fairytale veteran. It functions just like a normal high school would, but sometimes there are these challenges. A siren goes off, and everyone has to go change out of their uniforms into some more comfortable clothes in the secret room enclosed in their locker. Then you go talk to a principle, and they give you your assignment.

My plan for the plot is that something weird happens in a challenge, and the principles qualify us for a mega challenge thingy, maybe with other schools or something. Anyway, here's the sheet.

Name:

Age:(It is a high school, keep it realistic, maybe 14-16 for our purposes?)

Appearance:

Backstory:(the fairytales should be a bit different from the originals, just to make it more unique.)

Powers:(NO OP CHARRIES PLEASE!)

I will post my charrie later, and then FIVE MORE PEOPLE MAY JOIN.

THAT IS ALL. SEE YA'LL LATER

Darius~

I jolted upright as the challenge bell rang, rapidly blinking my eyes. All around me, 'tales shuffled out of the classroom, heading to fetch their clothes from their lockers. As I squinted in the pale light, my eyes sharpened until my pupils were just slits of black. Able to see much better now, I hurried off to my locker. As I was rushing down one of the hallways, a slim silver shape flashed at the corner of my eye. When I whipped around, nothing was there, but I thought I saw a flicker of a tail.

Meh, I thought. You see enough weird things in this school. That was probably just another. Once I reached my locker, I clicked it open and pulled out my black T-shirt and my pair of camo jeans. Changing quickly, I took one final glance down at my sheet to clarify the principal I was seeing. Dr. Emperor, I thought. Alright. He's in the... lllleft wing? Even though I had been going here for a while, the castle was so huge I often lost track of where everything was. Racking my brain, I remembered wher ethe left wing was and set off for there.

Finally reaching the top of the set of stairs that led up to the wing, I rolled my shoulders and flexed my hands preparedly. A nervous thrill always ran through me before a challenge. Putting my hand on the door, I slowly turned the shining bronze handle and went inside.

Fine. I'll keep us going.

Ben-

A few minutes later, Ben was zipping through the halls. He ran all the way to his locker, trying to avoid any of his classmates, but that was impossible. Kids were everywhere. Luckily, lots of strange things happen at a high school for fairytale characters, so nobody took much notice.

Finally, he skidded to a halt outside his locker and pressed his paw onto the white paw print on the door. It had glowed gold for a moment, then the door swung open. Ben trotted into the secret room and slammed to door with his back legs for good measure. If he was stuck as a wolf, he could at least make the most of it. He walked up to the desk built into the shiny gold wall and stood up on his back legs. Leaning against the nearby chair for support, Ben used his front paws to push a shiny golden envelope with the school seal on it.

Once he was safely on all four legs again, Ben scratched at the letter for a few minutes until it finally started squealing.

"Stop it, stop it!" It cried in a tinny voice, floating up off the sparkly clean floor. "You're going to damage my seal!" It flipped around to show Ben its golden seal, now slightly smushed and malformed from all the scratching. Ben snorted.

"Well it's all fun and games for you, stinky wolf!" the letter squealed, outraged. "You don't have to fly around all day, giving silly students their challenge assignments!  Do you know how many complaints I get from these kids? 'Oh Mr Letter, my friend is in group 17! Could you move her in with me?' 'Mr. Letter, I need to be with my girlfriend!' 'Mr. Letter, I wasn't the one who blew up the toilet, it was Janine!'"

By now, Ben was getting bored. Even before he had been a wolf for three years he had been rather ADHD, and the 'Forest Treatment' hadn't helped. Impatient to get to the challenge, he snapped at the annoying scrap of paper with his large, sharp, paper-shredding teeth and growled. When the envelope didn't react, Ben gave a wolfy sigh/growl and pinned the paper down to the floor with his paws.

Properly terrified by the razor sharp paper-cutting instruments an inch from its face, the letter squealed even louder. "Right! Right! You're a student too I guess!" It cried. "Duh! I mean, this is obviously a student's locker and-" Ben growled again. This stupid thing was giving him a migraine with that sneaky little voice.

"Ok!!" the letter screamed. "Ok!!  Benjamin Chase is due to report to Professor Marbank's classroom at 1:43!"

Satisfied, Ben released the paper. It flew off out the air vent, muttering about messenger mistreatment all the way. Then Ben looked up at the clock. It was 1:45.

Crap!  The Professor's class was all the way out eh other side of the school!  Ben bolted out the door, thinking only of getting to his challenge in time.

Please don't let this RP die! I really like it!

Also, Hermione A., I hope you don't mind that I gave Rapunzel the same challenge as Darius.

Darius~

When I enter the room, Dr. Emperor is sitting there, waiting for me. He adorned a new outfit, as usual. All I know about this principal is that he is from "The Emperor's New Clothes" or something. I slide into the chair in front of his desk. Looking at me, his eyes take the usual path from my face to my cat eyes to my slightly larger hands, then back again as if nothing happened. People always do this, and sometimes it really annoys me. "You must be Darius Crenshaw, then?" he asks.

I nod quickly. "Yessir." Harumphing, he takes out a slip of paper from a drawer on his desk, scans it, then looks back up at me.

