Family Reunion RP!

Family Reunion RP!

Hello! Here it is, everybody!

People Joining: Joss, Booksy Owly, Cho Chang, Leafmist, and Dragonrider.

Actually, I think that's about the borderline reasonable amount. Sorry, nobody else may join, unless someone drops out. You may have UP TO two charries (but please, at least someone only have one).

Here's the rundown: Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy are hosting a family reunion for our charrie's families. Our charries are all cousins and should be between the ages of 4-16. (Any younger or older is a bit boring.) He lives in Pennsylvania in a large house. Really large. It has three floors, the bottom one containing a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms available for our charrie's families and Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy's room. Two bathrooms as well. Other specific features like balconies are available for changing. The third floor has three more rooms and one bathroom. Again, specific details may be changed. Finally, the house has a basement with a pool table, couches, and a disco ball. Outside, he has a patio, a flower garden, pool, and decent-sized grass field. The basic plot is mostly just our charries doing exciting, silly, things and having adventures during the reunion. There will be... personal... plots like relationships, fights, etc.

You can be siblings with another person's charrie if they want. IF THEY WANT. Relations like, "Our moms are sisters" will be worked out once everyone has posted. Adults are background and will be used in posts but won't be written from the perspectives of. Charrie Sheet is as follows.

Name:

Age (4-16):

Parents' names:

Siblings, yes or no:

Appearance:

Personality:

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.)

Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.)

Here are my characters:

Name: Oliver Amanson

Age (4-16): 6

Parents' names: Mellie Amanson, Jack Amanson

Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.

Appearance: Oliver has curly brown hair that is cut just below his ears and sea green eyes. He is big for his age and most assume he is seven. He standardly wears knee-length shorts and bright patterned t-shirts, picked out by his mom.

Personality: Clingy. He always wants to do what the older kids are doing and be included. Besides that, he is sweet, a generally happy kid, and loves to make jokes. However he is stubborn and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) He is scared of spiders. Very. Very scared. He also can't swim, something his mom is determined to fix...

Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.) Nothing I haven't said.

Name: Harper Amanson

Age (4-16): 11

Parents' names: See Oliver.

Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.

Appearance: She has curly brown hair like Oliver's, that hits just above her waist. Harper usually ties it into a ponytail or pins it up in a bun. Her eyes too, resemble her brother's, but are a much deeper shade of green. She wears jeans or soccer shorts, and tank tops or tees.

Personality: Harper is a lively, fiery, girl. She rushes headlong into things and plans without considering other possiblilities. A prankster, she loves practical jokes and tricks. Also, a daredevil, she will do anything for fun, even when it's a bad idea. She lightheartedly teases her little brother a lot, though she will defend him against more ill-intending bullies. Harper is something of a tomboy, too, though she does love purple and cute animals.

Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) Is allergic to peanuts, and claims to not be able to eat mushrooms, though she just doesn't like them.

Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.)  See Oliver.

Yay! This will be fun! If you are dropping out, please SAY.

Ookz says rxaf. Rex after? No, that really makes no sense at all.

Well, it's something me and my siblings will do. We'll split up into groups of clans and pick "herbs" (plants which aren't grass) and "fight" over "prey" (prey is pinecones most of the time) and fighting is pawing someone else, and if you get "hurt" five times, you have to retreat. In short, it's a physical roleplay.

We can change up rules as needed.

@Booky Owl- Yeah, I noticed that yours was named Hazel, so I'm going to make Summer's sister Hazel be 2 years old. That way she'll be a side character and won't really be involved in whatever the older kids are doing.

Could Clara, Rachel, and eventually Hazel hang out in a group?

And as for Leia, and don't really care.

Idea: At one point everyone should make a huge fort out of whatever they can think of to use and then do something with it. (Make a war between two forts, make it into a house for the little kids, et cetera)

Yeah! Clara can hang out in your group if you want, Cho Another thing, Cho. Can Clara and Rachel sort of like become really good friends over the time of the reunion?

Idk if it's my turn to post again, so I'm going to and if it's not my turn I'm really sorry.

April~

Everyone's here! Now it's time to party! But we can't party without Clara. I have no idea where she is. I find my mom and dad talking to Aunt Lucy and Uncle Charlie, and decide to ask them.

"Mom," I whisper. "Have you seen Clara?"

"No, honey. Ask Dad," she replies. I walk over to my dad, who is sitting right next to my mom.

"Dad. Have you seen Clara?"

"I think she went outside, into the woods." he says.

