Family Reunion RP!
Hello! Here it is, everybody!
People Joining: Joss, Booksy Owly, Cho Chang, Leafmist, and Dragonrider.
Actually, I think that's about the borderline reasonable amount. Sorry, nobody else may join, unless someone drops out. You may have UP TO two charries (but please, at least someone only have one).
Here's the rundown: Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy are hosting a family reunion for our charrie's families. Our charries are all cousins and should be between the ages of 4-16. (Any younger or older is a bit boring.) He lives in Pennsylvania in a large house. Really large. It has three floors, the bottom one containing a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms available for our charrie's families and Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lucy's room. Two bathrooms as well. Other specific features like balconies are available for changing. The third floor has three more rooms and one bathroom. Again, specific details may be changed. Finally, the house has a basement with a pool table, couches, and a disco ball. Outside, he has a patio, a flower garden, pool, and decent-sized grass field. The basic plot is mostly just our charries doing exciting, silly, things and having adventures during the reunion. There will be... personal... plots like relationships, fights, etc.
You can be siblings with another person's charrie if they want. IF THEY WANT. Relations like, "Our moms are sisters" will be worked out once everyone has posted. Adults are background and will be used in posts but won't be written from the perspectives of. Charrie Sheet is as follows.
Name:
Age (4-16):
Parents' names:
Siblings, yes or no:
Appearance:
Personality:
Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.)
Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.)
Here are my characters:
Name: Oliver Amanson
Age (4-16): 6
Parents' names: Mellie Amanson, Jack Amanson
Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.
Appearance: Oliver has curly brown hair that is cut just below his ears and sea green eyes. He is big for his age and most assume he is seven. He standardly wears knee-length shorts and bright patterned t-shirts, picked out by his mom.
Personality: Clingy. He always wants to do what the older kids are doing and be included. Besides that, he is sweet, a generally happy kid, and loves to make jokes. However he is stubborn and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.
Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) He is scared of spiders. Very. Very scared. He also can't swim, something his mom is determined to fix...
Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.) Nothing I haven't said.
Name: Harper Amanson
Age (4-16): 11
Parents' names: See Oliver.
Siblings, yes or no: Yes, one.
Appearance: She has curly brown hair like Oliver's, that hits just above her waist. Harper usually ties it into a ponytail or pins it up in a bun. Her eyes too, resemble her brother's, but are a much deeper shade of green. She wears jeans or soccer shorts, and tank tops or tees.
Personality: Harper is a lively, fiery, girl. She rushes headlong into things and plans without considering other possiblilities. A prankster, she loves practical jokes and tricks. Also, a daredevil, she will do anything for fun, even when it's a bad idea. She lightheartedly teases her little brother a lot, though she will defend him against more ill-intending bullies. Harper is something of a tomboy, too, though she does love purple and cute animals.
Extras: (i.e. Allergic to gluten, does ballet, etc.) Is allergic to peanuts, and claims to not be able to eat mushrooms, though she just doesn't like them.
Suggestions: (Like to the house or plot.) See Oliver.
Yay! This will be fun! If you are dropping out, please SAY.
Ookz says rxaf. Rex after? No, that really makes no sense at all.

ok! That's fine! Clara and Rachelle can already be there, just not have done anything. =D

Rachel ~ I have been waiting for this day for, well forever! I packed all of my shirts with puns, shorts, pants, books, my laptop, a couple movies . . . well ten movies. I am ready. Ready to see ALL of my cousins in one place at the same time! It's going to be epic!
~~~~~ An hour later . . . .
Uncle Charlie's house is huge. As we park the car, a bunch of kids ranging from six to sixteen come running out to the car. I wave nervously. I can't remember anything about them. So hopefully spending three weeks here will be okay. (Is this okay?) I open the car door, Leia opening her car door at the same time. "Hi! I'm Rachelle! I'm sixteen. Currently I'm the oldest, excepting Theo," she says, hugging me and bouncing up and down at the same time. I don't know how that's possible. "I'm Rachel. And I'm thirteen," I say, smiling nervously. "Our names are so similar!" she says, finally letting go of me. "Hey, I'm Theo. And I'm sixteen," he mutters. "Okay," I say. "You forgot me!" Leia yells at me. "I'm Leia, and I'm ten," she says. "I've been waiting. I'm Harper, and I'm eleven," she says, grinning at Leia. "Is there anyone my age?" I ask nervously. "Yeah, I'm close to your age. I'm Clara. Rachelle's younger sister," she says. She has a Warriors book under her arm, and a Harry Potter T-shirt. I grin at her. At least ONE person is a geek. "I'm Amariah. And I'm eight," a little girl pipes up. She is dressed head to toe in hot pink with sparkles. A girly-girl. "I'm Summer. And I'm eleven. I have three little sisters. They're all inside," Summer explains. "That's all of us who've arrived. Hazel will be here tomorrow," Rachelle says. "Can I get my things out of our car?" I ask. "Sure. You, Leia and your parents will be staying up on the third floor. Get your things and I'll show you," Rachelle replies.
