Okay so our charries live  in a world where everyone has magical powers. An ogre is attacking the city and our charries have to stop it. Pretty simple

Magical powers are both a blessing and a curse. For one, everyone expects so much out of you! Two, when ogres attack the city, it's you who HAS to go save the world. Ugh!
Right now, my brother and I are sitting on my bed. I can't believe that Wei-ming actually is willing to do this! Fight a monster!
"Wei-ming, why do you want this? Like Mama said, it's dangerous and scary! Besides, what if we fail?" I try to argue with him once more. We've been debating for almost twenty minutes already!
"Xiaoqi," He uses my nickname. "We were born with powers for a reason. We need to protect people. This is our job." He looks at me straight in the eye. So responsible! So perfect. My big brother. So annoying!
"Maybe I don't like my job," I mutter.
Ignoring me, Wei-ming looks out the window. Suddenly, he changes the subject. "Hey, want to go outside?"
I jump up. "Yes! Come on!"
Unlike most children, we don't head for the stairs. Instead, we leap off my bed and head for the window, my wide, promising window. "Ready?" Unlocking the lock with a click, I push the window open.
I happily climb onto the windowsill.
The air is fresh, the wind whipping through my long black hair. A perfect day for my powers.
"Ready?" I ask my brother as he climbs up beside me.
"As ready as a dumpling waiting to be eaten." As brother and sister, this is our standard answer, our sibling saying.
Grinning, I spread my arms out and summon my element.
As I lean farther and farther into the open air, the wind swirls around me, stronger, faster. It dances, dives, swoops, soars. My element. Air.
"Come on, come on," I whisper, a smile forming on my face. "Rise!" I slowly bring my arms in.
Finally, with a huge whoosh, the wind wraps around my brother and I and lifts us off the windowsill and into my favorite place. The sky.
"Yeah!" Wei-ming yells as we start to fly, hand in hand, brother and sister. Siblings forever.

"Jazlynn, there is an ogre attacking the city!" My mom thrusts open the door to my room and barges in.

"What?!" I jump off my bed, where I had been playing video games.

"You've got powers! You have to stop it!" She cries.

"Okay. Hold on. Calm down." I put my hands up. "Will the other gifted kids, like, get together or something and we'll all stop it? Or what?"

"Yep. There's a meeting at the city hall for all the gifted children."

"When is it?" I ask.

"Today, four o'clock. From what I've heard, some of them are pretty reluctant. But their parents will convince them."

"Okay, then. I guess I have to." I sigh.

Leona-

I storm upstairs to my room filled with thoughts about how I will ever succeed in this mission. Then I hear a knock on my door.

"At four you will meet the other kids that are going to fight the ogre,"  Mom says. "Be ready."

"Okay," I grumble. Great. Just when I had decided fighting the ogre was for the good of the city, I have to meet up with a bunch of other kids who are--let's face it--freaks. What will they think of me? Or more importantly what will I think of them?

"Stop this, Leona," I mutter to myself. "You're acting strange." Sighing, I put on the uncomfortable pink frilly dress that I'm supposed to wear. Then I put on a loose yellow and orange one instead.

"Can I go out early?" I ask.

"Sure," the voice of my parents replies.

Outside I walk away from the usual streets and into the woods. There I stretch and turn into a lioness. This way I feel more alert, more alive. I'm wild and free. And I will fight the ogre.

Now I stand outside city hall ready to step inside.

"Come on, Qi-qi! Let's fly to the meeting!" I yell over the roar of the wind to my little sister, hovering above the city.
Even over the sound of the whipping wind, I can hear her reluctant sigh.
"Fine!" She calls back, then sweeps her arm. "Fine, Wei-ming!" Soon enough, though, Qi-qi regains her smile.
A strong breeze starts to push us west, faster, faster, faster, both of us whooping with joy.
"I love the air!" Qi-qi screams, as we swerve and almost hit a tree branch.
After that thrilling flying experience, we finally reach the city hall. 
"Let's go in!" I open the big brass door and step in. "Come on!"
Qi-qi steps in, too.
"You know, I could have reached there on foot faster than you could have flying," I tease my sister.
Qi-qi slaps me playfully. "That's not fair! That's your power! Speed!"
"Look who's talking. It's your power too, you know--"
Our conversation is cut off by a tall man at the front desk of this place.
"Hello, children. How may I help you?"
"We are two of the gifted children. We're going to a meeting with the others to stop the ogre that is attacking." As the older one, I do the talking.
"It's in the room on the hallway to the left. It should be the first one there." He points in its direction.
"Thank you," I respond politely. "Come on, Qi-qi."
Together, we start off towards the meeting room.

Leona- 

A man answers me as I walk into city hall.

"Are you one of the gifted children?" he asks.

I nod

The meeting is in the first room on the hallway to the left" the man tells me.

I follow his instructions and end up in a  smallish room. A few people are already in it. Slowly I go to the corner and wait for someone to notice me.

Once everyone has settled in, there is an awkward sort of silence. We all stare at one another, and no one speaks.
Well, this isn't very productive! "Hello, everyone," I clear my throat and stand up. "Should we introduce ourselves? I'm Wei-ming Liu, my power is speed, and this is my sister--"
"I can introduce myself, thanks," Qi-qi interrupts. Shrugging, I sit back down.
"I'm Qi-qi Chang, and my power is air."
"I'm Leona, and I can turn into a lioness." A green-eyed girl pipes up.
Slowly, one by one, we all say our names and powers.
"Sooo," I begin, as another awkward silence begins to settle over us. "About the ogre?"
No response. Just quiet, and the sound of the whispering wind outside.
"Any ideas?"
Still nothing.

Leona-

A tall Asian boy speaks up.

"Hello everyone" he says. "Should we introduce ourselves?  I'm Wei-Ming Liu, my power is speed and this is my sister-"

"I can introduce myself thanks" a smaller girl says. "I'm  Qi-Qi Chang and my power is air"

We keep introducing ourselves this way. Then Wei-Ming speaks up again. 

"Sooo about the ogre? Any ideas"

Just then I hear a roar. We all look around. When nothing happens we turn our attention back on each other. Except for me.

"Well?" I prompt "Because we have to have a plan soon. You know what I think there's a park behind here. Why don't we go there?"

I walk out hoping the others follow. Because if they had looked out a little longer they would've noticed a shadow in the distance roaring in anger.

Okay so what I want to happen is that our charries get to know each other for a little bit and then the ogres attack and somehow everyone gets captured. After that they escape and end up defeating the ogres.