"Thanks!" I whisper back, already on my way out the door. The weather is refreshing, and crisp, but not cold. The woods are over toward the east side of Aunt Lucy's house. I walk toward them, not knowing that they were full of oak trees. I'm allergic to oak trees. Like, REALLY allergic. I step into the woods. I spot Clara sitting in a tree a few feet away, reading a book. Of course. I scale the tree and sit on the branch, shaking it slightly. Clara doesn't even look up. I poke her shoulder and say, "Hey. Whatcha reading?" Clara sort of holds the book up so I can see the cover, then keeps on reading. "I think it's almost time to eat dinner," I say, still trying to get her attention. She immediately sticks her bookmark in and snaps the books shut.

"What's is for dinner?" she demands. I laugh and tell her,

"I think spaghetti. You wanna come inside?"

"Yes!" Clara hops down from the tree and waits for me to follow her. I smile and jump down as well. We walk back to the house together, excited for the coming week.

Same. About the following along, though not being part of it.

And also, I'm not allergic to gluten.

But I suppose that doesn't really matterin the long run. :)

Summer-

I leave my sisters to play with the younger kids, and join the other girls my age. We talk awkwardly for a few minutes until another girl with curly brown hair rushes in. I remember that her name is Harper.

"Hey guys!" she yells, running down the hill towards us.

When she gets closer, she lowers her voice and says: "I found some water balloons; let's surprise the others."

"Will they be mad?" I ask skeptically.

"It's hot out, they'll be fine," Harper says

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's do it!" I say enthusiastically.

The others soon agree, and as soon as we have found a bucket and a hose, we begin to fill the balloons with water.

Soon we are all stocked up with plenty of balloons. We are ready for battle.

Leafmist, there are no "turns to post." Post when you have time. It's a very flexible thing, RPing. Dragonrider, I am assuming that Leia and Hazel where the girls that Summer was talking with because there are no other of that age besides Harper. When you guys were "deciding" groups you left out poor Harper! Maybe Harper, Leia, and Summer could eventually clump?

Harper~

"Now what?" Summer asks, tieing a knot on a final balloon.

I peek around the corner. "Clara and April are heading inside, so I don't think we can bomb them." All the rest of the cousins, however, are mingling and talking on the lawn.

Leia points to the left. "Bushes. We can hide in them."

"This will be good!" I bounce up and down on my toes. We all gather up as many water balloons as we can carry.

I lead them around the edge of the lawn, behind the bushes. The leaves tickle. "Ow." Leia mutters. "I bet that I've been scratched by these stupid branches a hundred times." Summer nods with feeling.

We make it within firing range uneventfully. "Who should we hit first?" Hazel asks quietly.

I muse this over, but Leia pipes in before I can answer.

"Oliver and Amariah, defenitely. They'll make the best reaction, and while everyone else is confused, we'll go for them!"

I grab a water balloon and focus on my little brother's back. Open fire... a glorious SPLOOSH!

There is a second of silence.

"AAAAAAAAAA!" Oliver shrieks. The rest of the girls unleash a torrent of water balloons on the other cousins, who are yelling and running around trying to catch the perpetrator.

I have to jam the heel of my hand in my mouth to keep from giggling. Leia is almost doubled over laughing silently, and Summer and Hazel are practicing my chuckle-stifle technique.

I lean on the bush, laughing. I should have known that bushes aren't that sturdy. I fall. Through the bushes, straight into the midst of the angry, wet, cousins. Convineintly, a few excess water balloons follow me, identifying my guilt.

The cousins stare at me. Theo walks over, picks up a water balloon, and pops it in my face. I sputter and gasp, blinking water out of my eyes. He reaches for another one.

Then, Rachel strides over, snatches the balloon out of his hand, and throws it at top spin straight at the hole in the bush.

"ACK!" I hear Leia say. Rachel grins.

Theo grabs another and throws it at the bush again. "MY SHIRT!" Summer complains.

"Nice shot." Amariah giggles.

"It's wet!" Hazel says through the bush.

Our victims nod, satisfied to know the identities of the criminals.

Haaaaaarper," Oliver whines, looking at his wet shirt." I'm gonna get—"

"DINNER!" Yells Aunt Lucy. We all tromp up to the kitchen.

"How are you all so wet?" she asks incredulously, surveying us. "What—Nevermind. You all just go change!"

"What happened?" April bursts out as we pass her and Clara on the way upstairs.

We all look at each other and burst out laughing.

@Abigail S.  Sounds good! I wasn't exactly sure how many years apart they could be, and still be "in her age group," so I left it pretty unspecific.