(December 3, 2015 - 3:35 pm)
Rachel ~ I reach the room which we'll be staying in with a heavy heart. I pull out my laptop, open it up, then plug it in to the wall. I accidentally bump the computer. "Everything is great, everything's grand." Mary starts singing. "Except Gary's always off with his friend." The character now sounds bitter. "It's never me and him, it's always me and him, and him." She looks like she's going to cry. "I wonder when it's gonna end, but I know how it's going to somedaaayy. He'll ride up on a steed, get on one knee, and say Mary will you marry meee . . ." Her voice trails off. I smile. "Pleaseee." She sings, hitting a higher note.
I don't hear the door swing open. "What are doing?" April asks. "I accidentally pressed the play button," I say frowning. "Oh, what are you watching?" she asks. "The Muppets," I say, bracing myself for the next part. "Never heard of them," April says, shrugging her shoulders. I sigh in relief.
Abigail, if you don't mind, can I change Rachelle's name to April? Thanks so much! Oh, I had a couple of ideas for stuff the kids can do during the reunion:
~April could take the kids on a midnight trip to the grocery store to buy junk food
~Maybe at some point there could be a prank war
~Maybe some of the younger kids could try cooking something, and have it end up in a disaster
Just some ideas! Tell me what ya'll think! =D
Misty says wirv. Wire? Why do you want a wire?
(December 3, 2015 - 3:49 pm)
I like the last two ideas, but there isn't really a reason for them to do the first one.
(December 3, 2015 - 6:55 pm)
I love those ideas! So, by now, everyone has arrived, and we can start the fun! Joss, Dragonrider, and Booksy, please post, or say that you will soon.
Summer-
It's been a loooong ride all the way from Virginia to uncle Charlie's and Aunt Lucy's. It's been hardest for me, because even though I brought books, and we were going to play a movie, I was the most bored. My book was great, but I finished it an hour ago. My other one is in the back of the car, and we can't stop to get it out. Grace and Emerson are watching a movie. I was supposed to be, bu my screen broke, so I couldn't. Hazel is only 2, so she was sleeping for most of the time. Luckily, we are almost there.
I'm REALLY excited for the reunion. I barely ever get to see this part of my family, because we live so far away. The last reunion was about 10 years ago. I was a baby, and none of my sisters were born yet. We only saw these cousins, aunts, and uncles once a year on our grandparents' birthdays.
We finally reach the house, and when I see it I immediately feel tiny, and suddenly.... Shy. We all walk up to the door together, and ring the doorbell. We are greeted by a smiling Uncle Charlie, and when we're inside, we see Aunt Lucy and most of the other cousins. I find some of the kids around my age, and we slowly start to remember each other, just a little bit. Soon we are all talking and laughing as if we've known each other forever. I smile. This is going to be great.
Here are some ideas I have had for this roleplay.
-All the cousins get together and have a HUGE game of Warriors for a couple days.
-They all have a game of Water Balloon War (WBW)
Has anyone else noticed that at real life gatherings like this, everyone splits up into groups? Should we do that?
(December 4, 2015 - 10:38 am)
Hey, Leafmist, this is just a suggestion, but maybe you could try creating a new paragraph every time a new character speaks. If you write:
(December 4, 2015 - 12:21 pm)
Dragonrider, my charrie's name is Hazel, just like the sister of your charrie. Let's try not to get them confused!
Hazel-
The long ride to Aunt Lucy's house should have been boring. I should have been waiting impatiently for it to end. I should have been looking forward to this whole reunion thing. Exept for... I'm not. My parents keet telling me that it'll be fun, and that I'll love my cousins, but I'm not so sure. I mean, I'm sure my cousins will be great, but what if they hate me? What if there's no one close to my age? What if... I'm nervous.
We arrive at Aunt Lucy's door, and I'm feeling extremely shy. I feel like I'm either going to melt away, or cry. Aunt Lucy welcomes us in with a smile, and all my cousins chorus their "hello"s. I barely manage to say "hi" shyly, so quietly that they barely hear me. They all seem to know each other already, but they're nice.
"Hey Hazel!" one of them, an older one, says, "I'm Rachelle. We'll give you a tour. You'll be at home here in no time!" I follow her, along with the rest of the group. I hope she's right. I hope I will feel at home here.
(December 4, 2015 - 9:07 pm)
Oh, sorry, I ment April, not Rachelle. :)
(December 4, 2015 - 9:08 pm)
(December 5, 2015 - 10:33 pm)
@Cho- True. I think we should have the cousins sort of hang out in unofficial groups, because in real life they wouldn't all clump together.
(December 6, 2015 - 5:32 pm)
@Cho: What do you mean by Warriors game?