"You, my boy, will be headed to the Maze. Be there at 2:00 sharp, and be ready to run." He put the paper back and looked expectantly at me. I jolted in action and jumped up from my seat, slipping out of his room. Ugh, I thought. The Maze. That's my least favorite challenge. The Maze was a huge labyrinth covering the back portion of the school. I had done it once before, and that time I had to solve a TON of puzzles just to get through. I had barely been able to focus on school after that, my head had ached so much. But this time it sounded like I would be escaping from something. Even less fun.

But I sighed and headed to the Maze, jogging so as to not miss the time. I ended up full-out sprinting just to get there before 2:00. Panting, I fell into line with the others. Beside me was a pretty girl with a long, light-brown and blue braid down her back. I noticed her looking at me, and I turned away, realizing with a pang that she was probably just looking at my odd features. Before either of us could say anything, though, the assistant principal who was monitering the task snapped us back to attention. "You will ALL go through the maze UNTIL you find the golden COIN with your NAME on it. UnderSTOOD?" We all nodded, ignoring his way of shouting every few words. He put a whistle to his mouth and blew in it, the sharp sound echoing throughout the Maze. In a few seconds all of the students were dashing off into the Maze, myself included. However, the paths soon branched into many, and we all took a different one.

I quietly crept down the path, cautious of any danger to come. Suddenly, a blue light appeared before. Mesmerized, I was tempted to follow it, but soon recalled the name "Will O' the Wisp" and hurriedly left it behind. After fifteen minutes I felt like was going in circles. Frustrated, I decided to take the path I had never seen before in the whim that it would take me to the center, where I could find my coin and get out of here.

I had only gone about twenty feet along it when my foot wobbled. I looked down, perplexed. But it wasn't my foot wobbling. It was the ground. Gasping, I jumped back, but the cracks emerging from the earth seemed to follow me. In one final attempt, I clawed at the trees on teh side of the road, but missed. My heart froze in my chest as I tumbled down, down, and down into the darkness.

Aha! Finally some time to post!  Amber, I think it might just be you and me now, so we can either take over the other charries or make up some more of our own or a combination of both of you want.

Ben-

As he sprinted down the halls, Ben didn't pay too much attention to anything other than the floor under his paws, until a principal starting yelling at him.

"Mr. Chase! You were supposed to be in your classroom ten minutes ago!" An angry voice called. Ben whipped around to see Ms. White coming up swiftly behind him. With her pale skin, blood red lips, and jet black hair, she was extraordinarily beautiful, but any student with even a quarter of a brain knew better than to cross her. Her tale was wildly different than the circulated version, and all her karate skills had been left out. However, one of her skills had been interpreted correctly, and Ben was glad of it. At least she could understand him.

After a quick explanation of his problems, Ben watched Ms. White anxiously, hoping he wasn't going to be punished. Detention sucked here.

"Ok," Ms. White said. "I can't blame you for a malfunctioning curse, or for a messenger's attitude. I won't report you this time, but you need to get to the Maze, and fast. The next time though..." Ben nodded. He needed to get control of this spell.

"Thanks Ms. White!" he said, with more respect than he usually used when addressing a teacher. Ms. White's tale actually taught people something, and she could fend for herself in a dangerous situation. That was somebody you could learn from. Then he spun around and bolted for the Maze.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He arrived just in time.
"Mr. Chase," the assistant principal said, checking his name off of a list, "so glad you could join us." This earned him a few odd looks from the kids waiting for their turn to enter the Maze, and a few girls started whispering.
Ben made a sarcastic remark about how he was glad the assistant principal could join them, but of course, since he was a wolf, no one could understand him. The assistant seemed to get the gist of it though, and scowled hard, muttering: "End of the line, Chase."
Ben started towards the line, but all the kids backed away from him, scared looks on their faces. Honestly, had they never seen a shifter before? They weren't THAT uncommon, especially here.  Or maybe it just the knowledge that none of them had known about him all this time. Whatever the case, Ben was rather glad they let him go next, because that assistant wasn't his biggest fan. He sauntered up to the darkened doorway and shoved it open with his furry shoulder and stepped through.
He had been inside the Maze before. He knew the drill. Find the coin and get out within the time limit. It wasn't that hard. Ben trotted though the stone corridors for a few minutes, trying to figure out who else was in here with him. He could smell several different girls inside his section of the Maze, and at least three or four boys. His sense of smell was sharp, even for a wolf, and if he ever paid any attention to his classmates Ben was sure that he would have been able to identify them each by name, but of course, he never did. But then a new smell wafted into his nostrils. Was that.... Cat?
Intrigued, Ben followed the scent for a while, running through bursts of fire, swimming through pools of water, and generally beating the obstacle course at every opportunity.  The strange scent grew stronger and stronger until finally, he found the source. Or, what he thought was the source.
Ben rounded a corner to see an empty hallway. He frowned. That wasn't right. Even the smallest and most innocent looking doors were usually equipped with at least two different traps, and empty hall was virtually unheard of. Cautiously creeping forward, Ben covered about half the length of the hall when a new smell came to him. Puzzled, he stepped forward a few more feet. More smells assaulted his nose, all unpleasant. Rot, mold, mildew, and the unmistakable scent of still water full of various plant growth. Ben stepped forward a few more feet, then finally found what he had been looking for. A trapdoor was open in the floor of the hall, and all the smells were coming from it, cat and all. After a few more sniffs, Ben determined that there was at least two more people down there as well as whatever was making that cat smell. Should he jump down to see what was down there?
He didn't really care about his grades anyway. The only thing that challenges did was give you extra points. Ben hopped down the dark hole.
